After flirting a little, Lucia suddenly said, "Oh right, I completely forgot about why I came here. Velda, let's go downstairs. Rimuru already made breakfast for us."
Veldanava nodded, although a bit hesitant. If possible, he didn't want to face his younger sister after what happened yesterday. Who knew how many hours he would have to listen to her scolding. He remembered Veldora was scolded for 2 hours straight for getting drunk one day. His sister is scary when she is angry.
Lucia, seeing his hesitation, chuckled. She knew he was worried about getting a scolding from Rimuru for getting too drunk yesterday. Although she and Rimuru agreed to pardon him for just this once, Lucia wasn't going to inform this to her poor husband.
"Come on, let's go!" she said as she dragged her poor husband, who was restless. If one didn't know any better, they would seriously think he was searching for a way to run away from this house.
Veldanava felt his heartbeat rise with each passing second. If he had blood, he would seriously think that he had high blood pressure. He looked like someone who was on the execution platform.
Milim, who was in Lucia's arms, saw this and cried happily. She thought he was funny. Lucia also barely held her laughter seeing her husband's state. Veldanava was too funny. If not for Milim in her hands, she would be rolling on the floor dying from laughter.
As Lucia dragged Veldanava downstairs, he couldn't shake off the feeling of impending doom. Every step felt heavier, and his nerves were on edge as they approached the dining area where Rimuru awaited.
Upon entering, Veldanava forced a sheepish smile, attempting to appear nonchalant despite his inner turmoil. Rimuru, noticing his uneasy demeanor, raised an eyebrow inquisitively but said nothing, opting to observe the unfolding drama with amusement.
" I see you have woken up from your slumber elder brother " Rimuru said with her eyes narrowed.
Just now she got a quick telepathic message from Lucia explaining the situation. When such a grand stage is set up, how could she not act up her role.
Veldanava's smile faltered slightly. "Y-yes, I just woke up ," he stammered, hoping his nervousness wasn't too obvious.
" Well with how much you drank yesterday I'm surprised you even managed to get up from bed. " Rimuru said with a dangerous glint in her eyes.
Veldanava flinched as he tried to look away from her gaze. He looked like a puppy who got caught eating the snacks the owner saved for the future.
Seeing him like this, Lucia couldn't hold herself anymore and ended up laughing out loud. Soon Rimuru joined in too. Seeing everyone laughing, Milim also joined in on the laughter.
Seeing everyone laughing like this, Veldanava was stunned. Then he asked in a confused voice, "What happened for all of you to laugh like this?"
To his words, the laughter only increased. Sensing this had something to do with him, his eyes twitched. He then waited for them to finish laughing as they wanted and began eating his breakfast that was served.
After a while, both Rimuru and Lucia calmed down enough to explain what happened. Hearing their words, he wanted to scream at the injustice, but remembering that he was the one truly at fault, he kept his silence. He wasn't going to kick a gift horse when it came to him.
After the lively breakfast both Veldanava and Lucia bid their farewell to Rimuru and headed back to their house. Seeing their departing backs Rimuru had a complicated feeling.
Although Veldanava didn't show it he was very uncomfortable. Almost all of his skills are sealed making him someone very close to a normal human. Rimuru speculated that he might have lost his ability to transform back to his dragon form.
Frankly she wanted nothing but to keep them here in her house as it wasn't just Veldanava that was weakened. Lucia too is quite weakened due to childbirth and would take almost a year for her to get back to her top condition.
And to make matters worse none of the true dragons could visit Veldanava like they used to. Since Milim is just being born no one wanted to be party pooper and disturb them. The most they could do is visit him once a month.
' I just hoped Dino and the angels are enough protection for them. ' Rimuru thought as she ignored the bad feeling she was feeling in her chest. She knew she was just over reacting. Knowing the future may have made her think everything would go down negatively.
It was a few days later that Rimuru would realise how wrong her judgement was. But as they say there is no medicine for regret.
It was just like any day. Rimuru was doing her doing her usual thing and serving the customers in the restaurant when she suddenly felt her heart tightened. A sensation she only felt once.
It was when Veldora destroyed their soul corridor to protect her from the domination effect of Ultimate skill Michael. And now she felt the same feeling except it was far worse. This time it was no soul corridor. But the direct bond all true dragons feel.
It was the bond Rimuru had with Veldanava. It suddenly collapses, meaning he is at death's door or is already dead. This realisation hit Rimuru that she froze suddenly. Then an overwhelming pressure was released by her making almost everyone in the restaurant lose consciousness suddenly.
Normally Rimuru would never release her aura even when she was angry but Veldanava's situation hit her too hard for her to think straight. Without giving any explanation she dashed out of the restaurant. In her hurry she didn't even open the door as she broke through it. She quickly turned into her dragon form and flew straight where she last felt Veldanava was.
In the restaurant those who managed to retain their consciousness were the three primordial girls and some of Rimuru's strongest subordinates. They were a bit surprised as to why their leader suddenly released her aura. But even though they were barely conscious, they all saw the anxious look on Rimuru's face when she dashed away. So they quickly deduced that something must have happened that made Rimuru lose her calm.
While they slowly regained their bearings they heard Ciel's orders, " Sophia go and inform Rudra and Guy that something has happened to Veldanava. Tell them stop their fight and go there immediately or there wouldn't be a cardinal world left for them to live.
You guys divide into two groups and leave one group here to wake up the others and evacuate them out of here while other groups go to the cardinal world as soon as possible. We would need all the help to calm Rimuru down. "
After she was done speaking her body turned into black smoke as she went back into Rimuru's body.
