12. Greatful.
The three looked up at the 2 storied house as soon as they reached the house.
"Woah…! This house is so big... But, not so clean!" Rachel said scratching her head and Dean nodded his head with a brief smile.
"Yes. We should clean this…! But it's fine... I will do it. You don't have to worry!" Dean replied, making Rachel raise her eyebrows at him.
"Are you sure?" Rachel asked.
"Yes... It will take no time." Dean answered.
"Alright. I will wait in the garden till you clean the house!" Rachel said and Dean nodded his head at her. Rachel walked away from them and sat down under the tree.
Athena looked at Dean and gave him a small smile.
"Athena, You can go rest too... I will be back soon!" Dean said and Athena shook her head, getting irritated.
"Huh?" Dean asked furrowing his brows!
'I will help you!' Raksha answered through their mind, making Dean shake his head in no.
'No... Please... I can't let you work!' Choas said and Athena shook her head.
'We are all similar here... No one is big or small... Just be comfortable.' Raksha replied, making Dean smile brightly.
'Alright. Thank you. Let's go!' Choas smirked and Athena nodded her head as she smiled.
They both walked inside the abandoned house and started cleaning it up…!
They cleaned the bedroom upstairs first, So, Rache could rest inside, rather than outside. Even though the house was abandoned a few years back. It was still in a good position. There was furniture and all the facilities in the house that were still working and had power.
The house was a two storied building that was well built. It was not lavish, but a classic house with a traditional touch. Athena liked the house very well and as it was on the outskirts of the city. No one was going to suspect them as they were living alone in the house without any elder in the house.
That suddenly scared Athena as she thought of thinking to stay alone from then, without her parents…! For the first time!
But she couldn't thank Dean enough for saving them from the worst moment.
She would always be grateful for him for what he was doing to them…! But what came into her mind suddenly was that Dean said he would stay with them from right then…!
Did that mean, he didn't have parents or anyone who would look after him? That question was killing her and so, she wanted to ask him, but didn't want to force him for anything. Because they just met a few hours back…
Athena walked upstairs to Rachel's room and opened her room's door.
She walked inside and saw Rachel sleeping peacefully on the bed that was bigger and softer than the bed in their house.
She looked so good and fresh after so many days in a fresh pair of clothes, which they both got from the market with the little money that was near Dean.
Athena sat down beside Rachel and caressed her hair. She took Rachel's hand in the herd and kissed her hand.
'I will save you, no matter what!' Athena said to herself and kissed her forehead.
'You are my elder sister…! But from on, I will look after you as my little sister. I will make you have an amazing future that you will love.'
Athena said to herself.
'I will work hard for you, Sis…! I will work hard for you! And, I promise that, I will find those bloody culprits of our parents and will show them the hell as they showed us.'
Athena said to herself as she took a deep breath.
'I don't know how to tell you the truth about our parents, but I promise, I will tell you one day. Until then, forgive me, Sis. Forgive me!' Athena said.
'Sleep well.' Athena said with a smile and got down from the bed.
She walked outside the room and closed the door behind her back.
She walked downstairs and sat down on the couch with a sigh.
"So, what do you think we should do now? We have a house to live in but... We can't just live like this..." Dean said, making Athena look up at him.
'Don't you have anyone over here, Choas?' Raksha asked, making Dean move uncomfortably.
'No, I don't.' Choas answered, making Athena frown at him.
'My parents passed away too!' Choas said as he sighed.
'I'm sorry!' Raksha replied.
'It's fine.' Choas said.
'Umm... I have some money with me... That can lead us for a few months... ! But, we need to find a solution for our living...' Choas said and Athena nodded her head.
'And I need to educate Rachel. She should go to school.' Raksha replied.
'What? Only her?' Choas asked, making Athena frown at him.
'Don't you want to go to school? Don't you want to study?' Choas asked, making Athena smile.
She kept her hand on his and shook her head.
'No... As much as I love my studies... I still can't do it because right now, what is important to me is my sister and her future. Not mine... I have nothing right now to give her a good education, but still, I can try to find a way…! I will do anything for my sister. I will work hard for her. She is the only one I have right now... I will look after her so well.'
Raksha said as Athena smiled brightly.
Dean just looked at her as he took a deep breath as he thought, how can a 10 year old girl be so mature at this age. He was shocked for sure…! But he was surprised at how strong the girl in front of him was. He was happy that he met her and he promised himself that he would never leave the girls alone.
'I will find out about what you girls are hiding! And will help you in every way I can!' Dean said to himself as he took a deep breath but he just couldn't accept that, the girl from the royal family wanted to work…!
And, that too at that innocent age. He didn't want that to happen and wanted her to look after herself too.
'Then, what about you?' Choas asked as Dean raised his eyebrows at her.
