Chapter 18: Saving People

There was light on top of the ground area, meaning that there are goblins up there, and I can't be seen in places where the light can touch. I need to stay hidden in the dark so that I could use my element of surprise to kill any goblin that crosses my path.

But right now, killing them is not my main objective. My objective is to survey the village to see anything that I could use against them once I invade their village. I went out of the shed, and I saw that it was dark outside, only the light from the moon shone on the village.

I saw that for a goblin village, their houses are neatly lined up. There was only a single road that leads straight to a large wooden house at the end of the village, and at the other end was a gate. I jumped on top of the roof of one of the houses while barely making any sounds at all.

I saw some houses were lit up, that must mean that a few goblins are awake at night. I looked around to find the one I was looking for and found it near the big house at the end of the village. Now, this has become a problematic situation.

There's another reason why I came here, and that is to rescue the human live stocks they captured. This human livestock is used to breed and for eating, and the big shed near that big house is where they are kept. I suspect that the one living in that big wooden house is the Ogre tutorial bot mentioned earlier, and battling a creature 2 and a half times stronger than I am isn't an ideal thought of mine.

My power level currently is almost 200,000, and that Ogre has a power level of 500,000. The gap is just too big, and I might get killed if I confront it on my own. I should probably bring Vane when I invade this village later. Vane is already at level 2 of the Rainbow Core Stage, and he said to me that he has 5 colors in his Rainbow Core. Now, this was shocking because most of the imprisonment Stage cultivators only have 4 colors! Most of the time, the people that reach the Rainbow Core Stage can only have 1 or 2 colors, it's a miracle if they have 3 colors, and a myth if they receive 4.

And Vane has 5… five colors! Even Terra was amazed, and couldn't help herself take him as her official disciple. Vane just agreed to her offer because, well, who wouldn't when they have a monster woman who can lift mountains with one hand and another at the other hand?

Anyway, I surveyed the shed where the human live stocks were kept, trying to find if any guards are guarding it. I saw 4 goblin warriors sleeping on their chairs, and I quickly thought that this was a chance to evacuate the people in there!

First, I need to hide my mana, in case another goblin mage notices me. It was hard to do but I managed to hide my mana signature so that no one can sense me. But this is not a perfect solution because the ogre can still sense me if it wakes up.

Since I needed to be discreet, I jumped down to the dark alleyways of the goblin village, completely masking my presence and physical body. I barely made any sound as I ran straight to the shed near the house of the ogre while dodging stuff like garbage cans and things that would cause loud sounds.

When I finally reached the house of the ogre, I went to the right and sneaked behind the guards. I then bought a bottle of poison from the [Shop], which cost me 1000 KP since this is extremely lethal according to the description, and then I poured a single drop to each of the goblin warriors. In less than 10 seconds, they were already dead.

Their corpses were already cold, and I was careful not to touch them because this poison would also make contact with their blood and their blood would turn to poison. It's a toxic one that eats the body from the inside out until nothing is left. I should use this poison to kill sleeping enemies from now on, it's extremely useful after all.

After making sure that they were all dead, I made my way inside the shed. As soon as I entered it, a pang of smell hit me and I almost gagged because I saw that feces were littered everywhere along with urine. I saw some women at the corner, shaking. I looked a little closer and realized that they haven't been touched, and have only been stripped of their clothing. I saw a human corpse, female, at the other end of the corner.

It looks like she killed herself by using a sharp piece of wood to impale her head.

Maybe this is the reason the women were shaking in fear? I don't know.

I canceled the effects of the necklace by taking it out so that they could see me.

I slowly walked towards them, and I made a sound when I stepped on a piece of wood, alerting the women. They immediately looked at me, fear evident in their eyes. But to calm them down, I said, "Shh, shh, shh. Don't be scared, I'm a human, just like all of you. I came here to rescue the people they've captured but I arrived here too late because one of you has already killed herself."

When they got a better look at me, I saw relief in their eyes until they realized something.

A woman with short blue hair, oceanic eyes, and white pearly skin then said in a hushed tone, "W-Why i-is a toddler like you here? You can't be here, they'll kill you!"

"Don't worry, my family and I have a safe house somewhere underground. I can take all of you there! Your number seems a bit problematic… but I'll find a way to sneak all of you out of here." I said as I was already looking in the shop for cloaks that have any ability related to the effect my necklace has. Fortunately, I found 1. It's called "Assassin's Cloak". As its name says, this cloak is made for assassins and is great for sneaking and hiding. But just as I was about to say something, I heard the blue-haired woman say something.

"We can't run away… they cut the tendons in our legs so that we couldn't escape." She said, and I immediately frowned.

I can heal them but it'll cost me 35,000 KP, and along with the cloaks which cost 10,000 each, then in total, this heist would cost me 105,000 KP! My god! I just managed to earn a million KP and it's now being drained faster than I expected! I'll go bankrupt at this rate!

With closed eyes, I bought 7 rejuvenation pills and 7 assassin's cloaks. I'm just fighting for good… yeah, this is to save these poor women!

But at the back of my head, I was saying something way different: "Why should we save them? It would only stunt our path to become stronger! These women are nothing but mere humans! They cannot compare to us! They will die just like the rest of them!"

I ignored my inner voice, and smiled at the women, "I also have a solution to that. See these pills?" I took out a rejuvenation pill and showed it to them, "This pill will instantly heal your injuries! I have seven of these for each of you, so don't worry about anything and just follow my words." I walked towards them, offering the pill for someone to test.

The blue-haired woman just shrugged and took the pill, and then ate it. What could she do at this point anyway? If this pill was poisoned, then so be it. She'd rather die than be defiled by those filthy goblins. But strangely, she didn't feel any pain, only the rejuvenation feeling of the pill. She stood up shakily as this is the first time in two days since she was able to walk, and every woman with her had their eyes brighten up.

I gave a single pill each, and a few minutes later, they were now cured of any injuries they had.

As I watched them slowly get used to walking once again, I saw the blue-haired woman controlling her mana. Now, this is confusing.

"Were you perhaps a soldier, miss?" I asked her.

She nodded at me, and said, "Hmm, something like that. Why, can you use magic, too?"

I flared up a small spark between my fingers, and she smiled, "You're very talented for someone your age. But this is not the time to talk about this kind of stuff, we need to get going now, the guards outside might wake up soon."

The other women agreed with her, but I said, "Don't worry, I've already killed them."

They turned to me, shocked. I saw their naked bodies, which, for a 3-year-old, can still arouse me, very much so. But they didn't care about that, they heard a child say that he killed 4 goblin warriors!? Even for generals of the Albion Empire, 4 goblin warriors would be a problem.

And a toddler killed all of them!? How could they believe that!?

"If you can't believe me, then look outside. But first, all of you have to put these on." I took out 8 cloaks, 7 for them and one for me. I realized that I can't use the necklace because they wouldn't be able to see me, and that would become a big problem. For example, if they cannot see me how can they follow me?

So using the same cloak as theirs is a great option right now.

Soon, they put on the cloak. The cloak was black with silver engravings all over it, these are the inscribed runes for the effect of the cloak to work. We all put on our hoods, erasing almost all of our presence.

Soon, we were ready for our escape.

I hope this is not that cliche. By the way, do you guys have any idea how I can make goblins more worst than the goblin slayer version? No reason, in particular, I just wanted some ideas.

Anyway, give a review if you like this novel, hope you enjoyed this chapter, stay well, and as always, thank you for reading!

Drop some stones, too.
