Chapter 4: Unexpected Encounter

The lesson ended with no problems. Some students were muttering with each other most likely about the fight between Yamada and Yamashita. Yamada and Yamashita were just asked to stay back after school.

I walked out of the class, proceeding to my next lesson. The journey did require a lot of walking so after a few days I'll get used to it.

I then felt someone tap my back. My instincts told me to throw him onto the ground and pin him there until he loses oxygen but I resisted them.

I turned around to see Akito behind me but not Harumi.

"Where's Harumi?" I asked.

"She needed to do something." Akito replied.

I wondered how a girl such as Harumi would react after getting rejected but now I knew the truth there was nothing to wonder about. Her true feelings towards me were much different from what it was before but I wouldn't say that she has fallen for me.

I choose to not go for that path as it seems exhausting. Although it wouldn't phase me in the slightest to destroy relationships, whether they are mine or not, I wouldn't go through the trouble to make Harumi fall for me.

"Oh yeah did you hear?"

"Hear what?"

"A-"

Akito was interrupted by someone behind me.

"A famous model is coming to our school."

I turned to see who it was and to my surprise, it was a girl I'd never met. I've memorised every face and name of every person in this school yet I cannot recall this person's name or face.

The girl had long brown hair with two ribbons that followed the wind's direction. She also had deep blue. Her looks didn't seem to be average as they were enough to make any boy fall for her.

"Ryoko-san!" A girl called out as she came running towards us. "Sorry if she caused you guys any problems." With that, she and the girl left.

Then I remembered. Ryoko Sumiwara from Class 1-C. Her grades were above average. She is in at least the top ten in her class in intelligence.

"She took them out of my mouth. Yukima Toriyama is coming to our school in a few months."

"Who?"

Even with my vast amount of knowledge I never understood normal people my age's interests.

"Are you joking? She's a very famous model. She's known in over 80 countries."

"I guess that qualifies as famous." I said, sarcastically and in a monotone.

"Well I can't wait until she joins."

Akito was now in his world. A world completely created with his infinite imagination. A world where he and Yukima Toriyama are dating.

My disappointment was even greater than his boundless imagination. I then proceeded to walk toward my next lesson, Mathematics.

Truly an interesting subject. The very language of the code of our universe.

"Hey wait up!" A certainly loud voice called out.

I turned my head around to see Harumi running towards us.

"WAIT!"

"Oi Tadashi." I looked at Akito to see what he had to say. "Let's run."

"Sure." I agree without hesitation.

We both run the opposite way to where Harumi was. Akito was definitely a good runner but I was supposed to be slower than him so I adjusted my speed to at least half his.

Akito then realised my inability to run from the huffing and puffing. He then stopped at a building waiting for me. Harumi somehow caught up to me which wasn't as surprising considering how I looked like running; a few hundred meters sent my lungs depleted.

"You're so slow."

"I…haven't…ran…in…so…long." I said but struggled to get out.

"WHY DID YOU GUYS RUN?!"

"It was a joke Harumi."

"Well if it was only you then I wouldn't be able to catch up but now I see it, I'm actually disappointed in Tadashi-sama."

My athletic ability surpasses Akito and Harumi but they can't know that. I cannot be perfect in every way. Having some imperfections wouldn't increase the suspicions of the higher-ups in the school.

"I'm more of an academic person."

"You do know they're testing our athletic ability as well."

"Yeah but that's not going to affect my future in the business district."

"What if you get kidnapped?"

"Well that's unfortunate."

"So you accept your fate?"

"Yeah."

My perspective of life wasn't rare in this day and age. Most people just accept their fate when it comes to an end. Some would do anything to avoid death and some would do anything to see death. It's a natural thing in life.

Why can there be a start to life but not an end? Death is as normal as living. It happens every day yet when it comes around us we are affected. Such questions filled the minds of philosophers in the past and the present and later in the future.

I choose to live my life in peace without obstacles and if I see any potential obstacles, I'll just simply remove them. Peace comes with a price and I am willing to pay that price. It's all I've ever wanted.

"What a coincidence." Akito said, looking at the building we were under.

"Plot armor seems to be helping me." I thought.

The building we were under was none other than the building we were supposed to go to. The Mathematics District.

We entered the building to find many students. The hallway was bustling with students as if it was a market.

"How ordeal." I said to myself as I watched the students walking around the hallway and talking.

"Same as last time." Harumi said, frustrated from the previous time.

"Tadashi, don't get lost." Akito said as if talking to a child.

We tried to walk towards the elevators but the crowd was hard to get through. I thought of many ways that wouldn't draw too much attention to me but the results were exhausting. Too much energy would be needed and that phrase did not seem good to me.

We finally reached the elevators after barely surviving the crowd. I called the elevator and waited. Soon everyone was waiting for the elevators, rupturing the peace I initially wanted.

At this point, I didn't care for anything as long as there was silence but I stopped myself. I reminded myself of the infinite consequences that would happen if I did what I wanted with no self-control.

I controlled myself and endured the mental pain the immense amount of students gave. Although it was extremely affecting me it wasn't impossible to endure it. Something as small as this shouldn't affect me as much.

The elevator doors opened and as soon as they did, students entered the elevators. An ocean of students was poured into the elevators.

Fortunately, I was able to find space in the elevator but I didn't know if Harumi and Akito did. It would take an insane amount of concentration to find their breathing pattern amongst the dozens of students in the elevator.

It is possible to have this level of concentration however it takes an exorbitant amount of energy. For such a mere task why would I use such an amount of energy? There were some benefits but nothing that would majorly help me. Knowing where my friends were at this time didn't seem to be my top priority.

The elevator doors were opened, releasing the students. The students flowed out of the elevator and took me with them. I then found Harumi and Akito waiting for me outside the class we were headed to.

"Tadashi-sama!" Harumi called out as she tried to jump on me but failed as I dodged her flying body.

I could've easily knocked Harumi out because of the number of openings she gave. In a second, she could be attacked around thirteen times in the arm with the openings she gave. That is it was an enhanced human, not a normal human who lives with the physical abilities they were born with.

"You guys left me on my own again."

I didn't mind being alone on my own but acting normal and not raising any suspicions I should try to act as normal as I can.

"Not our fault." Akito said without hesitation.

"How comes you two are always somehow together then?"

I only just realised what words came out of my mouth. Those words could change the relationship between Harumi and Akito even by a little. This could cause the Butterfly Effect and slightly change their relationship which would then affect my whole future.

"DON'T MAKE IT SOUND WEIRD!" Akito yelled, embarrassed.

Harumi was also very embarrassed to the level where she couldn't even speak.

"My bad." I said which somehow calmed down the situation but the embarrassed expressions didn't leave their faces. "Something's changed now." I said to myself, realising the future consequences which will follow because of this.

No one spoke as we entered the classroom. This classroom had desks that fit three students on each one. Unlike the previous class which only had two-seater desks and one three-seater, this has three-seaters.

This was perfect for us but caused a lot of problems with the other students, especially Shimoda who wasn't as sociable as Yamada. Although Yamada did have a cold personality, he did socialise with the other students.

Shimoda only had her friend, Nakamoto Ryoko-who has been her friend since childhood-accompanying her. Considering her past it makes sense for Shimoda to be the introvert she is.

We sat in our seats and as we did a teacher entered the classroom. The teacher had a content expression on her face. She wore a white turtle-neck sweater with a black pencil skirt and black leggings. She seemed professional in every way but what stood out was her carefree smile.

The reason this stood out to me was that it seemed unnatural. Out of the many teachers in the school, it would only seem normal for at least one teacher to be like this but I didn't look at her appearance. What I tried to see was what was really inside her mind. What thoughts did she have?

I felt a slight affinity towards the teacher as we knew each other. She didn't try to conceal her aura.

Aura is what some believe to be the spiritual energy of a person. Some gifted people can see this aura. A person's aura portrays every thought of that person whether it is dark or light. It shows the person's personality and if you are skilled you can perceive the potential of a person. You can see the person's strengths and weaknesses with just a look.

I am one of those gifted people. I can see a person's aura and this teacher was no normal person. She was part of the gifted as well.
