CHAPTER 5

[JAKE POV]

Okkk… how am I going to do this I definitely don't know how I even want to fight thi monster without powers , so I did the next best thing. I RAN, ran like my life depended on it which it did but when have things always been easy.

So kids it turns out all the proud creatures of the world like tigers and karen mothers all have one thing in common, no and its not the fact that their all obvously proud creatures, no it's the fact that all of them get really offended when their prey runs, or in special cases like him they get REALLY MAD.

Sooo yh I'm running like crazy now cause me ditching him seemed to have hurt his pride so he's chasing me with the serious intent of maiming me, and do do you know how I know he's trying to seriously maim me?

Well if the flying trees and debris behind me wasn't a clue I'm pretty sure the unnerving amount of roar's was a dead give away.

*ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!*

Yh like that one, BUT THAT ONE SOUNDS A BIT TO CLOSE SO I'M GOING TO HAVE TO PICK UP THE PACE A BIT!!!

I take a look behind my back to look for the form of my hunter only to see he was about ten meters behind me obviously very pissed and very blood lusted and I OBVIOUSLY WILL NOT be having that.

I continue running through a path in the dense forest trying my absolute best to survive. Then all of a sudden HE I think? just stopped chasing me no that's a wrong way to word it noo…. its more like he's not chasing me from behind anymore, I took a quick peek behind me to confirm my suspicion and turns out I was right. HE JUST VANISHED, where is he?

SOMETHING THAT BIG DOESN'T JUST DISSAPPEAR INTO THIN AIR!!! ok that's the least of my problem's now, how am I going to leave this place without him ambushing me? Also what is up with my powers? Why aren't they working? Is it cause of this weird place? I mean Ooo is weird but I don't think it's ever been this weird no this is strange even for Ooo, lets just get to some safe place far from that beast.

So I just kept running and running and running and ok you get the gist, this process kept going on like that for a long time. Until I was suddenly slammed into something, no its more like I ran into something cause then next thing I felt was my face on the all to familiar wet and muddy ground.

THE HELL WAS THAT JUST NOW, its like theirs some kind of invisible wall…a magic spell perhaps?

I then lightly tap the invisible wall a bit before trying to push my hand through it and sure enough it wouldn't let me go through, no matter how hard I tried to force it,it wouldn't budge, I tried punching it only for the force of my punch to be reflected back to me and it hurt so much my glob it was really bad. I rested a bit on one strangely comfortable rock so that I could recover a from the pain.

It's a really strong magic barrier to be able to keep that bear in, oh right…..that guy*sigh* I'm very likely going to have to fight him , but where did he disappear to?WHY did he disappear? He just went missing?

He had this kind of floor boss feeling to him like in those old games Finn and I used to play with B.M.O ahhh…..good times, I Miss B.M.O.

OK Jake this isn't any time to be moping around about what to do and how to defeat that polar bear--monster or whatever I need to find Finn but to do that I need to beat that thing, but my powers are all a bit wacky now and literally not working and I don't know why its like that Its just so frustrating. I kicked a few leaves near my make shift rock seat out of frustration, OK maybe just MAYBE I can try to salvage this change, get a positive outlook out of it, I don't know I guess its kind of cool being a human now? Cause always said it was cool for some reason, despite the disadvantages it has. Maybe its just that natural feeling you get to be adventurous I think? And maybe the desire to be a better version of yourself? I thought looking around the forest…..nah I don't feel it, I think that's just how Finn naturally is about this stuff. I feel nothing comforting about being human, except I guess maybe my hearing is a lot less strained?

Ok let me try stretching the arm now, I grunted a bit trying to stretch my body like old times, you know just freely stretch, ok here…we…GO!!

I throw out my arm stretching trying to do my absolute best to stretch,come on come on!! the arm then only stretches a bit slightly and so unnoticeable if it wasn't for the fact I felt my hand stretch. But everyone's got to start from some where right?

No…..I don't have time to be comfortable with little to no progress I need to gain my powers back faster, A LOT FASTER. Try meditatitng like a monk, that sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure I want to do that but my body was already instinctively doing in for some reason. Despite this being my first time meditating in this body, it feels… natural to me and I don't know why….weird.

Look within myself…..try and understand what I really want to do…. what is it I really want to do…. I want to stretch…

"How do you want to stretch? Hm?"

I open my eyes to look around to see who said that only to open my eyes to a terrain that looks like it just had everything razed down.

"Who said that?"

I ask warily cause its really annoying and rude to not know where some one your talking to is talking from.

Out of nowhere some monkey pops up in my face up side down eating a…really large chicken thigh but the noticeable thing about the monkey was he had a curve shaped scar below his left eye.

"Amw Awnowyng mu?"

"What?"

I Said in obvious confusion cause obviously he's not going to make any sense talking from his mouth like that?

He raises his hand a bit like he's "saying give me a sec" , he the swallows the large chicken thigh, coming form me that's very impressive then he now gulps everything down but that backfires cause he's upside down and gravity clearly wasn't his fried in that situation cause the food he tried to gulp down just seemed to stay in his throat so he now had to upright himself at some point while I was waiting. After the short crisis of him almost choking on his lunch he then repeats what he was saying.

" I said am I annoying you?"

He asks with a cheeky grin.

How would I even respond to this.

" No cause we've not even know each other long enough for that"

"Oh yh… my name's!@#$%, nice to meet ya!"

I just gave him a deadpan look.

"I didn't quite catch that."

He grins even wider at me not being able to get his name for some reason.

"Don't worry about that we'll have enough time to learn my name later but for now follow me.. LEARNS HOW TO STRETCH!!"
