Espada Meeting

Not expecting the spotlight on him, Grimmjow's mind went blank for a second as he tried to come up with something to say to his fellow Espada. "The Soul Reapers of the 13 Court Guard squads lack the same discipline as our Arrancar. Unlike our system where Rank and power are clearly defined and understood by all, there are many in the 13 Court Guard squads that have a lower rank yet stronger battle power than a specific superior. Or their personal relationship has affected the way orders are distributed and carried out, of course not everything is done by the book but they use the book more as an optional thing."

The Espada each had varied reactions to this interpretation, Layla nodded her head as she already knew that was the case. Instead of Layla, it was Ulquiorra that spoke next. "The Next time we go to the world of the living, the spiritual pressure restriction that the soul reapers wear will get removed much quicker. What are your suggestions on how we should move our forces?"

"For now an Espada 4 and above isn't needed on these excursions, there isn't anyone in the world of the Living with the power to truly threaten the lives of a member of the Espada. In Fact, the Faccion of Espada 0-3 would actually be enough to cripple the advance force they brought to the world of the living." Grimmjow said this as he looked at the dishes that were being spread out on the table.

"Very well, Today is September 8th. During the next month or so the Soul Society will figure out Aizen's plans to create the Oken. Somewhere down the line, Aizen will ask for the capture of a human by the name of Orihime Inoue. This will happen between now and November, her capture will cause Ichigo to come to Hueco Mundo. As you all know his level of strength, he has a High possibility of surviving an attack from an Arrancar below the Faccion rank but, His friends may die." Layla said this as she put sugar in her teacup, looking at the Espada that were focused on every word she said.

"Frankly their deaths do not bother me, I never sided with the Soul Reapers and I don't think that is what anyone in this room wants to do either. While Soul Reapers don't truly 'Kill" hollows our existence isn't something that they can tolerate. At the same time, we can't go to war with the Soul Reapers and completely eliminate them due to a myriad of reasons. So for now we will take this a step at a time, we will not be too hostile against the Soul Society as we need their help to kill Aizen and free our brethren." Taking a sip of her tea Layla looked at the Arrancar with an inspecting gaze. Each and everyone looked at her, their eyes contained something that stirred up the emotion within Layla.

"What lies ahead is unknown but we must stay true to our goals, only then can we truly carve out a place for us Hollow in this reality. They look down on us, The Soul Reapers. They don't believe that we will ever be their equal, it seems they forget that we are the manifestations of their dark emotions. We were once them, but now that we are Arrancar we have regained our clarity. I think Aizen is going about this the wrong way but that is a conversation for another day.

Moving on, any status updates on Resurgimiento?" When Layla said this Espada 1-5 nodded yes while the others showed complex faces.

"Resurgimiento is the Arrancar equivalent of the Bankai so I understand there hasn't been too much progress when it comes to completely mastering it but you should have at least talked to your Zanpakuto Spirits right?" Layla looked at the Espada and they each gave differing responses.

"Trepadora is so Annoying! Acting all high and mighty! That Octopus bottom having bitch!" Luppi's face grew red when he thought of his Zanpakuto spirit, her face looking at him with disdain as she swam through the waters of his Spirit World.

"Brujeria says that my knowledge of my Resurreccion is not sufficient enough for me to safely assume the Resurgimiento. He first wants me to achieve complete control of my Resurreccion before we move on to training with his power mixed into mine." Zommari gave a more detailed report on his findings which gave the other Espada some insight on how to improve their forms.

Layla nodded her head as she expected that much, Szayelaporro touched his glasses and a small projection appeared in the center of the table. "Fornicarás told me that not even my Resurreccion is fully developed which I found hard to believe due to it just being a manifestation of my Hollow powers. However, when I experimented with it I discovered that there are certain traits that do not appear until a Hollow evolves into an Arrancar. I took this a step further and experimented on the Arrancar turned by the Hogyoku to discover that while their Zanpakuto spirit is incomplete it is still there! This means in a certain environment we might be able to turn the Artificial Arrancar into a fully-fledged Arrancar."

The Espada sat wide-eyed by this new development.

"So the Espada that were created by using the Hogyoku can also move up in rank, interesting this would make everything more competitive if we let this information out. Faccion, Vaina, and Numeros could compete to get stronger and advance their ranks. How we could actually implement this needs discussion and research but this is good news for those who aren't natural-born Arrancar." Layla said as she smiled thinking about the future.
