The 100 : The duty of a leader

(Slow Pace) When he died, Leon wouldn't have imagined that he would have a second chance. A new world, a new life, stripped of memories of the past ,remembering only what he loved and nothing more, armed with nothing other than his guts and body , how will Leon survive in this world torn by nuclear war and ruled by primitive civilizations ? Note : I don't own The 100 or any other characters that may resemble in any kind of way any characters form various shows and games. If I were to say that I own something, that would be my idea of changing a world, but that's what fanfiction is ain't it?

Chapter 61 - The Reaper

Back inside Mount Weather, the situation was quickly getting out of control, especially after the guards took one of the kids and never brought her back. At first, the guards tried to use persuasion to take some volunteers away, but thanks to Miller, Wells, Sergey, and Monty's presence, their plans failed to some extent.

Unfortunately, for the four of them, Mt. Weather had a brainwashed idiot amongst the delinquents and due to Jasper's presence, some of the kids start to believe that what they were doing was a good thing.

When they start "asking for volunteers", Jasper informed them about who would be willing to go with them. Because of that, Fox was the first one to be taken away by them, then Monty and Harper, followed by Wells, but when they took Sergey, the madman broke out, killing two guards and one of the doctors, before he released Monty, Harper, and Wells and brought them back to the barrack's room where the rest of the kids where being kept.

As soon as they run into the room, Sergey and Miller barricaded the door behind them while the rest of the kids didn't understand what just happened. Jasper being an idiot, walked in front of Wells and Monty to face them.

"What's wrong with you? Why did block the door?"

Before Jasper could react, Wells sucker punch him in the stomach forcing the brainwashed idiot onto his knees. After what they had seen and almost got through, no one had the nerve or time to entertain this idiot, who only believes what Mt. Weather whisper to him.

Wells quickly turned towards the now scared kids and spoke the truth about this place.

"We have our motives to act like this, and even though I know that most of you hate me, courtesy of my father's line of work, I want to tell you the truth about this place. Our friend, Fox…was brutally cut open by these people. They used her as a living donor for their sick desire to return to the surface. These people don't want volunteers. They want subjects that they can squeeze of all of our bone marrow."

For a few minutes, no one said anything, not even Jasper who couldn't believe the nonsense he had just heard, but albeit his internal protest, there was still a small part of him that believed Wells, especially when he saw the way Harper and Monty looked, both bloodied and tired beyond normal. However, he still refuses to admit the horrors these "good" people were doing in the name of getting back on the surface.

"What's wrong with their desire? They deserve to walk under the sun, just like we deserve a better life!"

"Don't you see how they brainwashed you with their ideas? Until we were forced here, no one amongst us wanted to live as we did on the Ark, but now when this paradise was shattered by the truth, you'll rather believe that girl than your friends?"

After Monty yelled at Jasper, no one bothered with him anymore, instead, they dispersed around the room, searching for anything that could be used as weapons for the incoming assault.

Miller and Sergey alongside two other boys took one of the pipes and broke it, thus procuring a long piece of metal. Moreover, while it was definitely a heavy thing to be used as a weapon, other than Sergey, only Leon may regard this long pipe as a weapon.

By the time, everyone had a makeshift weapon or even forks and butter knives, the guards had already secured the corridors near the barracks where their guests were currently hiding.

Instead of simply rushing inside right now, the guards decide to use the same sleeping gas that they used when they captured the kids in the first place. What followed next was a bloodbath for the guards…

Meanwhile, in the room where the acid fog was kept and produced, Bellamy was having the hardest time of his life trying to figure out what went wrong with Rave's plan.

"Why isn't the gas neutralized?"

"I don't know Bellamy. You did everything correctly and yet… Shit! They are listening to us since the beginning!"

As soon as Bellamy heard Raven's words, he quickly changed the frequency hoping that now Mt. Weather won't be able to learn the plans, but that didn't change anything. Moreover, it made the situation even worse than it was already. Now, not only would they need to neutralize the fog but also save their friends alongside the grounders that are still being kept prisoners inside the mountain.

"Bellamy, can you hear me?"

"Yes, Raven, do you have any alternative solution?"

"You have to blow the whole room. That's our only chance, otherwise, Clarke and the whole army would be killed when they release the fog."

"Raven… Tell Octavia that I love her and that I'm sorry for everything I've done wrong to her."

Before Raven could say anything, Bellamy took the battery out of the radio and quickly went to plan the explosives around the room. As Bellamy was about to plant the last explosive near the pipe that led directly to the reservoir, the door that led inside the room where the fog was stored, was blown open by the guards. At this point, Bellamy could only retaliate with his gun and as soon as the first soldier walked into the room, he opened fire, easily taking out one of the soldiers, but sadly for him, as soon as one of their friends died, the rest of the soldiers unleashed hell upon him.

Every time he killed one of them, another soldier took his place. By the time Bellamy killed the fourth soldier, he remained without any ammo left for his rifle, thus forcing him to use his sidearm, but before he could blind fire again, one of the leading soldiers shouted something that made Bellamy rethink his plan.

"Bring the reaper! Let him take care of the intruder!"

The two sides didn't fire at each other for a few minutes until another group of soldiers brought a person clad in some kind of armor. The moment Bellamy saw who the soldiers just brought, he froze in his spot, not knowing how to react at the sight of my new life as a reaper.

"Go on, kill the intruder."

Rather than moving like an obedient little slave, the reaper just stared at the soldier, as if he didn't matter to the reaper. Seeing that their reaper didn't listen to their orders, one of the soldiers tried to push me, only for me to break my little charade. I'm sure that my sudden change would make everyone who "worked on my body" cry in anger and despair, since not only did their little experiment fail, but at the same time, they now have a monster in their bunker.

Unfortunately for the two soldiers that brought me into the room, they won't live to see how we won this fight. I grabbed the one that tried to push and bashed his head on the cold metal stair while with my other arm, I grabbed the leg of the other soldier "gently" helping him kiss the floor. Before the man could comprehend what just happened, I use his knife and stabbed him in the neck, before quickly grabbing the gun that he dropped.

While not all of the soldiers that were stair aimed their guns at me, it did ease the pressure that was on my friend, and because of that, Bellamy managed to shoot two soldiers just in time for me to take cover behind a pipe. Now, I don't know if these idiots would shoot the pipe that keeps the bunker safe, but then again they stormed this room armed with automatic guns so maybe their leader did go mad after all.

Only five soldiers were left alive, but even though they had the numbers, these people were caught in the middle of a room, sandwiched between a brother that wants to see his sister and an ex-reaper that wants to free his friends from this place. The armor that they gave could withstand some amount of small arms, but my internal organs would definitely be damaged from the shock. Thankfully these guns were using SMGs and not assault rifles, otherwise, even if I had two sets of armor on my body, they couldn't have torn through it as if it was made of paper.

"Surrender yourselves or else you five will die in vain!"

For the first minute, no one said anything, but after a few more seconds, the first gun was dropped then the second, and so on. In the end, all five of them decided to live rather than die, especially after they saw how brutal I could be in close quarters.

Bellamy and I quickly tied the hands of the men, before we brought them out of the room.

"How are we going to take off that fog?"

"Blow the room up, but we have a problem…"

"Let me guess, our Tinky didn't give you a remote for the explosives?"

Bellamy nodded at me before he remembered that these guys should have grenades in their armory.

"Where's the armory?"

"We don't have time, Bellamy, give me the last bomb before Clarke and the army gets wiped out."

"Are you crazy? I won't let you die ."

"Who said anything about dying? I'm just planting the bomb on the wall then shooting at it ."

I didn't give him any time to argue before I walked into the room, leaving Bellamy together with the five guys that we just captured.
