The Interrogation (1)

"I've been away for a whole two days to avoid the family drama" Isabella commented as she dropped her cup of warm tea on the table with a click sound. "But then, I fail to realize that the drama in this house never ends."

Sitting quietly in the living room with Juliana, Isabella couldn't stop herself from bringing up a conversation, most especially after everything that has happened after her return. The Duke hasn't been around lately, and yet so much drama has happened in just one day.

Isabella looks at her mother-in-law, still taken aback by the news of Lord Cassian being married. She hadn't been able to digest that news properly, and then the next thing she witnesses is a weird looking man who claims to have bought his wife first from her family.

"Who exactly is that girl? What family is she from?" Isabella was insistent on satisfying her curiosity.
