Fighting the Monsters [3]

Both of the heavenly monsters rushed ferociously, heading in my direction. I was literally out of breath, and yet I stood my ground, aiming my gun at them while wishing that the newly created skill would be able to turn the tables around.

Just as I imagined a bullet condensed with compressed water element, the gun in my hands glowed and somewhat shined, and without wasting any more thoughts, I fired.

The bullets that came out of my gun were as bright as the ocean, heading their way towards the monsters in front of me.

The heavenly monsters did not attempt to dodge it, showing outstanding confidence and trust in their abnormal defenses, which pushed them to ignore my bullets that were on their way.

Just as the bullets reached them and struck them, they penetrated through their bodies like paper.

I was completely shocked by the outcome, staring from afar while aiming my gun at them.

The snake's body that completely bounced off my bullets before was pierced by my new magical bullets, which made such gruesome holes in every part of their bodies that got hit by the bullets.

The large snake known as the viper began twirling, knowing for a fact that it felt immeasurable pain just by looking at it. While the large bear, known as the burn grizzly, started growling and fell on its knees.

Without wasting any second, I continuously fired at both of them in a rapid state, and with a motionless reload, I shot them to their deaths after firing for more than 4 rounds.

[Notice: The Burn Grizzly and Viper have been successfully eliminated.]

[172,601 Experience points have been earned.]

"Woah, the experience points are too low compared to the horned rabbit I fought first."

As the notification rapidly popped out in front of me, that's when I began feeling something nauseating.

[Warning: Overusing mana energy can end you.]

[Suggesting to refrain the host from overusing mana energy.]

What is the system talking about? I'm sure that I had over 1,000 mana energy." I mumbled in my head before suddenly fainting.

And by the time I woke up, it was already as bright as the afternoon back in my old world.

I can't yet grasp how many hours this world revolves around and what day it's currently on. But if I get to meet some people who are willing to tell me, unlike that red-scaled dragon who doesn't even explain anything, First things first: Now that I've beaten the heavenly monsters, I must scrape something to eat.

In the past few days, I've been eating unknown fruits that the island trees bore; they were quite delicious. They tasted more like cooked meat than fruits, to be honest.

"So now that I feel hungry, I should grab some fruits. But..."

I totally forgot; the place around me had turned into a mess since the fight with the viper turned chaotic, which ruined the surroundings.

Then I saw the two bodies of the heavenly monsters lying on the ground, lifeless. It was still big and a bit bewitching for me to get closer. But the burn grizzly that had its body covered in flames is now gone.

"It looks like a skinless bear right now." I mumbled, staring at its state, which somehow looked like a furless Aspin dog breed that had eaten seafood.

I remembered that I leveled up quite a lot from these two even when the experience points were nowhere near as huge as the horned rabbit; now I should check my status.

"Status."

"I'm now level 498, but wait... Why is my Mana Energy low? I remembered that It was over 1,000 before."

[Notice: The Creation of the Skill "Magical Bullet" has permanently consumed 1,500 Mana Energy.]

"Oh, Permanently? So that's why my Mana Energy became low again? And after using the magical bullet a lot of times, I ran out of mana energy and fainted?" I said, trying to communicate with the system that had just informed me about why my Mana Energy became low.

But contrary to my expectations, It did not respond to my questions.

"Really? You're not going to talk to me?"

Silence occurred, but still, there was no response from the system.

"Fuck this, I'm just going to go and find some fruits to eat." I uttered in an annoyed tone and began walking, heading straight to the upper levels of the island, which had three layers. I was hoping that there would be no monsters to encounter, so I began climbing on the cliffs and found some trees that bore fruit.

Without wasting much time, I began groping them one after another and began eating leisurely.

And so I continued my journey, traveling from island to island. Fighting off different types of heavenly monsters, but with the help of analysis and my magical bullet, It ended in no time.

With the help of Analysis, I can ascertain the enemies traits, knowing which type of element should be effective against them. And with the help of my Magical bullets that can be produced through thought and imagination, I can adjust and make elemental bullets that will deal high damage to the enemies, killing them in no time.

Time passed, and it was already the sixth day of my travels. I think? Well, ignoring the fact that I had fainted after overusing my magical bullets, I didn't know how many days I'd spent unconscious, so I deduced it and focused on counting the days that I had been present and conscious.

And after traveling for some time, I finally reached the seventh island, which was a lot bigger than the previous islands I'd been to.

As I stood on its cliff near the chained rocks that connected it with the previous island, It somehow felt ominous and beautiful at the same time.

It was filled with trees that bore different types of unique fruits. While the bushes were trimmed properly as if someone took care of them, it was just my hypothesis since I knew that there was no benevolent being living on these dangerous islands.

I continued traveling once again and did not waste any seconds, then I smelled something unpleasant. Without thinking much, I sniffed around the area. But I could not find the source of the foul smell, and then I realized that it was none other than me.

"No hell, this stench is so strong that I might pass out. I need to find a pond or something and take a quick dip."

I began running, looking around at the area, searching for a river or pond—anything with water involved would do. I just needed to wash myself and remove this unbearable stench.

Then, after thirty minutes of searching, I found a pond lying near a cave. I began taking off my clothes and jumped into the water.

"Woooh! That felt good." I said while waving my head, sweeping away the water, and wiping my face.

Then I realized that the pond beneath was somewhat dark. I slowly dipped my head into the water and slowly opened my eyes, but the sight I expected was so scary that I ended up jumping back out of the water with my life on the line.

Just as I ran and grabbed my worn-out clothes that had a foul smell, the pond burst as a huge, standing crocodile-like creature came out of it.

It had dark green scales, showing how hard it is, while its face had three horns on its forehead and spiky horns stuck at its back up to its tail.

It gazed towards me as its silhouette covered me from the sunlight.

Without uttering a single word, the system began analyzing its existence.

[Monster Type: Horned Crocodile]

[Level: 900]

[Rank: A]

[Monster Trait: Immune to water magic and able to produce iron spikes from its body that are condensed in a deadly poison.]

As its body began straightening its posture, It was sure tall as hell; its body size was two times larger than that of a horned rabbit.

Its eyes were locked on me, staring at me like I was some sort of treat in its eyes.

"Fuck, I'm screwed again. Kidding!" I spouted, grinning after mumbling something cringeworthy, and began aiming my gun at the horned crocodile that stood beyond me.

"Now let's see what element would hurt you, Keke!"

Chapter End.
