Chapter 25: Fated Mate Fallout

Azandra POV

Well, THIS felt familiar. Azandra was one hundred percent certain that her mother Titania might find the situation amusing in a way that she hadn’t when she heard the “fated mate” line about Kyon in a similarly tense situation. Titania also might claim that all the Crestas were a bad influence on Thessi.

Clustered behind Lord Glynthyra in the hall of Cresta House with Dane, Tulaska, Lilia, Jiro, Garnet, Cyran, and Naomi with Patch and Anneliese joining in (of course), Azandra could see how Dirge had somehow encouraged Thessi’s spontaneity. But the same princess that locked Kyon, Azandra, and Marcus in a silver cage to test their hearts was capable of blowing her cover to defend Cyran.

Both actions were born from principles. Wood elf principles, because that was who Thessi was. But in a strange way, it matched shifter morals too. She hated what one of her pack did, and was defending her family.

“Fated mate,” Drannor Glynthyra said slowly.
