Kid, Why the hell did you do that!?

"Shut up! You're new. Just stay there and defend properly."

These words weren't heard by Kai. The scrawny teenager ignored the "wise" words of his teammate as he played with his instincts. The invisible shackles placed upon Kai disappeared. He played football with his instincts, with his mind, and with his heart.

The seconds passed by as the ball was passed, from player to player, to another player. Finally, after long spells on the ball, captain Roys had no choice but to pass the ball to Kai. Their opponents focused their attention on stopping their dangerous attacking players, so Roys couldn't find a good pass.

The opponent didn't place Kai in their hearts at all. In their mind, Kai was nothing more than a dog, a nuisance to be avoided, and spat on.

Kai's only way to prove them wrong was to fight back. It didn't matter to him who the opponent was. It didn't matter if they were opponents or players on the same team. He would prove his doubters wrong.

He would do anything to prove to them that he is a stronger player than they were. He would do anything to show them that he can be the reason that the team wins. He wouldn't hesitate to do so.

As Roys passed the ball to Kai, the teenager used his instincts to decide his next move. The teammates that were scolding Kai were invisible. The Asian youth has firm control over his fate.

Marley nervously watched Kai as he received the ball. The manager wanted the player to do a simple pass to his teammates. To the manager's surprise, Kai agitatedly kicked the ball up the field without any reason.

"What the hell!"

Manager Marley was losing his head at what he saw. Every time Kai received the ball, he would hastily clear the ball away without any reason. Kai wasn't under pressure from his opponents, but he was just giving the ball away without reason.

Roys was not impressed. "Kid, pass to me. Stop clearing the ball! Why the hell did you do that!?"

But Kai couldn't stop kicking the ball. Kai laughed off what his teammates were thinking, he wasn't kicking the ball meaninglessly. Kai was trying to play a long pass!

Kai knew why he was playing like this. The scrawny teenager could see the whole world in front of him. [ De Bruyne Vision ] is changing how he viewed the game. Kai can spot every player on the pitch, he can even predict his teammates' next move!

Kai wasn't kicking the ball long without purpose. He was trying to play a killer pass that would end the game! However, Kai's technique was so poor that whenever he tried a long pass, it was nowhere near his target.

Kai can spot dangerous passes because of [ De Bruyne Vision ], but he didn't have the technique to execute them. He was wasting time, time that his teammates needed to defeat their opponents.

Kai's reputation was dragged through the mud. His nearby teammates hated him, and his manager hated him. But Kai didn't care, he believed in himself to make that one pass, that one killer pass that will shut them up.

A mother and her son were walking along the road. On their walk, they noticed a football match happening in the local park. The mom and son observed the game with great interest.

The son was visibly confused. "Mother, what is that player doing?"

The mother knew exactly who his son was talking about. "My dear son, when you grow up, don't play football like him."

Observing Kai who is booting the ball at every opportunity, the mother shook her head. "That player doesn't know how to play football."

The boy did not like his mom's answer. He felt wronged. In his young mind, he could not figure out how why her mother was so sure.

"How can you tell, mother?"

"It is obvious, son. That boy is not fit to play football. He is not comfortable with the ball, and he does not have the technique."

After hearing his mom's words, the boy couldn't handle what was happening. He quickly threw his mother's coat at her face.

"Ow! Take that coat off of my face!"

The mother wasn't angry, but she thought the boy's behaviour was unacceptable. Her son could not even handle the harsh reality. The mother wished to teach her son a lesson.

"Wait, Mother! LOOK!" The boy pointed at Kai.

"Huh?"

Kai never gave up. Even when his enemies belittled him, even when his teammates hated him, even when his manager detest him, Kai firmly believed he could accomplish the impossible.

The Right Defender kept trying, every long pass that he failed was a learning experience. Each failure improved Kai's technique. It was this trial and error that made Kai improve at a freakish rate.

Kai eyed the football that arrived by his feet. He measured the weight of the ball, timing his striking technique. Kai found his target before releasing his devastating long pass.

*Peng*

Kai struck the ball squarely and it was going straight where he wanted it.

However, Kai realized his technique was not good enough. He kicked the ball way too hard, which greatly reduced its accuracy.

The ball sailed over the target by a good 10 yards. Kai was disappointed. This was a serious mistake.

"KAI!" A voice echoed through the pitch.

Kai knew what was coming. His captain was displeased. Kai knew that he would face the rage and hate from his teammates and manager.

However, when all hope was lost, Kai spotted a player from the corner of his eye.

It was Leroy. The striker was chasing after the long pass that he overhit.

No player is quicker and more agile than Leroy. It was his impeccable speed that saved Kai's disastrous pass.

Leroy had always expected a chance to come his way. The striker had been waiting for the perfect chance to score a goal. He had been waiting for that pass, that perfect pass that would allow him to score. Leroy never expected such a chance to be created by the incompetent Kai.

[ Vision De Bruyne ]

Kai's teammates were shocked. The opponent team was shocked. But Manager Marley was even more shocked than everyone. This youth team manager only allowed Kai to play because of his pity. Marley never believed in Kai, but what he witnessed had him choking on his words.

"COME ON! SCORE!!!" Manger Marley shouted on the sidelines. Leroy felt his bubbly manager's motivation. He was empowered, running faster than the wind as he dribbled with the ball.

Marley's eyes opened as he watch the play unfold. With his hands transformed into tight fists that reflect his stress. "Come on kid, score that goal!" The manager jumped up and down on the sideline, his mouth opened wide as he shouted his absolute loudest, cheering on Leroy. Kai was also on his toes. He could smell the goal, He could literally smell it coming.

The speed of Leroy is impeccable, with him edging the opponent defender slightly to shield the ball from the Defender. The No. 9 eyes focused on the ball, yet wary of the strong presence that is ever so slightly pushing him from the back.

He dashed faster, desperate to lose his marker. But he felt an invisible pressure from his shirt as if it was pulling him back, not wanting him to get away. Leroy could feel his pace slow down. Was he getting tired?

Leroy disagreed. The striker could feel his legs are not even remotely fatigued. And compare this to the physically intensive training that they had gone through, what he had done on the pitch was nothing.

The heavy breathing down his neck made the presence of the defender well aware to Leroy. He didn't even bother looking back, but he wanted to silently beat this prick into pieces. Leroy rarely lost in a foot race, and this was no exception, but this defender was blatantly pulling on his shirt!

It was a dash to goal. Leroy and the defender chased and each scrambled to be the first on the ball. But Leroy was slightly ahead of his opponent, the goalkeeper watched the scene unfold. Suddenly, The keeper rushed out from the goal to clear it! It's a three-man race for the ball and each was just as likely to get there first!"

The two teams looked on from the distance as they anticipated who will collect the ball first. But no one could have predicted what would happen next.

Manager Marley was on his tip toes as he waited for the next moment. Barely any time had passed as the two players were fighting for the ball. Suddenly there was a loss of balance and...

The speedy forward reaches the ball first! He round the keeper. The goal was wide open! Leroy shoot!!! And he slotted the ball into the back of the net! Leroy has done it. In the 83rd minute of the match, striker Leroy scored thanks to Kai's adventurous pass.
