Dinner Disaster

I really wanted to say No when my mom offered dinner to Ms. Veronica and Karlee.

Jaz was pulled by some girls in the crowd for a picture even though he isn't part of the show.

As we went in the car, mom asked if it's ok if we take them to our favorite Japanese restaurant.

My sister agreed but I want to say no.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were surprised to see Jaz on the lobby.

"Oh, you're fast. What are you doing here?" Mom asked.

"Oh, I'm actually booking our dinner tonight. I got you the VIP room. Will that be, ok?" He is so arrogant.

"Yes, It's more than ok. Thank You Jaz."

The concierge led us to the VIP room. It was an expensive looking room. There's an open garden and also a long table good for 10 guests.

"This is very nice. Thank You Jaz."

" Excuse me for a while, I'll just go to the washroom." Jaz said.

"I'll go too. Wait for me." My sister and Jaz together went to the washroom.

I sat far from the door and closer to the garden.

"Jadis, is something wrong? I feel like you are not enjoying tonight. What's the problem?" Mom looked like she is worried but I don't want to ruin this evening that she seems to enjoy very much.

"I'm just tired and hungry but I'll be ok once we eat." I assured her so she can enjoy more of tonight.

"Ok, honey."

Karlee arrived with Ms. Veronica and sat close to each other.

Karlee moved his seat beside mine and looked at me for assurance. I nodded and sat there quietly. I can feel Karlee staring at me. Maybe he is trying to check if I'm ok.

Jaz cleared his throat when he entered the room to signal Karlee to stop staring. Jaz sat across Morgan. He sat on the other side of my seat. Again, I'm in the middle of these two men who might start a fight that would definitely ruin my night.

I just have to endure it for a couple of hours more.

While we were eating, well mostly I am picking on my food. I can't swallow properly, Mom and Ms. Veronica started having this conversation with my sister about her performance on the show. At least the 3 of us can just eat quietly.

Or so I thought,

"So happy you finally found your soul mate, Morgan." Mom is very supportive about who we are and who we love. So, my sister, being a bisexual is never an issue to discuss.

"How about you Karlee? Are you currently dating?" And that's my mom asking someone else's personal life.

I looked at Karlee. He was quiet. He smiled at my mom and pretended that his mouth is full.

"Actually, he was telling me about this girl and how much he liked her. But he won't tell me her name."

Ms. Veronica spoke softly like an angel.

I heard Jaz giggled. I looked at him and wonder what is funny about what Ms. Veronica said.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you already know and this is like a Meet-my-Family night. I just find it funny that he seems so protective of that girl in school but he won't tell you her name."

"Jaz, stop." I whispered to him.

"So, you know her? Can you tell me who she is? He keeps on telling me that this girl is so amazing and beautiful. Very talented and a fine lady. But he won't bring her at our house." Ms. Veronica is now very curious.

I am not ready to hear what Karlee would say. I know that she isn't talking about me because the description doesn't match.

"Mom, let's just talk about it at home, please." Karlee said.

"Ha! Really? You can't tell your mom that the girl you've been dating is right in front of her? Are you embarrassed that Jadis is your girlfriend?" Jaz opened his mouth and dropped the bomb right there and then.

Ms. Veronica, Mom and my sister are all looking at us. Mostly at me. We are all shocked except for this loud mouth Jaz.

"Is this true, Jadis? Are you really dating my son?" I know my sister is now curious and want to know more.

There was no nod, no answer to her question. I can't utter a word. I don't want to lie in front of them.

"Yes, mom. I am dating Jadis. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about it because we are actually trying to plan how to tell you both. "Karlee defended me again.

I can feel the food rumbling inside my belly. I feel nauseous and light headed.

"Oh, that's great! I'm not actually mad about it, son. I just wished you told me sooner so I can welcome her properly, you know." My mom and Ms. Veronica hugged each other like they won the lottery. My sister was smiling wider than when she got chosen to be part of the show.

We are in deeper trouble now. How can we keep up with this?

"Not to burst your bubble but I think they are going to break up soon enough." Jaz didn't end there.

"Jaz, what are you doing?" I have to grab his cuffs to tell him that he needs to stop and not to ignite more catastrophe.

"Why?" Mom asked , a little confused.

"Because of me. I will have to steal her away from your son, ma'am. I'm sorry" He bowed in front of Karlee's mom.

"What? It's... what's happening here?" Ms. veronica was as confused as my sister.

"Ford, you better stop this and leave already. You are ruining our night" Karlee is back with his cold tone again. This atmosphere is like a volcano, almost ready to erupt.

I don't have any energy to stop them right now. I am not feeling well and this is too much for my emotional health.

"Aww, Benz, did you really think that I would let you have her without a fight? I will do everything to make her mine."

They kept on arguing and I can already see my sister stopping Jaz and Ms. Veronica holding Karlee down so they won't get into a fight.

I have to make it stop or it might get even worse.

I stood up and felt like my head is spinning. I can feel the food that I ate going up my throat and ready to explode.

I looked at Jaz and without a warning, I vomited on his shoes and fainted.

What a night!
