Chapter 34: Date

   Vanessa arrives in a hurry and for only two reasons, one is for date and the other is what she still couldn't find out, the question keeps bugging her, why is she so anxious about this date, feeling enthusiasm, joy, excitement, confusion, all for one guy.

  George.

  "Is it that I like him?

  "We  talked only once." 

  Maybe those red eyes of his have a charm, charm of drawing women close to him " Lady Penelope " mumbling I drop my bag in the living room then move to the kitchen.

  " am back " 

" How was work today at the castle?" she smile still chopping the onions.

  " it was awesome, just like always " I can't tell her I got punished.

  " you didn't go to work today ??" Asking I watch her shake her head.

" you see my child " she smiled.

   " I was given a break".

  Ever Since I was working in the castle as a maid, lady Penelope has been like a mother to me. She never used her position as the head of maids to suffer us. She's just too caring.

  " I don't want you doing things that will put you in trouble Vanessa, you're still a child" she shakes her head.

 " I will resume tomorrow and…." Shaking my head I look at her.

 "No lady Penelope, from now on I want you to rest, gain some weight and start looking young again".

  cleaning her tears I bend down " you're like my mother and my best friend, I will do anything to make you okay, you have lost a lot of weight and I hate that… you have done so much for me".

  Lady Penelope chuckled.

" oh milady, I have a date with the crown prince so I need to get ready.

  "The crown prince?" She was shocked.

  "When did you get close to the crown prince? I mean an ordinary Maid like you?"

  "It's a long story, just that I promised him else I won't go either".

  she nod and I stand to my feet moving out of the kitchen but she said something to stop me in my tracks. 

  " thank you, Vanessa, I couldn't ask for a better friend like you " smiling I move to the living before running upstairs to my room, walking into the shower I take my bath slow but when my eyes glance at the time that it's almost eight I had to rush things.

  Coming out of the bathroom I rob some lotion on my body, put on my underwear then pick up a red short dress, handless and has a v shape on my chest, putting my cleavages out.

  Brushing my hair, I apply my hair spray, did natural makeup then put on some lip gloss.

  Staring at my reflection in the mirror I bite my lower lip, it looks like am seducing someone, this dress is a little too tempting.

  " Vanessa, the prince is here!!" Hearing Lady Penelope's voice, I shake my head, no time to change anymore.

  " coming " 

Grabbing my veil, I walk downstairs to the living room, when George's gaze land on me I watch him stand to his feet, he is putting on a red suit that complements those eyes, the jacket of his suit on his shoulder, his hair combed nicely.

 Approaching him I smile " how do I look " he shakes his head then smiles. 

  " amazing, I mean you look beautiful " laughing I watch him bring forth his hand.

  " shall we go?" Nodding,  I stare at the exquisite carriage he brought.

" I thought this carriage is only meant for the royals?" 

 " yes, since today is special, I decided to bring it " he wink before opening the door for me " my lady?" Laughing I step in and so did he.

  " Which restaurant will you prefer" he stared at me and I had to tuck a hair behind my ear to hide my nervousness, he is close.

"Am not good at selecting restaurants and besides, I don't know anywhere in this kingdom" mumbling, he nodded. 

 " I figured so we will be going to the casa restaurant " 

 " isn't it too expensive " I mumble " I mean it's the biggest restaurant in this kingdom, and also humans like me are not meant to be there? It is highly reserved for the elite Werewolf and those who belong to the royals. Ordinary werewolves can't get in there let alone me, a maid at that. We shouldn't " 

  " milady" he smiles. "It's okay, my family own the restaurant so it isn't a big deal " 

 " you own it" 

" yes we do " 

      Lucian walks behind her as they step into the VIP section of the restaurant, food already placed on the table, with slow music coming from the background, the windows open and the door shut, leaving the both of us alone.

  "it's beautiful " she mumbles staring through the window.

" you can see the whole kingdom from up here " 

" it is beautiful " my gaze didn't move from her face and when she notice I was referring to her she blush which made her more beautiful " hungry? ".

  " starving ".

  Helping her sit down I pull out a chair and sit opposite her which guarantees me a good view of that lovely face.

  " aren't you hungry, you are not eating?" she asked while eating her food.

 " am not hungry "After placing my elbow on the table I rest my head on my palm " I will like to know what work you do, your job in Alexander's manor?" 

  " my job " she lifts her head and stares at me " am a maid, I work in em… I do most of the cleaning works there " 

" I see, I have heard how strict that man is, hoping he isn't laying a finger on you " 

  " no, he is a good man actually " 

  " really" 

  " yes " 

  Watching her eat I notice that she is really hungry but they is something seductive with the way she drinks that wine, it goes down her throat then she brings her tongue out to lick her lips

" can I kiss you " the words came out before I realize it.

 She looks shocked, faces flushed down to her neck

  " What??" She asked looking confused, I watch her lick those lips of hers again.

  " Can I kiss you?" Repeating my words I sit properly

  " I can't think of anything else since I saw you stepping down from the stairs this evening " standing up I move towards her direction and lean close, our face one inch apart.

   "I wish I first saw you before him, I would have made you mine long ago"

  " can I?" She said nothing, just kept staring at me so I took that as a yes but when I close the final space between us, she swiftly turns her head and my lips land on her cheek.

Maybe I was taking things too far and too soon.

  Turning my face to the window, I said to her;

    "How about you being my woman and not just some maid at Alexander's place?"

   " Also, your status as a maid will be removed?

    "What?

   " I will no longer be a servant?"

   "Yes"…
