I brushed off the thought of revenge but instead focused on my curiosity.
It was weird that the royal family haven't attacked me yet. I almost killed the princess a few days ago, and now they're laying low. It must be because I have Christopher by my side that they are so guarded against me.
Should I attack them first? Or should I just leave them alone?
No… I can't just leave them alone. I just found out that they are my family from my biological mother's side, and I need to find answers as to who birthed her. I want to see who my grandfather is, or I won't be appeased.
I stood on top of my roof, looking over the kingdom. I looked at the castle, and then I simply smiled at it as I muttered, "The mystery that's been bugging me since yesterday night, will finally be answered today. Who are you, my grandparents?"
Since yesterday night, when Delia's spirit visited me, the mystery about my family bugged me to no end.
How can I just sit here and do nothing when the answers are within my hands? A single step is all it would take to find the answers I desire!
I created a platform made of mana right under my feet as I jumped a little to warm myself up a bit.
*Boom!*
Then, faster than the blink of an eye, I appeared on top of the middle tower of the castle in a huge burst of speed.
I saw a knight resting on the tower, he was eating some kind of bread and drinking a mug of beer.
His eyes widened as he saw me just appear in thin-air but I made sure to leave him no time to react as I knocked him out with the back of my hand. I looked at the great sword right beside the unconscious knight and stored it in my storage ring.
Hey, a weapon is still loot, right?
I took a deep breath as I smiled, "It's been a long time since I last had fun." I said.
I enhanced my strength by using my mana, and my hand formed a fist, then, faster than sound itself, I punched the ground beneath me.
*Boooooom!*
The ground cracked, and then it sent a chain reaction throughout the castle as everything around me was destroyed to pieces.
A platform made of mana appeared beneath my feet so that I could survey everything that's happening below.
The tower crashed to the roof of the castle, and it took a second before I heard many people screaming for their lives.
Why did I do this, you ask? It was to lure them all out. The royalties and nobles inside won't die because I know that there will be someone protecting them. But the staff of the castle… poor them.
I saw 10 people come out of the castle to the garden in the back, all wearing grand clothing. The one that took my attention was the middle-aged man wearing a crown on his head.
"The king, huh. He is Lorallia's father, and the one who ruined Delia's life." I kept my anger inside me, boiling hotter than magma.
*Boom!*
Another burst of speed and I appeared right in front of the current king.
As if time slowed down around me, I spanned in mid-air and kicked his face, almost decapitating him.
He shot through the debris of the castle with his bleeding.
*Bam!*
He didn't fall unconscious, fortunately for me.
A single step, and I was already in front of him again. I stood on top of his large belly as I restricted him with my earth magic. The ground below us formed ropes to immobilize him, and I said, "You must be asking why I am doing this. To be honest, I have no other reasons aside from being annoyed by the way you do things. I should kill you now for ruining Delia's life but I am holding back, since she said that she doesn't want vengeance. Now," I heavily stepped on his chest, and he spat out some blood, "Did you have a child by the name of Amanda?"
Fredrick Rockfeller coughed up blood as he laid on the ground with a child stepping on his chest, and said, "Who… are you…?"
I felt a presence behind, and the trusted general of Fredrick, a big rough man with a scar on his left eye, thick beard, and bald head, appeared behind me with his sword ready to pierce me from behind.
Too bad…
*Clang*
His sword's tip broke as it made contact with my barrier.
I glanced at the general, and muttered, "Firebolt."
A fireball infused with lightning materialized behind the general, and then hit him on the back, electrocuting him severely as he wore heavy mithril armor. Since his armor is entirely made of metal, it is only natural for the conductivity of the firebolt to increase.
"AAAAAAHH!" The general still tried to raise his sword again, even though he was already suffering from the 3rd-degree burns he had because of my firebolt.
He brought his sword down, and tried to slash my barrier with his sword's sharpness enhanced with his own mana. Again, too bad for him, my barrier can even protect me from a cannon ball.
*Clang!*
This time, his sword shattered into pieces, losing his only weapon.
Without bothering to look at him, this time, a huge earth spike pierced him from below, cutting him in half, right down the middle.
His corpse fell to the ground and his innards made a splashing noise as they also fell.
Fredrick stared at me with frightened eyes. His bloodied mouth then moved as he said, "Why are you doing this!?" *Cough* *Cough*
The grass below him was showered with the blood that came out of his mouth.
"Didn't I already explain why I'm doing this? I am looking for answers! Answer my f*cking question!"
I stepped on his chest a little bit harder, and he coughed up more blood.
"Fine…" He said, "… Yes, I did have a child with someone when I was—" *Cough* "—sixteen. I don't know that baby's name since I left her with the prostitute I impregnated but I did hear her name the baby 'Amanda'. Are you satisfied now?" *Cough* *Cough*
'A grandson of a prostitute? That's my heritage!? And this is my grandfather?'
I stared at my "grandfather", and observed him.
A classic aristocratic coat, large and bushy beard covered with his own blood, long silky white hair, and numerous jewelries around him. But his strength…
How is this my grandfather? He is pathetically weak! He is as powerful as a normal civilian, so why do the people follow someone like him!? They could just rebel! A weakling like him gets to be the leader of an entire country!? How f*cking laughable!
I snorted, and said, "Hmph, someone like you can never be my family. Now, feel the helplessness Delia felt for all these years!"
I grabbed his right hand, and ripped it apart from his body!
"AAAAAHHH! MY ARM!! MY ARM!!!!" Fredrick screamed in pain, and coughed up even more blood.
The other royalties behind us could only watch in terror as they saw their king being torn apart by me. I didn't stop until all of his limbs were gone. I ripped them apart with only my bare hands, using some [Playful Monkey] techniques so that he could feel more pain. I did it all slowly as I stared at him, indifferent to his suffering.
I didn't get any joy from ripping him apart, only emptiness.
I released the barrier around us, and walked away.
I looked at the current queen, a noble woman with lots of foundation makeup on her face, lips that were obviously riddled with lipstick, brown hair that's tied up in a very weird way, and a huge green dress. She also had a lot of jewelry all over her body.
Heh, all of them are like the classic nobles that I read about in the books.
In a single flash, she was cut in half from the waist up. A dagger, present in my hand, and not a drop of blood touched it.
I killed her because she annoyed me.
Since Grammarly is a bit sh*tty today, you might find a mistake or two in this today's chapter.
Anyway, drop some stones and write a review about my novel if you find it good.
