Chapter 20: Bring Mommy Back.

Emma was delighted.

"Really? Then I want to give it a try,’’ she said happily.

"How about I take you to her in the afternoon?" Avery asked.

"Great!" Emma replied.

Emma's mood brightened.

After lunch, at about 2:30 p.m., Avery took Emma to her cousin's studio which was located in a bustling street at the city center. There was a huge glowing sign board outside and it looked like a very high-end setup.

After a while, an exquisite woman in her early thirties dressed in a suit came over. She was Avery's cousin, one of the senior makeup consultants in the studio. Avery immediately called out to her, "Sister."

"Avery,’’ Mia said and smiled.

"Sister, you told me two days ago that you were looking to recruit people. Have you recruited any yet? I brought my friend here for an interview,’’ Avery asked.

Mia looked appraisingly at Emma.

"You look very young. How old are you this year?" she asked.
