CHAPTER THIRTEEN

My birthday party ended and every guest that attended my party left, the others that stayed back were my workers, who were busy tidying up the hall used for my birthday party and some business partners that wanted to discuss a thing or two about helping them grow their business with me. Obviously, my company is one of the top Successful companies, flourishing in Europe and the whole world. Anyone that had a chance to do business with me was really lucky because their business will pick up immediately, once other of my business partners and fans know that they are affiliating or partnering with me for a project. " My head hurts." I say to myself. I used my hands to hold my head a little, putting the other hand in my trouser Pocket, watching my workers tidy the hall. I noticed Akira walking towards my direction. " What does she want this time?" I say to myself. Groaning slightly because of the migraine. " Hey! Boss…remember I told you I had a surprise for you ?" Akira ask me, patiently waiting for a reply. I was fed up and tired already. I didn't want anymore gifts from anybody. I am not a child, I thought to myself. "I remember vividly." I say to Akira forcefully letting out a smile. She could tell I was already tired and need to rest my head. " I know you are tired boss.. but this surprise will energize your body and shake you off from your weakness… trust me." Akira say to me, before finally running back to where she came from. "Hold on! " She say to me, screaming from where she is. " I'm not going anywhere." I reply to her, laughing.  I looked at my wrist watch, it was almost 2am in the morning. 

"I better be fast asleep soon, so I can meet up with the company deliverables tomorrow morning." I quietly say to myself, yawning so loud. I notice Akira coming back with a gentle man, wearing a brown tuxedo." Ethan.. meet Chris." Akira excitedly introduced us. I look at Akira a bit confused as to why she brought an unfamiliar face to greet me. " I know you will be wondering who this is?" Akira say to me, as if she knew what I was thinking. "Yes! I don't seem to know Chris." I say to Akira, carefully staring at Chris. I sized him from head to toe. He really looks expensive. " Meet the CEO of Max technology. The contract we have been trying to close before your birthday?" Akira ask me. " Oh yes! I remember now.. it's nice to meet you one on one."  I say to Christopher. " Its also my pleasure too..Ethan, and once again happy birthday." Chris say to me, extending his hands to shake mine. " I will love to work with you as a partner, if you are still interested in the contract. And you don't need to fill any contract form to apply. I have given you the contract already..see it as my birthday gift to you." Chris say to me, smiling and sipping from the wine glass that he held. 

So far, this is the best news to end my birthday party. I didn't see any reason to be weak or tired again, this contract deal truly made me energetic as Akira had told me before now. Who wouldn't be happy getting a contract deal worth $200 million dollars. " So I'll see you around, soon. I will call you or your workers, so we can start working on the project. " Chris say to me. Walking away majestically. Bidding Akira bye and in few minutes, he was out of my sight and in his car, about to speed off.

"Congratulations boss! Now you wouldn't have to worry about filling a form to apply  for the contract project for max  technology." Bart say to me, as he walked towards I and Akira. He witness the CEO of Max technology- Chris, discussing with me. And when Chris was done and left, he didn't hesitate to come meet me to hear the good news. " Did I just see one of the biggest CEO in Africa.. having a discussion with you." Bart ask me, expecting an answer immediately. "Yes! He is the CEO of Max technology. The biggest business here in Africa." Akira replies to Bart. 

Apparently, she must have done her research on the classy, rich CEO. I was quite impressed too. I can't believe I landed a contract deal that I have been trying to get for years, on my birthday, with a banging headache. " Akira, thank you so much… How did you do it?" I ask her, now eager to hear how she was able to get Chris to attend my party and give me the contract without any protocol." Well, I'm not the only one you should be thanking.  Genevieve called me few days back while we were preparing for your birthday party and gave me details about Chris." Akira say to me. " Really? Genevieve?" I ask Akira again to be sure of what she was saying. " Yes! Chris is a good friend of Genevieve, that is why she was able to book a meeting for Chris to attend your birthday party to  meet with you in person " Akira say to me, nodding and confirming what she said. " I'm confused! How come? I thought Genevieve- my personal assistant stopped working for me after Olivia fired her. And how was she able to get his number? You know he's based here in Africa, while Genevieve is still in Europe." I ask Akira again, baffled at her reply. I became confused. " Ethan! You know.. I  don't know that part. Genevieve just called me and told me to take down Mr Chris contact details to call him and schedule a meeting with you today, because she already told him about you." Akira say to me, almost like she herself is confused.
