CHAPTER-4

I woke up at 8:30 am and I didn't feel like going back to work so I called my boss and asked for a leave from work since I never usually take a leave, she accepted pretty quickly. she is a kind lady.

by the time I finished doing chores and finishing my household jobs, a slight knock came on the door. it was Leah and john "Heyy," they both said take took chance for hugging me, they both are my closest friend and not to mention olive, but she has shifted to new Zealand for job purposes.

"I thought you were at a job, but we heard loud music and we knew right away you would be here," John said making me smile, I had a habit of playing music while doing things like loud music.

"maybe you should decrease the sound cuz there are hooman beans beside your apartment too," Leah says with sarcasm in her voice.

I brought two cups of cold orange juice and while they are sipping on it I say about the two weirdish mysterious nights. but they just shrugged it off saying it might be some coincidence or some random jerks trying to play a prank on me, but I didn't believe any one of them. It's been a couple of minutes and each one of us is on our electronic devices, my fingers move to the messages which the unknown number that texted me.

'hey, may I know who this is that was my first question? the answer came almost immediately as if that person was waiting for me for a long time.

'Finally, you decide to text back, Alex' he replies

'I'm Ava' I reply ignoring his feedback about me not texting

'I know that's all he said before going offline.

ON THE OTHER HAND,

I smile at the text from ava, ava Ortiz.

"sir you may come down, your father is calling you" my assistant came to inform me. I went downstairs to see my parents smiling at each other and when they saw their smiles grow bigger, couldn't imagine getting a better parent than them.

"Hi mum, hi dad"

"hi dear," they both say in unison

"son, we have an important meeting in a different country. would you manage to be by yourself or do you want me to call Julie " my dad says

"Dad, I'm not alone there are a million people here, and no not Julie my head will crack" Julie yes my elder sis. they laugh at my comment and head off after hugging me one last time.

"Alex Collymore I heard what you said" a voice very similar came from behind me.

"oh hey Julie how are you?" she just rolls her eyes and walks to her room.

I couldn't roam around the neighborhood like most guys do or go for playing. my dad is in the mafia he is very sweet but in the time of job he is a different person, so you'll know that's where my personality came from. I keep roaming around the house to get something to do until I decide to text ava.

'you there' i text her

'you shouldn't have left and gone' she says

'May I have a photo of you' i ask her knowing she would refuse like most girls I find on the internet.

'i will if you send yours' she says but I'm not allowed to send my pics or even show me she might know who I am.

'then ill pass' i text her back

'🙄'

'you don't have to be mean'

'I'm not mean like you stalker' she replied I could verbally feel her rolling her eyes at me.

'and who are you though and how do you know me' she texts again

'maybe the guy who had a hoodie on his face' i reply waiting for her reaction

'oh so you're the creepy old man' she replied which automatically made my smile into a frown

and then she went offline, I want to meet her as soon as possible. *smirks*
