Chapter 2: The new beginning

Location: Bangkok,Thailand

"Khob-khun-khap" Thank you said Daniel as he bows to his customers. It's been five years since he quit as a member of City Magicians, he started his small restaurant here in Bangkok. "Daniel, sir you have a phone call" his assistant called and he signed him to hand him the phone "yes hello? Daniel speaking" he said in his mother tongue "Daniel, it's been 5 years" He heard those familiar deep voice that made him froze in his spot.

Location: Rome, Italy

"Now, you will feel very sleepy and when I snap my finger you will fell into a deep slumber" said Franklin as he performs his magic show in his audience. "3 2 1 sleep!" he exclaimed and the woman he invited in the stage fell asleep. The audiences clapped in amusement and he bowed to them "And now, when I snap my fingers, you will be…..a chicken" he said and laugh a little. He snapped his fingers and the woman starts to do the movements of the chicken. The audience starts to laugh and he snapped his fingers that made the woman wake up from his hypnosis that amazes the audience more. "Thank you so much for tonight!" He exclaimed and bowed to his audiences "I am your one and only City Magician! Thank you and goodnight!" he said as he exited the stage while the audience claps. it's been five years, but Franklin still uses the City Magician title. He still claims that he's still a member of the group.

"Mr. Wulfric you have a call" His personal assistant said as he handed him the phone "Thanks" he muttered and answered the call "Yes? Hello?" He answered "Been 5 years Mr. Wulfric" He heard the familiar deep voice that made him smile wide "How are you?" He said.

"How long did you practice?" Brian asked his friend as they play fencing in his fencing room "2 hours last night…Ow! That hurts!" his friend groaned in pain as Brian hit him. "Mr. Dursley. You have a phone call" His butler came. Brian removed his fencing face gear and grabbed the phone from his butler "Yes, Brian speaking" he said as he wipe his sweat "Brian. How are you? Been five years" he heard the most familiar deep voice that made his eye go wide "I-I'm fine. How 'bout you?" he stuttered "very fine, would you like to come here?" the man from the other line said "for what?" he asked "Let's have a cup of tea" the man said and he nodded as if he can see him "okay" he simply said and hang up the phone "Henry, I want you to book my flight to UK now" he said and walk away to change his clothes leaving his friend.

Location: Somewhere in England

"Let me in!" Matthew yelled "I'm sorry sir, we can't. The manager already kicked you out" the guard said but he still insist "I don't care about your manager! I have to see my girlfriend!" Matthew yelled but the guard stopped him "don't touch me" he said and was about to twist the guard's arm when his phone suddenly rang "you're lucky I have a call" he said before picking up his phone. "Hello?" He answered "Been 5 years" he heard the voice that made his face pale. "What do you want?" he asked instead of greeting the man on the phone properly "A cup of tea" the man said "I don't drink tea" he said "I want to see you right now" The man on the phone demanded that made him gulp

Location: Somewhere in Thailand

"How are you" Michelle's butler asked. She have 2 butlers, one is Fred, the man who betrayed her and two is Arthur, her loyal butler and friend since she was 16. That time when Jackson showed out of the blue, Arthur wasn't there because his wife is sick. How are you? Michelle asked herself. She's not good nor bad, she's just…nothing. It's been five years but it's like yesterday since that incident happen "Cool" she answered with her bored tone as they ride their horses. Michelle decided to stay in their Hacienda here in Thailand 5 years ago. "Do you still miss him?" Arthur asked "I always miss him" she said as she closed her eyes to feel the cold breeze gently hitting her face. "I'm sure he's already happy" Arthur said and chuckled "tell my secretary to cancel all my appointments tomorrow" she suddenly said "why?" Arthur asked "Because I'm already tired dealing with those people, that I don't even know" she said as she open her eyes "You asked for this right?" "I didn't ask for that company, my dad gave its name to me and I'd rather be an agent than to be a CEO of that company" she said as she rolls her eyes "okay, I'll call your secretary" he said.

They hopped off their horses and the maids gave Michelle a water "Ma'am, you have a phone call" the maid said and gave her the phone "Hey, Michelle" she heard the voice that made her eyes widened, she turned to her butler and her butler just gave her a confuse look "Too surprised?" the man on the phone said "I want you to be in the company by tomorrow" the man demanded that made her smirk "How dare you to say that to me" she said "I'll be there by next week, I'm too busy to waste my precious time with you" she said before hanging up and throwing the phone to the maid, the maid catch it while she walk away and her butler follows

"Who's that?" Arthur asked "Someone unexpected" she said while walking "what's for dinner?" she asked "Thai menu" her butler answered that made her stop walking "Is there any problem?" Arthur asked "Even though we're in Thailand, that doesn't mean I will eat what's on the Thai menu" she said with her firm cold voice. Since that incident happen 5 years ago, she already stopped eating her favorite Thai menu "I'm sorry ma'am" Arthur apologized that made her eyes closed in annoyance, she also hates it when people apologizes to her "I don't need an apology! Tell the chefs to throw those foods away!" she yelled in anger and annoyance that made Arthur walk away fast.

She continued walking Arthur is still not used to the new her until now. Maybe Arthur's still hoping that he can make the old Michelle come back, but he's wrong. Because for Michelle, the old Michelle already died with Mark 5 years ago, No one can change the new her, because she's already the new Michelle and no one can change her.
