The Alpha's Downfall

Among the approximately two million middle school students who took the exam, only the top 100 scorers of the entrance examination are offered a scholarship in the most prestigious school in the country, Chen Academy. One of the students who were offered a scholarship was Uriel Delavin, a seemingly narcissistic omega who grew up in the countryside and was showered with endless compliments from those around him. Breathtakingly beautiful and blessed with intellect, everybody in his hometown looks up to him and envies him. The reigning king of the school of the elites, Theodore Greene, is an arrogant alpha who grew up pampered and spoiled by his parents. Devilishly handsome, charismatic, smart, and filthy rich, there was no doubt that he was branded as the man who was at the top of their school. What will happen when these two people meet? With their incompatible personalities, how will their love story unfold? __________ "Where did it all go wrong?" That was the question I had inside my head for so long. Perhaps, I knew the answer all along but just chose to ignore it. You're my biggest mistake. You're my destruction. You're the only person who has ever led me to my downfall. You make me so vulnerable. Seeing how you ignore me as if we're perfect strangers finally made me realize my mistakes and opened my eyes to see the answer to my question. 'Where did it all go wrong?' I can now answer this question after pondering about it for the longest time. It all went wrong from the very first time I met you. It all went wrong from the very first time I laid my eyes on you. It all went wrong from the very first time I spoke to you. It all went wrong because... ... you're you. Because you're Uriel Delavin, my favorite mistake, my most beautiful destruction, and my sweetest downfall. ----- *R18* NOTE: This story contains sexual content and vulgar words that may not be appropriate for some readers. Chapter 14

"Huh? What do you mean, I can't? I've already packed my things, Tatiana Greene," Theodore said as his eyebrows furrowed. "You can't! I told you, you can't!" his sister yelled on the other line. "That's why I'm asking you why I can't come home," Theodore sighed and pursed his lips.

"B... Because..." There was a long silence during their phone call. Theodore was getting impatient from waiting for his sister's response. "Because, what?" He said as he lay on his bed.

"Grandpa is here... He said he'll wait for you here. You're gonna fight again..." Tatiana said after a few moments of silence. "What does the old man want from me now?" Theo asked as he stared at the ceiling. "The same as last time. He wants to find a mate for you as early as possible since it's difficult to find an omega suitable for you even in our social circle," she answered.

'Now... what should I do? Staying here would be better than getting pestered by the old man,' Theo thought as he let out a sign.

"Got it. Thanks," he said and ended the call right away without saying anything more.

He put his phone on the cabinet next to his bed and covered his face with his arm. Letting out a heavy sigh, the alpha felt his head throb.

'Seriously... I'm still fifteen and I still haven't even had my first rut yet. Why is he rushing me this much? I heard he never did something like this to Mom and my uncles,' he thought.

"Besides, how hard would it be to find an omega? There's literally one living next door," he scoffed.

When Theodore realized what he said. he sat up from bed and blankly looked at the wall in front of him.

"I must have lost my mind. There's no way that guy is an omega. That would be an insult to all the omegas out there. He's not even on the same level as Mom," he chuckled as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Theodore jumped out of bed and took a pair of sneakers from the shoe rack in his room. He then wore it and grab his phone and wallet. He figured that he can leave right away since he was already wearing

"I should go to the library to calm my mind," he mumbled to himself as he opened the door to his room.

As soon as he got out, he froze when he saw his cousin, Chesca, standing near his door.

"What are you doing here on a weekend? Do you have nothing else to do?" Theodore said as he raised a brow at her. "I'm not here for you, okay? I'm here for Yuri. You don't have to be so pissy," she frowned at him and rolled her eyes.

"I'm not being pissy. I was simply asking you why you're here," Theodore said with a blank look on his face. "Have fun, then," he said as he put his phone and wallet in his pockets.

The alpha started walking away with his hands in his pocket. Suddenly, he felt something heavy on his shoulders, making his footing unstable. Almost falling, Theodore strengthened his legs to avoid kissing the floor.

He turned his head with an irritated look on his face and glared at the person who jumped on his back.

"What are you doing?" he glared with a menacing aura. "Come with us. Let's hang out together," Chesca grinned as she tapped Theodore's shoulder with her hands that were still on top of them.

"Not gonna happen. Why would I even do that?" he sighed as he removed Chesca's hands from his shoulders.

"Why wouldn't you?" Chesca tilted her head a bit. "Don't answer my question with another question. I'm leaving, bye," Theodore said and continued walking.

"Such a killjoy," Chesca mumbled. "I heard from Tia. Don't you want me to help you out?" Chesca said as she stared at her cousin's back.

Theodore froze on his feet when he heard what Chesca said.

'Why did that kid tell her about it?' Theodore clenched his jaw, getting annoyed at his sister. 'Still... The old man... No, Grandpa dotes on Chesca. Maybe he'd listen to her. Favoritism at its finest, haaa...' he thought.

"I just have to go with you, right?" Theodore turned around and saw his cousin's grin. "You're smart, so you totally get me," Chesca grinned even wider.

"Where's that guy anyway? What's taking him so long?" Theodore asked and sighed. 'I wanted to go to the library to forget about the old man and that guy, but it seems like it was a mistake going out. I'm afraid I'd think about them more today,' he thought as he gave up on clearing his head.

"Oh, I haven't knocked yet," Chesca smiled awkwardly, realizing why Yuri never came out. "This idiot..." Theodore mumbled.

"Hey, you knock on the door. I'll go get Tori. I almost forgot about her. She said she wanted to come with us. Let's meet in the lobby downstairs," Chesca patted Theodore's shoulder and hurriedly ran towards the elevator.

"Hey, Chesca Lee!" Theodore yelled, not minding that other students were living in the other rooms. Chesca didn't even bother turning her head to look at him and just headed inside the elevator as soon as it opened.

The alpha groaned in frustration, regretting his decisions in life. 'Haaa... Why did I even agree with her? No, in the first place, why was I even born in this kind of family?

Theodore made his way to Yuri's doorstep and knocked on it without second thoughts. Yuri, who was still preparing inside, was startled to hear a knock on his door.

"Just a sec!" he yelled as he hurriedly wore his black cargo shorts. He then took the pair of sneakers that he got as a gift from his granny before leaving the province.

'I'm wearing this for the first time today,' Yuri thought as he smiled while tying his shoelaces. After wearing everything, he took his phone and wallet that was on his study table.

The money he had in his wallet was the allowance he received from the school for the first month. He hasn't spent it on anything yet, since he's never bought anything from the cafeteria nor has he bought anything from the vending machines.

He took a last look at the mirror and fixed his hair before deciding to head out. Yuri opened the door and the person who stood before him was someone whom he never expected to see standing by his doorstep.

Wearing a white hoodie underneath his denim jacket, a black pair of pants, and white sneakers, Theodore stood in front of him with a blank look on his face.

"Took you long enough. Let's go."
