Chapter 33.2 : The Slaughter Continues

As he stared at the pirate ship which was arrogantly coming right towards the port, Marine Captain Jon, who was standing on top of the marine base couldn't help but faintly frown.

'The Storm pirates? Since when did they have the guts to challenge the marines head on?' thought Jon with that same frown still on his fate.

Although the captain and the first mate of the Storm Pirates were really quite powerful, after being surrounded by he, as well as his 3 other comrades and over 50 marines, the 2 could do nothing but retreat.

Nevermind attacking the marine base itself, which had over 200 marines stationed on it right now, Jon had even thought about trying to hunt down the Storm Pirates.

At this moment though, Jon was broken out of his thoughts as several cannons placed on the marines base suddenly opened fire onto the pirate ship.

...

As they stared at the four cannonballs that were about to hit the ship, Diana, Thresh and Emily suddenly took action.

First was Diana, who merely stretched out her hand and caught one of the cannonballs in her palm before doing the same to a second one.

At the same time, Thresh suddenly took out his sword and jumped into the air, intercepting a cannonball that was about to hit the foremast.

In an instant, Thresh's sword cut right through the metal cannonball, splitting it into two perfect parts, which then fell into the ocean, causing Diana's eyebrows to slightly rise as she stared at the old man that had just landed back onto the ship.

A moment later, Emily, who had fully recovered from her spars with Diana, also took action and jumped from the ship, right at the last cannonball, which arrived a bit later than the others.

In an instant, Emily arrived right near the cannonball, her foot about to touch it, only to sadly miss it, causing her to grit her teeth.

A moment later, Emily's foot warped, allowing her to suddenly land on the moving cannonball, before once again jumping towards the pier, the force of her jump sending the cannonball into the ocean below.

Emily's mistake did not escape Diana's eyes, causing both her and Thresh to slightly chuckle as they stared at the young girl.

...

The first thing that greeted Emily as soon as she arrived at the pier was a bunch of guns pointed at her, causing her to suddenly duck, dodging the bullets that would have come her way otherwise.

A moment later, Emily arrived in the midst of the marines, before suddenly beginning her rampage.

In just a few moments, Emily's punches and kicks sent over a dozen marines to the ground, but even so, Emily did not stop, and continued fighting, even as more marines rushed to the scene.

By the time Emily had slaughtered around 30 marines, she finally had to stop, as she suddenly had to move her head sideways to dodge a bullet that would have otherwise hit her, causing her to turn her attention to the three marine officers that had just arrived, one of which was holding a rifle, whilst the other two held melee weapons.

A moment later, Emily had to suddenly duck, as another bullet was just about to hit her, but even so, she still remembered to kick at the ankles of two marine cannon fodder, sending them to the ground.

By now, with the support of their officers, the cannon fodder gained some guts and began attacking Emily, buying time for the two officers to arrive and take care of the pirate captain.

Surrounded and under fire, Emily could only stand there and dodge attack after attack, allowing the two marine officers to arrive in front of her.

In an instant, the third officer suddenly fired a bullet right at Emily's head, causing her to dodge once again, sadly though, this gave the second officer, who was holding as sword, as well as the third officer, who was unarmed, enough time to attack her.

Merely a fraction of a moment later, both of the officers suddenly retreated their attacks, allowing Emily to suddenly use her huge amount of leg strength to leap over both of them, and charge right at the first officer.

Although both of them wanted to help their comrade, as they stared at the one-armed old man in front of her, who had just jumped onto the pier, both of them knew that was not possible just yet.

At this very moment, seeing that Thresh had finally joined in the fight, Captain Jon, who considered the old man by far the most dangerous member of the Storm Pirates suddenly jumped from the top of the Marine Base, right towards the old man, desiring to take him out before going after the pirate captain.

By the time Jon was halfway down the Marine Base, a leg suddenly smashed into him, sending the Captain right through the brick wall of the marine base.

A moment later, after taking another look at the battle below, Diana jumped into the hole the captain had created in the wall.

As soon as the sound from the battle above reached the bottom, both of the Officers fighting Thresh froze, for just a brief tiny moment, allowing Thresh to suddenly let out a slash against the sword wielding officer.

Upon noticing the slash coming his way, the officer instantly began retreating, trying to escape, from it, but sadly though, his tiny mistake had given Thresh more than enough time.

In just an instant, Thresh's blade cut right through the sword of the officer, before cutting the man into two distinct pieces.

A moment later, the other officer, as well as the twenty marines now surrounding Thresh suddenly began attacking the old man, only for this attack to stop just a moment later, as a bullet passed right through the skull of the officer.

As he raised his head and stared at Emily, who was currently standing over the corpse of the first officer, and was now holding his gun in her hand, Thresh faintly smiled.

A moment later, Diana, who had just finished off the extremely wounded Captain suddenly smashed into the ground, sending rocks, as well as several marines, flying.

A moment after that, Oro, who was leading 20 pirates behind him, finally joined in the fight.

Right now, the battle had already ended, but the slaughter was far from over.
