Suddenly, we heard a piercing scream come from behind, making us lose our focus on the wolf in front of us. We knew whose scream that was, and it made our heart clench with pain. My wolf turned to look at our freshly made wound and it was then that we realized it was the same exact spot where we had that huge gash form on our skin from before. The one that we now had was about the same length and there was no doubt that Rocky was feeling it now. She was human, meaning that her previous injury was still left to heal. With this one now appearing on both of our bodies, there was no doubt on my mind that the pain was intensifying with every second that passed by for our mate. My wolf whimpered in the back of my mind as he fought the urge to run to her aid. But we couldn't leave now, knowing that there was somebody threatening to take her from us. Permanently.
