Chapter 1Chapter One

Ciara's heart raced as she watched Fidel, the Lycan prince, from across the room. She had crushed on him for what felt like an eternity, but she knew it was a futile dream. Lycans and humans didn't mix, and Fidel was destined for greatness, not love with a lowly human maid like her.

"Fidel, my son, the time has come for you to take your rightful place as king," Vladimir, Fidel's father, said, his voice booming through the hall.

Ciara's eyes met Fidel's, and for a moment, she thought she saw a glimmer of sadness in his eyes. But it was quickly replaced by a mask of determination.

"I'm ready, Father," Fidel said, his voice firm.

As the night wore on, Ciara found herself alone in the guest room, her mind wandering to Fidel. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be with him, to feel his touch and his love.

Just then, the door burst open, and Fidel stumbled in, his eyes glassy and his movements unsteady.

"Ciara," he slurred, his voice husky. "I need you."

Ciara's heart skipped a beat as Fidel approached her, his eyes burning with desire. She knew she should resist, but her body seemed to have a mind of its own.

"Fidel, I...I don't know if this is a good idea," she stammered, trying to sound convincing.

But Fidel just laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, come on, Ciara. Just one night. That's all I ask."

And with that, he pounced, his lips crashing down on hers in a fierce kiss.

Ciara's resistance crumbled under Fidel's passionate kiss. She had dreamed of this moment for so long, and her body seemed to melt into his embrace.

As they stumbled towards the bed, Ciara's mind raced with warnings and doubts. But Fidel's touch silenced her inner voice, and she surrendered to the pleasure of the moment.

The night was a blur of passion and desire, their bodies entwined in a fierce and all-consuming love-making. Ciara felt like she was drowning in Fidel's eyes, her soul bound to his in a way she couldn't understand.

But when the dawn broke, Fidel's expression changed. His eyes narrowed, and his face hardened into a mask of disgust.

"What have I done?" he muttered, his voice laced with revulsion.

Ciara's heart sank as Fidel stumbled out of bed, his eyes avoiding hers. She knew she had been a mistake, a mere indulgence for the Lycan prince.

"You need to leave," Fidel growled, his voice cold. "Now."

Ciara's eyes pricked with tears as she scrambled out of bed, her body trembling with shame. She knew she had to get out of there before Fidel's rejection consumed her completely.

As she dressed and fled the room, Ciara couldn't help but wonder if she would ever find a love that accepted her for who she was – human and all.

Ciara's body ached as she ran through the forest, her tears blurring her vision. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Fidel, the man she loved, had taken her with a harshness that left her bloodied and bruised. The sheets had been stained with her blood, a painful reminder of Fidel's rough passion.

As she stumbled through the underbrush, she felt the sticky wetness between her legs, a painful reminder of Fidel's cruelty. She needed to clean herself, to wash away the shame and the hurt. She made her way to the river, her body trembling with each step.

As she reached the water's edge, she pulled up her dress and began to wash away the evidence of Fidel's harshness. The cool water soothe her torn flesh, but her mind was still reeling from the pain.

But as she scrubbed her skin, she felt a presence behind her. She turned to see a group of werewolves emerging from the trees, their eyes gleaming with malice.

Fidel, still in his chambers, suddenly felt a jolt of anxiety. He couldn't explain it, but he sensed Ciara was in danger. He threw on his clothes and rushed out of the room, following the tug in his chest.

As he burst through the trees, he saw Ciara surrounded by the werewolves. His heart raced with fury, and he charged towards them, his eyes blazing with anger.

"Leave her alone!" he growled, his voice low and menacing.

The werewolves snarled, but they backed off, their tails between their legs. Fidel turned to Ciara, his eyes softening.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice gentler than she had ever heard it before.

Ciara nodded, her tears still flowing. "Y-yes. I'm fine."

Fidel's eyes narrowed. "I'm sorry, Ciara. I was a fool to reject you. You deserve better than me."

Ciara's heart skipped a beat as Fidel's words hung in the air. Did he really mean what he said? Or was it just another ploy to get her into bed?

Fidel's eyes never left Ciara's face as he approached her. He could see the pain and fear in her eyes, and it tore at his heart. He knew he had caused her hurt, and he vowed to make it right.

"Ciara, I..." he started, his voice trailing off as he searched for the right words.

But Ciara didn't let him finish. She turned away from him, her body language screaming her rejection. Fidel felt a pang of regret and sorrow. He knew he had lost her trust, and he didn't blame her.

Just then, Philip, Fidel's beta, appeared at his side. "Fidel, what's going on?" he asked, his eyes scanning the scene before him.

Fidel shook his head. "It's a long story, Philip. But I need you to take Ciara to safety. Now."

Philip nodded, and together they escorted Ciara away from the river and back to the safety of the pack house. Fidel couldn't help but feel a sense of relief as they walked, knowing that Ciara was safe.

Fidel had entered his room now being bothered by what he had done. He knew the risks. He was madly attracted to a human. If word gets out, he'd be seen as weak. His father's name is at stake; as well as the fate of his pack.

There he made a decision. She has to go. He picked up the call phone and dialed Philip.

"He... hello Philip l, need your help"

The Fate Of The World Is In My Hands, But All I Want To Do Is Eat!

'Kill monsters, eat meat' 'I mean, Kill monsters, save lives. Got it.' 'Tut, I could've sworn that the first one sounded better.' She wasn't a girl looking for freedom or self-righteous liberation by a hero, or whatever shit a girl who suffered for almost all her life would crave. -the shit of a life she was living was horrible, but it was bearable, and so she got used to it. Rather, instead of freedom, what this little missy wanted was money. Lots and lots of them so she never has to worry about the next day. Money - bountiful enough that when she has to spend, she doesn't need to look back or calculate her assets to see how much she has left. Money - bountiful enough to get all the fried chicken she could ever dream of. Yeah, you heard it, fried chicken. For those who did not have money to spare leisurely, getting fried chicken was like a pipe dream to them and she had been one of those unfortunate souls. A comfortable roof above her head and no worries as to when she would get ordered around to steal. No worries about when she would get her next meal-- That was her liberation. And she got it. Just that, she got it most absurdly. Awakened! Those were the people ruling the world, alongside beastly and deadly monsters who threatened the safety of average human beings. And those awakened call the shots. Alice never dreamed she would one day be awakened, and compared to others with their game-like system displaying their attributes and strength; she had a full-grown man whom only she could hear, watching her back at every turn and telling her what to do. He was kinda a pain in the ass but she couldn't complain. It was this gift he had bestowed on her that made her the most powerful Awakened there was with stats that even S-class awakeneds couldn't compare to. She was the boss, now. Mwa-hahahahaha. But life didn't go as easy and leisurely as she planned. With great power comes great responsibility, right? Well, in her case with great power comes great hunger. She couldn't go a moment without getting hungry and her stomach had become a bottomless pit. And to get food, she needed money, and to get money, she had to hunt monsters. The monsters plagued humanity, causing catastrophes and taking lives mercilessly. Those monsters, as scary as they may be, were her target and she had to face them head-on. The bigger the monsters the more money she would gain. Yeah, that was the plan, but... This guy acting as her system seemed to have other plans, putting her at the forefront of 'justice' and having her clean the mess he somewhat created. 'Ugh, I can already sense a shadow of foreboding. Someone, please tell me I'm not acting the main character role. I just want to eat, okay?'
