There’s one thing I know for sure after living with a shifter pack for a few weeks. They have strange customs. Most of them I’ve gotten used to, but when Tanya informed me that once a month, during every full moon, the pack gathers around a bonfire and shifts into their wolf form, I thought she was kidding.
But, no. Here I sit with the pack as Shane lights the bonfire. All the elders are in attendance as well, except for Shane’s mother and father. No one has mentioned their absence, but I assume Catherine is taking care of her husband. The other day, I asked Shane what illness had come over his father, hoping I could brew a potion to help him. However, Shane merely brushed me off, saying the disease has no cure, even using magic. I didn’t ask any more questions after that.
I asked Tanya about the matter later, and she informed me that Shane’s mother had consulted many witches and other supernatural creatures to try and cure the sick Alpha with no success.
