In the past few days, Anaya had been accompanying Adams in the hospital. Adams felt very strange.
"Anaya, did you quarrel with Joshua?"
Anaya denied it. "No, grandpa. Just take care of yourself and don't worry."
Then she handed the peeled fruit to Adams. "Aracely asked me to bring you this fruit. I heard that it was imported from Laos and is very nutritious."
She did not want to tell Adams what happened between Joshua and her. Adams couldn't force her to say it but only sighed. "If you feel aggrieved, come back. Joshua is not the only man in the world. Don't be too stubborn."
Anaya joked, "Other people's elders hope their younger generation has a happy marriage, but you have always advised me to break up with Joshua."
"Because Joshua treats you badly..."
As Anaya and Adams chatted, someone knocked at the ward door. Then Cecilia and Joshua walked in.
Anaya's smile immediately disappeared.
