ALEXANDER XAVIER KNIGHT (AXK)

I woke up feeling restless and I couldn't help but wonder why. I have never woken up feeling like this, so I decided to check my wolf Xavier if he can sense any danger.

"Hey Xav, do you sense any danger or something that could explain why I feel this way?"

Nope nothing so far. But I can't help but feel like something big is going to happen today.

"Okay buddy"

As you may have guessed I am a wolf, and I am the Alpha of the Silver Moonlight pack. One of the strongest packs around, and we are known for being strong and peaceful. My family has never believed in senseless violence hence we are dangerous in the battle field. Because if there is a fight between us and another pack, then best believe they provoked us. And it's never good for them. Then we have the Beta who is my second in command and my best friend Blake. We have Gamma Bryan who is third in command and Delta Paul who is head of training. They are both mated to my sisters Ashely and Abigail respectively. Then there is a Luna, who is the mate of the Alpha. Unfortunately I have not found my mate yet. And that means I feel incomplete without her because a mate is the other half for a wolf. If anything happens to them you feel their pain, joy or any other emotion they feel and vice versa.

I walked downstairs to find my family in the kitchen having breakfast by the dining table.

"Good Morning everyone"

"Morning"

"Good Morning Alpha"

My mom and dad greeted me back, my dad loves to call me Alpha even though I am his son. At first it was a way to show respect but after the first week I got tired of being called that by everyone and wanted my family to at least call me with my name. But then dad started to tease me with it and he never stopped. I also stopped grumbling about it and allowed him to tease me as he pleases. My sisters were off to training since one is mated to a Gamma and the other to the Delta. It took a lot of convincing for me and their mates to agree to allow them to train but I didn't have much of a choice after everyone thought it would be a good idea to allow them to train, this way if we are to go off to war or something then we will be able to trust that they can take care of everyone.

"Where are you going sweetie?" my mother asked, looking me apprehensively because I am wearing my office attire on the day my best friend is graduating. So in her mind I am going to work and I will miss his big day.

"I am going to Blake's graduation ceremony, I have to give a speech."

"Oh thank the moon goddess, I thought you forgot and you were going to the office and you would miss his big day."

"Well I best be going. See you later"

Once I got into the car I drove straight to school and place my businessman poker face on. I am the CEO of one of the biggest companies in the world. Knight Group of Companies. We own businesses in a lot of the sectors or markets and they all fall under our group of companies. I arrived at the University and parked my car in the lot, I realised I was a bit late so I hurried straight into the hall. When I walked in they were giving a prayer, as soon as I sat down, they all said Amen and the ceremony began. I couldn't help but catch a whiff of the greatest smell ever, Vanilla with Cinnamon and Saffron. I knew what this meant, my mate was here.

Our mate is here, we have to find her NOW!

"Hold on a minute Xav, we can't do that. If you forgot we are in a hall, full of humans. They will wonder what is wrong with me to be having my nose up in the air as if I have gone crazy."

Okay fine. But if she leaves, I am blaming you.

Xavier cut of our link grumbling about how our mate will leave and we won't be able to find her. But he needs to calm down and understand the situation is not easy. I guess I was lost in space because when I looked up the VC was introducing the SRC President who will give a speech. I couldn't careless, all I wanted was for this ceremony to end so I can look for my mate. But at that moment, the scent got stronger and stronger and stronger until it stood a few feet away from me. There at the beginning of the stage stood a goddess who took my heart and breathe away. Xavier howled in my head and chanted the word Mate, Mate all over in my head. She must have felt my eyes on her cause she stood there for 2 minutes, the pull of the mate bond must have made her wonder what's going on with her cause as she walked to the podium she was shaking her head slightly. Words could not put her justify her beauty. But the thing that cause blood to rush down south was her soft but firm and strong voice. She had the power radiating off her in a graceful and elegant way. She commanded the room to pay attention to her alone, and the speech she gave was unique, short and to the point. After her speech she walked down and avoided eye contact with me. I decided to keep my speech short and to the point by congratulating them and wishing them luck on their journeys while giving them pointers in how to start their careers and life.

After my speech I went and sat down but I couldn't help but to announce through the link that I found my mate and their Luna. I heard howls and cries of joy and questions like:

"When do we meet her?"

"Where is she from?"

"How does she look?"

"When am I getting grandbabies?"

I knew the last one was from my mom and I could help but feel like chuckling but I had to keep down, after all people would be surprised why I am laughing on my own. The procession then started and I couldn't help but notice that all the girl's tries to hang onto me longer than necessary. One of them had the guts to slip her numbers on my hand when I shook her hand. Xavier wanted us to rip their throats out cause we understood that as much as she is human, but the bond is there and she will be hurt when she sees such things. He couldn't stand anyone hurting his Luna. Finally she came and stood next to me for her picture to be taken. Her scent was strong and I wanted nothing more than to kiss the living daylight out of her and mark her as mine. But I had to wait and Xavier took that time to speak in my head: We were blessed with a beautiful mate.

"Yes we do have a beautiful mate" I think I said that out loud cause she looked me straight in the eye with curiosity. After congratulating her she walked away from me, and I had to practice inhuman control to not walk after her.

Once the ceremony was done I walked to find Blake so he can help me locate my mate, only for me to catch my mates scent mixed with Blake's. I wanted to kill him in the worst way possible until I remembered that he was mated to my cousin. That's why I relaxed. When I reached their group, I heard words that wanted to kill me immediately.

"Oh yeah about that, I am leaving for Botswana in a few days"

"WHAT!" I couldn't stop the word especially since it was both me and my wolf speaking at the same time. Everyone turned to find me standing fuming with anger, they all cowered back and my pretty little mate stood there looking at me in the eye not scared at all. I knew what was going on in her head, the bond was making her feel the need to calm me down and not to be scared of me. The rest of the group understood that she's my mate because I saw a smiles forming on their faces, and I knew they had a plan that could end up badly for someone and in this case there someone was my mate. But that also meant I get to be close to her and find a way to make her understand that I am no monster instead I am a person who was made to love her alone.
