Chapter 40 Don't Hurt Him

At the three booths, Michael held a glass of red wine, crossing his legs, holding Rosy, and accepting the toast from all his friends. He was all proud and arrogant.

Just now, because of the two bottles of Lafite, friends were all around Shelton, making him lose face. But now his friends were around him, praising him, fawning over him, and toasting to him. He finally turned the situation around.

"Everybody, drink as much as you want. I can't afford Lafite, but I promise you: with me here, no one can hurt you! I'll get rooms for you guys if you get drunk." Michael was bold and unrestrained, quite like a leader of the group.

"Mr. Jones, I don't care about Lafite. It's not as good as this XO."

"Yes, Mr. Jones. It's safer to drink your XO!"

"I don't want Lafite even if it's free. I'll drink your XO."

One after another, people were fawning over Michael.
