CHAPTER 11

[JAKE POV]

"So the thing is the previous owner of your current body was me."

Says Straw Hat with a tone of indifference while still chomping down on some of the sandwiches I made.

Stunned for a moment by the revelation and Straw Hat's nonchalance to the entire thing, many thoughts come across my mind at that moment like why? How? And Huh? But mostly How???

But looking at it now it does kind of make sense, me having more human features than dog ones, the wacky(wackier than normal) way my powers were acting.

"How is that even possible? "

but it seems I blurted some of those thoughts out by mistake, Straw Hat stops eating form a moment and adorns a serious expression on his face like he was about to tell me the secret to life( I already know its making good sandwiches).

Only for him to say..

" I don't know." Straw Hat says while shrugging.

THIS BLOODY IDIOT!

Ignoring his answer I ask him a different question one that's been in the back of my mind for a while now. 

"Did I take your body forcefully from you?"

Straw hat flinches a bit because of my question but it was barely noticeable, before he starts to shake a bit , it seems my fears were true, I must have taken his body by force bringing him along with it, from his home friends and family… I need to make things right. How come he isn't saying anything? 

"BWAHAHAHAHA. YOU SHOULD SEE THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE. YOU WERE ALL LIKE 'OH NO I'VE STOLEN THIS GUY'S LIFE FROM HIM, IM THE SHITTIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD'.

Says straw hat while laughing his ass off while rolling around on the floor.

"YOU LITTLE SHIT! AND HERE I WAS FEELING SORRY FOR YOU, HOW CAN YOU BE SO CALM ABOUT THIS!!"

 I ask him, my voiced laced with a bit of anger and worry and a hint of guit.

How can someone who pretty much just lost everything be so calm about this?!!

He stood up while laughing the signals me to give him a moment, after a few seconds he tries to catch his breath and when he's done. He answers my question with a grin on his face;

" There's no way YOU stole my body from me, you don't have the 

strength and will power to do that."

Says Straw Hat.

 the air seemed to still when he said that and the space around him seemed to grow heavy, as if some heavy weight had been thrown against my mind, a bit of black-redish lightning danced around the monkey's body, 

"Not yet at least."

He mutters under his breath.

He says casually before he goes back to eating a sandwich then he manifests a hammock out of thin air(why am I not surprised) to lay on. Before he continues the conversation, Straw Hat looked like he had an epiphany, how could I tell? Well he had this light bulb glowing brightly on top of his head.

But then he looks at me with a sheepish( probably did something that's going to piss me off no matter what) look then clears his throat.

"well the main reason why I'm not really to bothered about you body snatching my body is cause ....this….technically isn't my body….."

Every word coming out of his mouth just seems to piss me off even more, before I could respond to his comment he stops me.

" but its still kind of my body… but…. more like a double…"

A double?

Oh…

OHHHHHHHHHH...

"Are you saying I'm a clone of you!!!"

i say shocked by the revelation, but after that shock comes anger then disgust.

"I'm a clone of YOU,YOU of all people!!! GLOB NO, PLEASE,NO!!"

"OI I'M RIGHT HERE YOU KNOW!! HELL A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO LOOK LIKE ME!!"

Straw Hat responds with a bit of anger in his voice.

"the thing is your body, that is a copy of my human body was originally a soulless body to store the soul of some 800 year old arch enemy of mine built by some evil genius to fight me, by copying my moves and abilities and fighting style." 

"Wait did you say an 800 year old arch enemy???"

"Never mind that, the more experienced you have with controlling YOUR body and the powers that came with it the more likely you are to get back your peak and even surpassing it!"

says Straw Hat grinning while his lust for battle leaks out a bit probably thinking of how he can get a good fight from Jake achieving his full potential.

" is that so….." 

I respond blandly. Which dampens straw hats mood a a bit

"I've got two more questions, one how come your human and you can shape shift into animals, I thought your power's were more focused on stretching?"

" That's a secret your going to have to figure out for yourself~"

Straw Hat responds cheekily and vaguely.

Nothing's ever easy with you Straw Hat.

"For my final question what is this place exactly?"

I ask him as I look around the space, where at one instance there's a mountain in the next second its gone replaced with something entirely different. 

"I'm still figuring it out too… so in other words I don't know."

He responds with a goofy grin on his face probably proud of his response to my question.

I was about to respond to his comment before he interrupted me.

" welp its about time for you to wake up now."

What?

Before I could respond Straw Hat dashes towards me and punches me in the gut, which sends me flying across pace at light speed. 

"Oh and save your energy for your oncoming fight your going to need it!!"

Straw Hat's voice echo's in space

Next thing I knew woke up.
