All Over Rage (III)

08:57 A.M.

Dominador Gomez's Residence.

June 17th, the year 2018. Sunday.

"Katrina, stop." Mina picked up the bottles that Katrina bought in the convenience store near his house. Katrina bawled her eyes out, grabbing a hold of Mina's arms. She forcefully retrieved the bottles out from his palms. Mina exhaled an extensive amount of air.

"Katrina, it's broad daylight there, can't you see it? And here you are, drinking your butt off for a guy?" Mina scolded her for the tenth time now. Katrina chugged down the entire bottle of spirit in one gulp. She averted her eyes to Mina while wiping her mouth.

"You think Tristan is just a guy to me?" Katrina asked in her slurry voice. She swallowed down ten bottles since 6 am and Mina didn't know how she got out of his house unnoticeable. She bought at least a case of liquor, and she didn't seem satisfied with it.

"Katrina, please. You can kill yourself by drinking all of that liquor," Mina tried to calm her down. Katrina just rolled her eyes and continued to swallow the spirited bottle she was holding.

"Tristan is not just a guy to me. He was my ideal man. A man I dreamt of," Katrina whimpered. Mina brushed his hand over because of exasperation.

"And so, you could find another guy you can keep on cherishing forever, Katrina. It's not like Tristan meant for you. Millions of guys out there are swooning over to capture your heart," Mina barked. Katrina looked at him again with droopy and sad eyes.

"How about you, Mina? Aren't you hitting guys now and then?" Katrina asked him sarcastically. Mina furrowed his eyebrows and howled, "What?!"

"Don't tell me you are a straight guy right now. It doesn't feel like it," Katrina muttered and opened another bottle. She was still wearing the same clothes she wore yesterday. Flowery top, white slacks, and her hair are loose over her shoulders. To top it all off, her round earrings look really elegant.

Her eyes were drowsy now because of the alcohol. Her head kept on laying down even though Katrina controlled it by putting her chin on her right hand.

"Katrina, I am not a flirting gay you would just meet out of the street. Have some decency in your words," Mina glowered. Katrina chortled and tucked her hair behind her ears.

"Oh, Mina. I observed lately that you are changing," Katrina teased him, guffawing. Mina knew Katrina didn't know what she was saying right now. Mina sat down beside her, picked up the bottles from the floor, and looked up at Katrina.

"I am not changing. I am here as your friend," Mina whispered. He put the bottles down on the sink first before glancing at Katrina again. He thought of calling the entire group, but he knew one person who could talk her out of her suffering. It's Abbey.

Katrina opened another bottle and slurred while laying down her head on the table.

"Why did you do it, Tristan, when I realize I love you now?" Katrina asked no one in particular. Mina shook his head and didn't know what to do. He finally dialed Abbey's number. She quickly picked it up.

"Mina, hey."

"Abbey, I need your help."

"What? What is it? Where are you?" Abbey wondered.

"Katrina is here at my house. I need help from you. She had been drinking a lot since earlier. I don't know how I can make her stop," Mina muttered. Katrina raised her head and stomped it on the hard table. Mina ran over and put his hand on the table. Katrina glared at him.

"Abbey, please. I'll hang up now. Come over here after a minute," Mina said quickly and put his cell phone on the backside of his shorts. Katrina still locked her stare on Mina while it slightly draped her hair over her face.

"Please, leave me alone, huh? Just this one time, Mina," Katrina murmured.

"Katrina, stop. You are so deluded by this. Tristan is not the one who deserves all of your love, okay? You are making us worry!" Mina raised his voice for Katrina to wake up from her delusion. Katrina averted her eyes again from Mina. He saw tears pouring out of her eyes. Mina closed his eyes and looked the other way.

Mina's cell phone vibrated, and he quickly got it out. He saw Marcus on the dial screen.

"Marcus."

"How was Katrina? Is she doing okay?"

"There was something we should be worried about. I just saw a video on the internet. It looks like Margo and Katrina got into a fight yesterday night, which we don't know until now. I don't know what is the cause, but I assume it is because of Tristan Dera," Marcus explained. Mina got confused for a moment, and he widened his eyes after he realized something.

"I'll send over the video. Try to calm down Katrina for a bit. I think the reason Margo passed out was that Katrina said something," Marcus quavered. He hung up after Mina lowered down his cell phone. It pinged and Mina saw a video clip that Marcus sent seconds ago.

Someone took it to the bar last night. It was rather shaky. The owner of the video even muttered something. He played it and saw the two of them brawling while Tristan tried to make peace between them.

He skipped the parts of it and saw how Katrina hitch Margo's hair. In the early parts of the clip, she even slapped Margo and Tristan. At the end, there's something Mina found out.

"Katrina, answer me with a yes or no. Did you get into a fight with Margo yesterday night?" Mina asked, facing her. Katrina shrugged at him. She even shook his head, as if triggering Mina's temper.

"No. She started it," Katrina hissed. Mina bit his lip and asked again patiently.

"Katrina, a yes or a no. Did you get into a fight with Margo yesterday?" Mina inquired.

"Yes, and why do you care?" Katrina retorted.

"Katrina, you are all over on the internet again. And you would say to me, what the hell do I care? You are my best friend, Katrina! Cmon, I care about you, wake up!" Mina yelled. Katrina shrugged again, looked down, and put the bottle on her lips again. But this time, Mina tightened his grip on the bottle.

"What are you doing now?! Give that back to me!" Katrina burst out. Mina raises the bottle higher, out of reach of Katrina. She stood up, determined to get the bottle, but her knees got weak.

She stumbled upon her own feet and fell on the floor. Katrina sat up from the floor and put her hands over her face. She sobbed louder than usual. Mina placed the bottle on the table and crouched down to see Katrina's face.

Katrina removed it and wiped the tears hurriedly as she muttered, "I felt betrayed. Tristan kissed her like she was his girlfriend. That was why I did it. I don't have any intentions of saying it to Margo."

Mina got puzzled as he remembered Marcus's words. There was something Katrina said that made Margo pass out of consciousness. It might have been a fear that crept through her body. When Mina was about to ask what Katrina said when there was a loud knock on the door. Mina stood up and thought that it was Abbey, but it was not.

It's Carmela!

"Carmela---"

Mina's surprised to see her. Carmela ignored her and walked straight ahead of him. She stopped in front of Katrina.

"Why did you say that to Margo?" Carmela raised her voice. Mina watched and listened to what Carmela would say. He had a bad feeling that it was not a simple thought. It is something much worse than that. Katrina stared at Carmela. She smiled sadly and sighed.

"It's something you wouldn't know that would come out of my mouth," Katrina murmured.

"I know you, Katrina. You are so clueless about your words. Margo was so scared to meet you again," Carmela spat. Mina got a little confused by that when he heard Abbey on the front porch.

Mina shushed her as she was about to say something. The two of them listened to Carmela and Katrina talking to each other.

"She's afraid of hearing that? Carmela, I have no intentions of saying---"

"How could you say to somebody that you will kill her if she makes the same mistake again?" Carmela cut her off. Katrina knew it. She clenched her jaw and realized that Margo confessed everything to Carmela.

"I know. I said it for a reason," Katrina mumbled.

"For a reason? What nonsense reason is this for you to threaten somebody?" Carmela rebutted. Katrina said nothing and just shook her head. Mina and Abbey slack their jaws when they hear what Carmela said.

"For Margo to stay away from you. I don't want her in the first place," Katrina chuckled.

"What?" Carmela furrowed her eyebrows. She doesn't want to believe Katrina is saying these words.

"I found a perfect way for Margo to stay away from you. Tristan too, whom I love dearly," Katrina sniggered and reached out for the bottle on the table. Carmela looked at the two and shook her head.
