Isabella is his sister.

Alisha was surprised to see Isabella. She became annoyed because nobody is allowed on the CEO's floor. She wondered how Isabella got in.

"Excuse me, you are not allowed in here, this is the CEO's office, how did you get in here? I am going to call the security officers, please leave," Alisha blurted out.

Isabella laughed out loud, shaking her head in disbelief.

"I am your so-called CEO's sister, get out of the way," She eyed her and pushed her out of the way.

Alisha staggered, startled. Alisha had no desire to be close to her.

She must exercise caution around Alex in order to avoid trouble. She considered giving him the files.

"Why am I afraid? "I am his secretary, and if I do not give him, he will be angry with me," Alisha reasoned to herself.

She exhaled and mustered up her courage. Alisha knocked on the door and entered. She noticed Isabella seated opposite Alex. Alisha rolled her eyes and strode towards Alex.

"These are the files sir," she smiled at him, handing over the files to him.

Alex instructed her to drop the files and serve them coffee. She nodded her head and left the office.

"Phew, that was easy," she chuckled.

She went back to work.

************

"Alex, how could you hire her? Even though you employed her, why did you put her as your secretary?" Isabella folded her arms, her voice laced with curiosity.

"Isabella, enough of your tantrums. Whoever is my employee is none of your business, and when did you start getting interested in my affairs?" Alex asked, annoyed.

"I am sorry. Where is Hayden? I haven't seen him; can you call him for me"

Alex rolled his eyes and sighed. He summoned Hayden to his office. Isabella thanked Alex and kissed him. Alex glared at her.

"That's irritating. Don't try that again Isabella. What if someone sees us like that, what would they think?"

"Then I  will pluck their eyes out," Isabella chuckled.

Alex looked at her, surprised. He shaked his head in disbelief.

Isabella laughed out, "I was kidding, cmon

can't I kiss my brother again."

Hayden entered Alex's office, he was amazed to see Isabella. He knew it was Isabella that summoned him the moment he saw her. Isabella hugged Hayden and raised kisses on his face.

Alex cleared his throat, "don't do this in my office, this is a workplace"

Hayden apologized and told Isabella to excuse them for a while. She nodded her head and excused herself.

"Alex, I want to discuss something important to you"

"Go ahead, Hayden"

Hayden sat opposite Alex.

"Your grandfather collapsed," Hayden uttered out.

"WHAT!!!" Alex stood up, and stumbled. Hayden rushed to his side and helped him.

"Why didn't you inform me, Hayden? You know I detest it when something like this is hidden from me."

Hayden apologized and handed him a scroll.

"This is his inheritance to you"

Alex read it and smiled.

"This man never seems to amaze me," Alex closed it and kept it somewhere safe.

"How could he do this to me, he knows I am not interested in marriage, he used this to trap me down. Since it's his request then I will do it for his sake"

"I have read it, Alex. The only way you can take over his property is marriage. You have to do it fast because he chose only you, Alex."

"Your father's family will be in shock when they see his will. That's why he told me to inform you before it's too late."

"How is he now? Am I permitted to meet him?" Alex asked, his voice laced with concern.

Hayden sighed, "He is not okay; he is near his deathbed. He doesn't want you to meet him yet. I have a candidate in mind, Alex"

"Who's that?"

"You know her already. I chose Alisha for you. She's the best candidate for this Job; she's different from the other ladies."

"Enough of this, Hayden. I don't know what Alisha has done to you. I am not hearing this anymore."

"But Alex"

"Hayden please leave," Alex said, cutting him off.

Hayden raised his hands in surrender and left the office.

**************

"Oh no, I forgot about the coffee. I'm in trouble, Alex will screw me alive," Alisha squirmed, hitting her head.

Isabella walked out of the office; Alisha adjusted herself. She continued what she was doing when she saw Isabella.

Hayden came out, looked at Alisha, and looked back at Isabella. He told her she can go inside.

Alisha's phone rang, she glanced at it, an unknown number written on the screen. She became afraid, and thought on what to do if it's them.

She switched off her phone, so it won't be trackable. Alisha held her chest, her breath ragged. She breathed in and out to catch up her breath.

"I called you Alisha, what's wrong? Why didn't you pick my call?" Hayden uttered out. He examined Alisha and knew something was wrong.

He rushed to her side, and helped her to breathe well. Alisha became calm and thanked Hayden.

"How did it happen, Alisha?"

"Nothing, Hayden. I was stressed out. You were saying something earlier, what was that?"

"Later, Alisha. Make sure you take care of yourself," Hayden smiled and excused himself.

Alisha returned to the files Alex had given her and ensured that she completed them. It was late, and everyone had left except her.

The office was strangely quiet, with the only sounds being the ticking clock and the occasional hum of the air conditioner.

She could hear muffled voices coming from Alex's office, but she ignored them because she was too busy working.

When she finished the last report, Alisha stretched her tired legs, grabbed her coat, and headed for the door.

The building seemed deserted, and she hurried through the empty corridors, eager to return to Stacey's apartment.

As she approached the apartment, she noticed the door slightly ajar. A shiver went down her spine.

Alisha was always meticulous about locking the door. She pushed it open cautiously, her heart pounding in her chest. The sight that greeted her was terrifying.
