War Preparations!

Weeks went by, and Lucifer and Rimuru could be seen in the office, sitting opposite from each other on couches discussing.

"So has all the equipment been prepared?" Lucifer questioned.

"Yeah including the generators, they're being implemented now." Rimuru replied.

"Perfect. Since Ramiris has also come, she finished building the labyrinth which can act as a safe house for all the citizens." Lucifer sighed in relief.

Rimuru nodded in agreement.

"Mr.Lucifer, Ms.Rimuru!" 5 kids entered their room abruptly.

"Kenya! I thought I told you to stop calling me Ms." Rimuru rubbed his forehead in irritation.

"But Lucifer said your his wife, so you have to be a girl." Kenya replied bluntly.

"My boy!" Lucifer exclaimed proudly at his troublemaker accomplice.

"Ms-Mr.Rimuru is not Mr. Lucifer's wife!" Chloe replied with a reddened face.

"Yeah, he's just a pervert!" Alice pointed accusingly at Lucifer.

Lucifer looked hurt by their words.

"To think I would be called a pervert by children." Lucifer fell down on the ground dramatically.

"That's cause you are, p-pervert!" Chloe agreed, latching onto Rimuru's arm.

'To think the day I would be competing with a child, well it's not really a competition, I would win easily in terms of looks.' Lucifer snickered inwardly.

The other two kids didn't bother involving themselves in such an argument.

The 4 kids, Kenya, Chloe, Alice, Gale, and Ryota arrived in Tempest just last week with Souei and Ramiris.

They were healed by having Spirits reside in them and decided to stay in Tempest after learning of the connection Lucifer and Rimuru had with their former teacher, Shizue.

"Is it true that you guys are going to war!?" Kenya questioned excitedly.

"Kenya war isn't as cool as it seems." Chloe commented as if she had experienced it beforehand.

"How would you know!?" Kenya retorted.

"Just cause I do! Hmph!" Chloe replied with sass.

"Why don't you fight m-" Before kenya finished his words, Lucifer patted his head.

"Calm down guys. To answer your question, no we are not going to war, if they don't attack us we should be fine but that's just wishful thinking. If they do attack us, we will have to respond equally in force."

"But Chloe is right, war is definitely not pleasant, the death, blood, organs. The worse part is the screaming of friends and alli-" Lucifer was being descriptive before Rimuru cut him off.

"Enough! I don't think it's a good idea to say such things to kids." Rimuru frowned and pointed towards the frightened kids, even Kenya seemed a little timid.

"In such a world, they need to come to understand that not everything is good so they can be prepared for it." Lucifer replied nonchalantly.

"Still, they have no reason to hear this now." Rimuru replied sternly.

"Whatever, enough chit-chat. Now why'd you guys come here?" Lucifer just shrugged.

"Well, we were kinda hungry." Alice replied while twiddling with her fingers embarrassedly.

"That's it? Of course! Normally we would eat with you guys but we're a bit busy today so you guys go on ahead, Gobzina can take you." As soon as Rimuru finished his words, a goblin maid appeared randomly outside the door.

"Okay thank you! Bye!" They all thanked and waved goodbye to Rimuru and Lucifer.

As soon as they left, Gobzina bowed and closed the door after them.

"You know I can't help but think Shion and Shuna would look good in a maid outift." Lucifer randomly commented.

"Something we can agree on!" Rimuru chuckled.

"Maybe in the future we can do such a thing." Lucifer smirked.

"Definitely! But back to busines-" Before Rimuru could finish his words, Souei kneeling appeared in front of them.

"Sir's I apologize for interrupting but I have urgent news!" Souei seemed slightly nervous.

"What is it?" Lucifer questioned, even though he had an idea.

"It seems that there are much more soldiers than we anticipated and they also have weird aircrafts." Souei explained.

"It can't be that much more." Rimuru commented with a slight frown.

"No sir, they number in the hundreds of thousands, around 300,000." Souei continued.

"But that's not all, there is another army comprised of 20,000 coming from the opposite direction."

"This is definitely not good, we've already sent out clones with Diablo a few days ago to retrieve the souls. He still hasn't returned, I'm not sure if we'll be able to hold out long." Rimuru assessed calmly.

"Agreed. It's not about the quantity, rather we are lacking quality/power." Lucifer nodded.

"How close are they?" Rimuru questioned.

"The 20,000 army is 2 days away, while the 300,000 one is 3 days away." Souei answered.

"So the only plausible plan is beating the 20,000 army in 1 day, and beating the 300,000 soon after." Lucifer thought aloud.

"Yeah, we need to come up with a strategy that can handle them the fastest." Rimuru nodded in agreement.

"Souei your dismissed, we will hold an emergency meeting soon." Lucifer ordered.

Souei nodded and disappeared from his spot.

On a certain pathway, thousands of soldiers with holy and normal armor can be seen marching.

At the front, could be seen a lady that resembles a boy with a certain charm.

This was Hinata in her armor, leading the combined forces of the Holy Church and Falmuth's army.

"Lady Hinata won't you reconsider becoming my concubine, I could give you riches and fame beyond your understanding." A gruff old man behind Hinata spoke.

"Your majesty, I have already said no, if you keep asking I will take this as offense to the Holy Church it's self." Hinata replied coldly.

"Tsk, your loss." The King of Falmuth grumbled.

'I hate dealing with fools like him, I should have just said no to this mission but since they kidnapped Shizue's kids, I will have to punish those responsible with death and save them.' Hinata swore inwardly.

"We will camp here for the day, by tomorrow we will have arrived at the enemy's base so rest well." Hinata halted and ordered.

The men just nodded and started creating tents and camps.

"I still don't understand why the East Empire accelerated their plans." Lucifer thought aloud while walking to the meeting room with Rimuru by his side in the hallways.

"Maybe they were just afraid of our growth." Rimuru responded.

"Nah I doubt it." Lucifer replied.

'The growth of Tempest isn't that different from the original. The reason because of this is we have plenty of ideas but it takes time for the workers to understand all the concepts in order to recreate them. Plus me and Rimuru don't have time to babysit the workers.' Lucifer thought inwardly.

'What Ramiris told me earlier is concerning me.' Lucifer thought with narrowed eyes.

(Flashback To When Lucifer Met Ramiris)

"Yo Lucifer before you go, you might wanna be more careful." Ramiris said seriously.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lucifer raised his eyebrow.

"A few weeks ago were you in some sort of uncontrolled frenzy or rage?" Ramiris questioned.

"I suppose I was pretty mad." Lucifer replied, thinking back on his fight with Charybdis.

"Well usually you'd have to be pretty strong in order to garner attention from the more powerful beings but even I can tell your pretty weak compared to the top powers, fufufu." Ramiris chuckled.

Lucifer just scoffed.

"Well even though your weak, your aura managed to even make me take notice from here. Most likely if such a thing happens, it means that it wasn't because of the power of the aura, rather it was the energy of the aura." Ramiris explained.

"Hmm. Which means others will have taken notice of me and take measures against me." Lucifer nodded, understanding her point.

Until his face morphed into confusion.

"But what exactly do you mean by "energy of the aura"?" Lucifer questioned.

"Well us beings on this planet as with every other planet, tend to have the misconception that Magicules is the building blocks of life. Now for this planet, yes that is correct we only utilize Magicules but for other universes, they use completely different ones. I believe that your power derives from one such universe, which makes you an irregular on our planet. But it seems you haven't unlocked such power yet." Ramiris explained a matter of factly.

"Wow you actually sound somewhat smart, maybe if you talked like this rather than an idiot, people wouldn't mistake you for one." Lucifer muttered.

"Hmph! At least I'm not vying for someone who doesn't even like me back!" Ramiris retorted.

"Oho, who told you that? Milim? I'll have to take away her cookie privileges for a while." Lucifer stated with a twitching eyebrow.

'I don't think I've ever had a cookie before. I wonder what it tastes like?' Ramiris wondered inwardly.

"But I understand what you mean, basically I have a power that is from a foreign universe that set people's eyes on my nation because of the danger I pose? But I haven't unlocked such power yet." Lucifer looked at Ramiris for confirmation.

"Pretty much, just watch your back." Ramiris responded.

(Flashback Over)

"Hmm, it seems she was right." Lucifer muttered.

"Huh?" Rimuru seemed confused about what Lucifer was talking about.

"I'll tell you later." Lucifer just waves him off.

Rimuru and Lucifer reached the meeting room and entered.

It's been two days since the executive meeting, and Hinata and her army are set to appear in a few hours.

After coming up with a plan, they decided to allow Lucifer and Rimuru to focus on Hinata while the rest fight the more powerful subordinates under her.

Inside the meeting room, they discussed the plan one more time.

"Does everybody understand?" Lucifer questioned.

They all nodded.

"Of course sir, I'll make sure everything stays on track." Benimaru assured Lucifer.

"Listen if Hinata came, that means that her subordinates under her called the Ten Great Saints came. Listen, do not underestimate them, because right now you guys are weak and you guys have only fought weaklings up until now." Lucifer stated a matter of factly.

Everyone looked a little deflated at Lucifer's comment, even Benimaru.

"So after this, I wanna see you guys get even stronger! We are fucking Tempest! These bastards are attacking us for a reason, let's fucking show them we mean business! Fuck mercy!" Lucifer shouted.

"NO MERCY!"

All the executive member's emotions did a 180 after hearing Lucifer's words, they started to chant, raising the morale in the room.

'What kind of battle maniacs are we creating?' Rimuru's sweat dropped.

'I can only imagine how bad it would have been if we were merciful. The number of bodies including Shion that would be in front of me was saved, all because of him.' Rimuru had a slight smile looking at Lucifer.

Which didn't go unnoticed by Lucifer but he chose to ignore it because it wasn't the time.

"Alright enough! Goodluck and get in positions!" Rimuru ordered, feeling left out.

After everyone left, Lucifer and Rimuru looked at each other.

"Now it's up to me and you." Lucifer walked closer to Rimuru and grabbed his head from both sides.

"Luci-" Rimuru was flustered, mistaking it for a kiss but nothing came except a small headbutt.

"This is what I would do back at home with my close friends when we would go to war, so please just be safe." Lucifer's voice sounded meek.

Rimuru looked confused at why he was being emotional.

'Did he lose friends in the military or maybe family issues? I'll have to ask him later.' Rimuru thought inwardly.

"*Sigh* what will I do with you? How about we just protect each other." Rimuru had a slight smile on his face.

"Of course!" Lucifer's meek voice disappeared as soon as it came.

"I can finally show my full glory to you!" Lucifer dramatically posed in a JoJo pose.

"As if! Let's spice it up, what about whoever contributes more to the war has to do a dare from the other." Rimuru proposed with a smirk.

'This guy is really picking after me.' Lucifer had a proud smile on his face.

"What's that look for?" Rimuru questioned.

"Deal! Let's shake on it!" Lucifer ignored Rimuru's question and put his hand out.

"Deal!" Rimuru just shrugged and shook his hand with a smile.

"Alright! Shall we go my queen?" Lucifer held his handout like some knight in shining armor.

"You really like to be childish." Rimuru commented grabbing his hand.

"Maybe." Lucifer responded before Shunpoing them towards the meeting point of the battlefield.
