Confrontation

Teranium's gaze enshrouded my body with fear, along with his overwhelming aura that pressurized my existence.

"Tell me, how did you get here?" He asked in a terrifying manner, intimidating me with his deep voice reverberating inside my head.

This is telepathy, yet it feels as if we're talking closely." I thought, looking down on the ground while enduring the pressurizing aura he had released.

And just as I was about to speak up, a loud roar echoed throughout the sky.

"Teranium!"

This voice, even from afar, I could hear clearly inside my head.

"Get yourself here this instant and face me!" Greyskim angrily yelled, calling out for Teranium, who stood before me.

Just then, the pressurizing aura that pressed me down suddenly disappeared. I raised my head and noticed that Teranium was staring at the sky.

I stared at the sky intently and noticed Greyskim flying steadily while his entire body was somewhat covered in golden liquid.

Teranium took one last glance at me before flying over to the sky and heading his way to Greyskim.

I gulped and felt relieved at the same time. Looking at the situation, I'm sure that the black-scaled dragon would leave me be.

The two Obsidian Dragons confronted each other in the sky, while the wyverns that followed Teranium surrounded them.

"How dare you try to attack my domain!" said Greyskim in an awfully angry manner.

"I had already warned you before, but this is his majesty's orders." Teranium replied, stating that he was just ordered by his majesty.

"I will not tolerate any of your rude behaviors in my own territory! Leave before I obliterate you and your filthy followers!" Greyskim said, giving Teranium a second chance to think about it.

But in spite of what Greyskim said, Teranium's decision was already sorted, starting from the beginning when he came to the floating islands.

Silence occurred, and Greyskim exhaled.

"Then so be it." he said, and he began inhaling as his mouth started glowing.

The wyverns began dispersing and did the same thing that Greyskim was doing while Teranium was still in his spot, confidently staring at the angry Greyskim who was about to do something.

My eyes could not believe what happened next. It was so astonishing yet so horrifying to watch that it even fazed me just by watching them from afar.

Greyskim released a large amount of compressed energy out of his mouth, completely eradicating the wyverns that were positioned above Teranium, while the other wyverns that didn't get hit started shooting smaller energy beams towards Greyskim.

It was awfully bright, as If I'd witnessed several flashbang grenades exploding at the same time.

The wyverns that got struck by Greyskim soon turned to ashes, leaving no trace, while Greyskim, who got struck by the wyvern's energy beams, was still left unscathed.

"Haha, a wyvern's solar blast can't even scratch off an Obsidian Dragon's body. It's saddening, but I have to step in."

Just then, a purple-scaled dragon appeared from behind and struck Greyskim unknowingly with his Dragon blast.

Greyskim, whose attention was on Teranium, didn't manage to evade and got directly hit in the back. Forcing him to fall upon collision and land on one of the islands below him.

It was a sight to behold; another Obsidian Dragon appeared out of nowhere, while Greyskim, who was all alone, had to deal with the two of them along with extras such as the wyverns.

I wanted to help somehow, but the fact that I'm nowhere near their level made me think about it again.

After analyzing their existence, I became sure that fighting them would result in my early death in this new world.

If I were to try and attempt to shoot at one of them, I'd instantly die with just a stomp from their huge boulder-like feet.

Even the wyverns were built differently.

[Monster Type: Wyvern]

[Rank: SSS]

[Level: 2,500]

[Monster Trait: Intelligent and Powerful]

Just seeing their traits makes me think that they're still out of my league. And so I quietly stood my ground on the eighth Island and watched them from afar.

Greyskim, who regained his composure instantly, flew back up and used his Dragon blast towards Ragnathor, the purple-scaled dragon.

But Ragnathor avoided it without precautions and flicked his hand while several magical circle arrays formed above him and released several sword-like-shaped energies that went towards Greyskim.

The wyverns surrounding them continued on using the solar blast and aimed it all towards Greyskim, whose attention was on Ragnathor.

Meanwhile, Teranium was still watching and did nothing of the sort to hinder Greyskim's efforts to fight Ragnathor and the wyverns.

"How are you here!? I'm sure I killed you back then!" Greyskim said, confused as to why Ragnathor was still alive.

"Haha! Do you think I'd die from your combustion magic that is only designed for entertainment? Honestly, It was all an act to get you riled up. There's no way I, the second-ranking Obsidian Dragon, would get killed by a lower-ranking Obsidian Dragon that easily. Hahaha!" Ragnathor said, mocking Greyskim's strength.

Seeing that Greyskim was completely covered in golden liquid, I presumed that it was his blood—the blood of a dragon.

[Correct: That is the Blood of the Dragon. You will need to drink a certain amount of it in order to pass through the border barrier.]

"Eh? Did the system just talk to me?" I muttered, but it did not reply anymore, and I was still baffled by what was going on, so I ended up ignoring the system after it informed me that I needed to drink Greyskim's golden blood.

Their battle continued, and Greyskim got struck multiple times from behind and upfront while he somehow managed to hit Ragnathor and eliminate some of the Wyverns with his overwhelming combustion magic that exploded like a nuclear bomb.

But contrary to what was happening, Teranium still overlooked everything, despite his men slowly depleting in numbers.

After several hours of watching, the sky turned orange as it was nearing sunset. Ragnathor was somehow covered in Golden liquid after taking shots from Greyskim. But Greyskim was in an extremely difficult situation. He'd been breathing heavily and was still losing more blood as the battle went on.

And even if he manages to kill that purple-scaled dragon, Teranium is still there and ready to fight him anytime, while some wyverns are still alive and fighting him. It'll be bad for Greyskim." I pondered, watching their fight from afar.

I felt sad for Greyskim and felt nothing at the same time. It was a mixture of emotions flowing inside me—was our time together really that subliminal for me to feel sad for him?" I wondered, yet I didn't want to step in and fight alongside Greyskim since I knew my limitations.

Once I voice it out and step in, I'll surely meet death in an instant. But still, watching the one who tried to help me get off this place get beaten to death wasn't that pleasant. Is watching him die all I can do?" My mind was in a state of conflict, while I knew the fact that I'm still weak even to those wyverns.

Magical bullets won't be able to inflict any damage to those thick scales of theirs, and I was sure about that. Since the level gap is too high, and obviously they are Primordial dragons. So I should just wait until one of them falls." Is what I thought, but after the notification popped out in front of me,

"I suddenly changed my mind."
