The 100 : The duty of a leader

(Slow Pace) When he died, Leon wouldn't have imagined that he would have a second chance. A new world, a new life, stripped of memories of the past ,remembering only what he loved and nothing more, armed with nothing other than his guts and body , how will Leon survive in this world torn by nuclear war and ruled by primitive civilizations ? Note : I don't own The 100 or any other characters that may resemble in any kind of way any characters form various shows and games. If I were to say that I own something, that would be my idea of changing a world, but that's what fanfiction is ain't it?

Chapter 143 - A clear message

When Bellamy asked for my help. I wouldn't have thought that this idiot would get into the city to stop Echo from all of the people then again, the older Blake wasn't exactly the definition of a smart guy. Despite that, Bellamy dragged me into the city after the spy and when we found her…let's just say that it wasn't exactly the nicest way of meeting one of the participants.

We slowly climb up the stairs, hoping that our footsteps won't be heard by the spy, and when we reached the door where she was "sniping" from, I used our hand signals, telling him that I will enter first while he covers me. As soon as he saw the signals, he nods his head in my direction before fighting his grip on his pistol. I counted to three before kicking the door open, when suddenly, an arrow flew towards my chest. Sadly for Echo, I grabbed her arrow just in time before sending it right above her head.

Not even a second after the spy froze in fear, Bellamy runs forward and tackles her to the ground fighting with her until we all heard the voice of a certain prince.

"I should've known you two couldn't stay away. I heard you all the way down the street, you're lucky I wasn't a scout. Though I'm surprised you are also here Leon."

"Leon and I came to stop Echo."

"You as well, Leon? I don't believe you, out of all of your side, would care all that much about this fight."

"But I don't care. Thought this idiot dragged me out here, hoping to stop your spy before she kills Octavia. Now that I remember, why is she here?"

Hearing my question, Roan remembered that Echo was still on the floor under Bellamy. Without giving her any time to lie, the prince looked at her, waiting for an answer.

"Explain yourself."

"I was only trying to help you save our people."

"I am not my mother. I'm not willing to cast aside honor for power. Even more so to use such dishonorable tactics to win this enclave!"

"No one has to know."

"You misunderstand my words. I will not allow your dishonor to give Luna an advantage in this deathmatch, and you will not shame our clan ever again from today onwards. You are Azgeda no more."

Even I was surprised to hear Roan banish Echo just like that, especially now that the end of the world is almost breathing on our backs.

"Sire, wait."

"You're banished, Echo, and when I win this conclave, make no mistake, there will be no place for you inside that bunker. Now get out of my sight, and off this battlefield without being seen, or knowing that you are the cause of the death of our people."

Echo swallowed hard, fighting back her tears, before turning and leaving the room, sneaking out and off the battlefield, despite having nowhere else to go. Once she left, Bellamy and I remained alone with Roan, the prince tried to raise his sword, only to feel the cold muzzle of my pistol resting on his lower head, almost anticipating the prince to make a wrong move.

"It is necessary for you to do this?"

"As if you would have done it if you were in my place."

Rather than arguing with me, the prince turned towards Bellamy.

"I take it by your presence here that your sister's still alive."

"That's right."

"If I call for a scout, she'll be executed right now. However, what fun would that be? Besides, I doubt I'll make it out alive if I were to do that, no Leon? "

I only smiled in response, meanwhile as soon as he saw me smiling Roan turns once more toward Bellamy.

"You really think your sister can win, don't you?"

"I wouldn't count her out if I were you. She's survived harder things than this. Not to mention that she also trained with Leon before she trained with the Trikru."

"Before she dies, I'll tell her she's lucky to have you as a brother and Leon as a teacher."

"I got a better idea. After she guts you and before you die, you tell her I was the lucky one."

Roan smirks at him before he leaves the room. A few seconds after he lefts, Bellamy and I quickly make our way out of the city, sticking to the shadows and avoiding all of the scouts, until we reach the tower.

When we reached the safe area, Clarke and Kane were anxiously looking down, fearing that the night would claim Octavia's life, but as soon as both of them saw us, their fear vanished. Despite not knowing where we had been, Clarke had her suspicions about our whereabouts, though our princess choose to keep those dangerous thoughts to herself.

"I swear to god, you two will one day make me worry to death."

"C'mon princess it wasn't all that bad was it?"

"No Leon it was worse than that! Do you think that whatever you two did was the right thing to do?"

"Depends on who you ask, Clarke. Thought I can definitely tell you that no one would cheat, whether intentionally or not."

As Clarke and I were arguing, Jaha contacted Kane over the radio.

[Marcus, we have a problem. Some grounders are trying to enter the bunker forcefully. I locked the entrance, but at this rate, no one would get inside if those guys aren't taken care of.]

At this point, I don't care anymore. I'm not going to bother with the aftermath. Before Kane could say anything, I grabbed the shotgun I left with him and left for the bunker entrance. The least I could do for whoever wins is to make sure that their clan would survive the praimfaya.

Four hours later, Octavia came as one of the two survivors of the whole Enclave, and as the sole winner of their fight, shocking everyone, our side included. Sadly, for her, that only lasted until Gaia Octavia and the rest of the people reached the entrance of the bunker.

For many of them, the sight of what happened there would haunt them forever, but for some that was a clear message from the First Osleya of the Skykru: Fuck around and find out.
