I hadn't even noticed that I was pacing until the very moment I stopped and looked at my mate. His eyes were expressionless as he gazed down at my shaking form. My tears were gushing out at this point, and I knew very well that I probably looked like a complete mess in front of him. But I didn't care. I didn't care if he were to walk out at this very moment and admit that he was kidding all of this time. Leading me on to think that I was indeed his mate and a part of his world when in reality, this was all just a joke and I were to find out that werewolves really didn't exist. It was all just an act to mess with the new girl. Why would they do it? I don't know. But I was already used to be lead on and if Marcus was to reveal that those were his intentions since the day I arrived here, I wouldn't be surprised. I would be hurt as hell, but I knew I would survive this eventually. But his actions took me completely by surprise.
