"First watch is over. Go relieve Monroe on the south wall. Keep your eyes open." Bellamy tells two rangers. He walks up next to me on top of the hilltop and we both observe 20 or so Skaikru chopping down trees. I had ordered them yesterday to begin this project and only today has the first tree come down.

"Anything?" Bellamy asked.

"They managed to cut down the first tree a few hours ago. They're working on two more right now." I informed him.

"Can't we work any faster? At this rate we won't have this cleared out even in a month's time."

"Unless you can find better axes to work with and somehow make these tree's thinner. Otherwise, we'll have to wait a month for it to be done." I told him.

The project I assigned to them is to clear out a 50 yard by 50-yard square plot of land. That way we can begin construction on proper buildings instead of relying on tents or the dropship.

"Didn't the grounders say they would send someone in a few days? It's already been 3!"

"They'll be here. All we have to do is wait for now. It's the same with this project, all we can do is wait. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will this."

"Well just in case the grounders do decide to go to war with us. Jasper thinks he can cook up some gunpowder, if he gets some sulfur, and Raven says she can turn that into landmines." Bellamy tells me.

"Good. Have them begin work on that, but also have Raven begin to craft bullets. The more bullets the merrier." I told him.

"Understood. Any word from the Ark?" He asked me.

"No. Raven, Clarke, and I have been consistently monitoring the radio for any signs of activity, all we've gotten is radio silence."

"Perhaps, they finally ran out of air?"

"No, they're up there. We just need to wait until they think of a way to come down here."

Bellamy shakes his head before turning back around and walking towards the gate. "Hey, Bellamy!"

His head swivels back around and he asks, "Yeah?"

"Also, tell Raven that I want her to build us some hand-held radios. That way we don't have to shout all the time and we will be able to communicate with Ranger's that either sent out to hunt or scout."

He nods his head in obedience; turns back around and walks into camp. I turn back around and look out into the dense forest wondering how long it will take for the Ark to get down to the ground.

Kane turns over and gasps for breath as the Ark's vents whirr's back to life. The lights constantly flicker all around him as he struggles to stand, and distant explosions can be heard.

Kane manages to stand but is forced to slouch against the wall for support.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" he asked while walking forward down the dark, light flickering hallway. "Hello?" he asked again.

'Where is everyone?' Kane wondered before walking down the hallway.

"You don't want the fire to be too big so maybe just try to knock it down with some wet leaves." I hear Octavia say while walking by the meat shack.

"You get that from your boyfriend, slut?" I heard a guy respond.

I stop and look over at the confrontation between some nameless idiot and Octavia.

"She's right. A hot fire is not gonna preserve the meat as well." Murphy says from behind him.

"You can't take the heat, get out of the smokehouse. You should be kissing our ass Murphy for letting you back into camp. Same with you slut, you think you're so special just because you warm our leader's bed and are Bellamy's sister. Keep working." he says to them.

"Hey, jackass!" I yelled out towards him.

"L-Leader!" he stutters while attempting to stand ram rod straight.

"What the fuck did you just say?" I asked him, getting in his face.

"N-Nothing, sir!" he says sweating.

I equip my Fury's song and bring it across his throat.

"You think you're better than everybody else?"

"N-No, sir!"

"Then what was that just now?"

"I w-was just telling them to get back to work, s-sir!"

"Really now? So, you're talking shit to a guy that has survived torture from both Werewolves and grounders, but also to my knight."

"H-He what! Wait your knight?! Sir, I d-didn't know-...guh" I cut him off my gut punching him causing him to crumble to the ground.

"Murphy!"

"Yeah?" he responds to me.

"Go get some wet leaves and pat down the fire. Also, where is Finn?" I asked, annoyed that Finn wasn't watching him.

"He said to stay with Octavia and that he had to go take a leak."

The man I just put on the ground attempts to stand up, but I quickly force him back down onto the ground and plant my foot on his head rubbing his face in the mud.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"D-DEL!"

"Okay, Del. Octavia is above everyone in this camp besides a select few. That is me, Bellamy, and Clarke. Also, what gave you the right to tell them what to do despite not knowing what to do yourself?" I ask him in a mocking tone.

"N-Nothing, sir!" he yells still beneath my boot.

I take my boot off his head and lean down to whisper in his ear.

"If you ever talk shit to your superior like that again. I will cut out your intestines and feed it to the pigs. Do you understand?" I asked.

"Y-Yes, sir. I promise." He whispers while beginning to cry.

"Good. Now get back to work!" I yelled at him.

I watch as he gets up, simply walks back into the meat shack, and asks Octavia about what he can do. Seeing Finn jogging back towards the shack causes me to begin walking away.

"You're in charge of the meat shack Octavia do your brother proud!" I yelled over my shoulder knowing that Bellamy had her assigned there because she deserted her post and wandered off into the woods late at night.

"Screw you!" she yelled back.

- The Ark -

- 3rd person -

"Anybody there? Hello?" Kane says walking down the dark hallways of the Ark.

Kane turns a corner and finds a pile of flashlights lying on the ground. He picks one up and turns it on. Kane then points the flashlight to a nearby wall, and there are a few more flashlights on the wall as well as a fireman's axe.

" ♩56 bottles of beer on the wall ♩56 bottles of beer ♩" Kane hears what sounds like singing further down the hall.

"Hello?" Kane asked.

" ♩Take one down pass it around ♩55 bottles of beer on the wall ♩55 bottles of beer ♩" Kane hears the singing get louder as he travels further and further down the hallway.

"Hello?" he asked again rounding another corner.

When Kane rounds the corner, he sees a man singing to himself on the floor. He quickly runs over to the man and kneels next to him. "Hey, hey, can you hear me?" Kane asked while touching the guy's cheek.

"Hey! W-What do you want?" the guy asked, waking up out of his stupor. "Councilor, sir?"

"It's Wick, isn't it, from engineering, Sinclair's apprentice?"

"Yeah, yeah. He had me come down here to override the containment codes to keep the doors open. Don't tell him I messed up." Wick says while pointing to his arm that is stuck between the doors.

"Hey... You didn't mess up. We need to get your arm free." Kane says while grabbing onto one of the doors and pulling.

"Yeah. Let's do that. That sounds like a good idea."

"Did you see anyone else around here?" Kane says after struggling to pull open the door.

"No. Heard there was a hull breach in engineering."

"It was a breach?" Kane asked, shocked.

Wick nods and asks, "What the hell happened, anyway?"

"We were betrayed. Councilor Sydney, she took the exodus ship by force. Damage to the Ark was catastrophic."

"What a bitch. You know my mom voted for her."

"I'm not gonna be able to open these doors without some help. I'll be right back." Kane says kneeling down.

"You can't leave me, man." Wick says desperately.

"I won't leave you here." Kane reassures him while getting up and walking away.

Kane walks back to the fireman's axe and pulls it off the wall. He walks back towards Wick and places the axe in between the doors like a wedge. He then angles it and forcibly pries the door open releasing its grip on Wick's arm.

"Aagh! Dude-... Aagh! Ah, my god, thank you. That was grea-... Aagh!" Wick groans as Kane helps him to his feet.

"Easy." Kane tells him.

"I can hear the pumps. I think the vents are working up ahead."

"Let's go. If you survived, there could be others." Kane says walking down a hallway with Wick.

"It's like a ghost ship." Wick says as they travel down further and further hallways.

*Cough! Cough!*

They here coughing up ahead and quickly move to investigate. They find a pile of a dozen or more people all outside a single door.

'What the fuck happened here?' Kane asked himself.

Kane and Wick quickly got to work opening an oxygen mask case that they had brought along with them just in case. They only had 6 so they had people take turns. Kane handed out the masks while Wick checked the air situation.

"Hey, how's the air in here?" Kane asked.

"Crappy."

"I'm gonna check the next few compartments." Kane says standing up.

"Whoa, hey, are you sure you want to do that? This ship took a lot of damage. You walk through the wrong door; you could be stepping out into space." Wick warns him.

"We need to keep moving. The air in here can turn bad at any time."

"Well at least we're breathing. The C02 scrubbers down here have kicked back on." Wick explains to him.

"They can restart themselves?" Kane asked.

"No. The electrical fires blew out a DCDU. Everything is on manual."

They both turn walk over to an active air vent and place their hand up against it.

"Is it getting cooler in here?" Kane asked.

"I don't feel it."

"Could someone restart the central cooling exchanges in this level?"

"No. That runs through the primary board."

"Earth monitoring." Kane says causing Wick to nod in agreement. "We need to get these people moving now."

"Move them where?" Wick asked.

"The cooling air is a message. See, I think there's someone alive in earth monitoring."

"The air is a message?"

"Yeah."

"Ok. You have Hypoxia, all right? So, you're working with about 10% of your brain."

"We need to get them moving now. I am not gonna let these people die here."

"Alright. Let's go to earth monitoring." Wick says moving to Kane and helping people up.

Following the flow of the air leads Kane, Wick and the rest of their group directly to earth monitoring.

"Rest in peace, earth monitoring." Wick says as they come up on the earth monitoring station door. Which is completely blocked with rubble and debris.

"Let's check passageway 4." Kane says.

"No. We got a jammed pressure door between us and pass. 4, and we can't get through here. It's game over, man!"

"I need to talk to whoever is in there!" Kane yells firmly.

" A 'Please' would be nice." Wick says walking over to an intercom that is impeded in the wall. "Watch this. Aha." he says activating it and pressing down the switch. "Earth monitoring, do you read?"

"... We read you. Who is this? Where are you?" They hear Chancellor Jaha say through the intercom.

Kane walks over and takes Wick's place. Pressing down the switch Kane said, "Sir, it's good to hear your voice."

"Of course, it's you, Kane. You're too stubborn to die."

"I could say the same for you."

"What is your situation?" Jaha asked with concern.

"We have about a dozen survivors." Kane informs him.

"That's good work, councilor. Sinclair is rerouting power and air to the mess hall. Lead your people there."

"After we get you."

"No. A fire burned through most of our oxygen. We put it out, but we don't have very long. All access is blocked. We are reviving as many Ark citizens as we can before our oxygen runs out." Jaha says struggling to finish his words.

"I won't leave you to die."

"As your chancellor, I am ordering you to gather as many survivors as you can and lead them to the mess hall. Jaha out." He says cutting off the intercom and taking a seat out of breath.

Kane looks at Wick and the rest of the survivors. "Lead them to the mess hall, and when you get there, organize a search station by station. Look for survivors."

Kane turns around and begins to pull on the rubble and debris to clear the door, but it won't budge.

"Hey, the chancellor is right. We all got to get out of here. This whole deck is an electrical fire waiting to happen." Wick tells him.

"That's why you need to lead these people out of here... Please."

"So, what, you've got to save everybody but yourself? This is nuts."

"... No one else can die because of me." he tells Wick solemnly. " Go. Go. Get yourselves to safety." Kane tells them before trying again to lift the rubble and debris.

After a few tries with the debris not budging. Wick walks over and grabs onto the rubble and debris too and begins to pull right alongside Kane. Soon the rest of the survivors walk over and help as well.

Kane looks over towards them and smiles in gratitude. "On 3. 1, 2, 3."

*AAGH!*
