"He should've been the Alpha by now. The next Alpha in line is supposed to take his rightful place once he turns 21. His training starts at the age of 14 until the moment comes." He paused, letting out a low growl before continuing. "We, as Alphas, need to wait until our 18th birthday in order to find our mates. Our wolves take over and follow their scent, which is how I found you." He planted a kiss on my forehead, igniting another sensation through my body. "He was out finding her when he was overwhelmed by a sudden agonizing pain on his chest and that's when he knew. He followed her scent and found her shot dead on the ground. There was a human settlement nearby and they must have gone hunting earlier before they had spotted her. In his outrage of losing his mate before he even got the chance to meet her, he allowed his wolf to take over and he killed every man that was in the settlement that night."
