Brother and Sister

"How is she doing today?" Dignus asked Somi in his meal.

"The same as yesterday, sir. Lady Taneaya remains silent on her bed, refusing to eat," the servant replied.

It had been three days since she regained consciousness, and with great patience to restrain his jealousy and desire, Dignus tended to her. During those three days, he had been constantly arguing with Sandise and the physician. However, her condition was improving, and her stab wounds were quickly drying up.

"Hmm... I see," Dignus muttered, nodding his head.

Somi, who was still standing faithfully by Dignus' side, raised her gaze politely.

"Excuse me, sir. Is there anything else you would like to ask?" Some asked.

Dignus smiled, his eyes glistening. "That will be all, Somi. Thank you," he replied appreciatively. Dignus returned to immerse himself in the enjoyment of his morning meal, while the sunlight swept through the dining room.
