C 4. Sledge Riding

"They explicitly said we should inform you, in two hours we are required to go to the central 'Tsuntsu."

Another added, "They sent us now because last time we were called, you refused to attend."

"Okay." 

He was about to turn around when one of the men asked, "Why did you bring a leopard here? Should it better to come with 'Tsun?"

Adam looked at his sledge and what is driving it. Five giant leopards were running, pulling the sledge.

One ahead, running at full speed, and it was responsible for making a solid invisible platform in the air. 

The four other leopards were equally sprinting in rows of two on the platform that was being formed. And the sledge as a whole is sliding on top of it.

Nothing is connecting the leopard and the sledge, yet as they run the sledge follows.

He wanted to ride his leopards in the forest so that he could see the forest up close, but it was changed later by the tribe elders that they are going on air.

Unfortunately for him, he has readied his leopards, and they are excited. If he left them they would give his mother a headache.

Another reason is that his mother said he should come with them because their ability will help on a dangerous occasion.

"It's alright," he said to the group and went inside. 

They all grumble and turn to leave. They hated it when it involved Adam. Because he is such an arrogant guy, that is hard to deal with.

Apart from his mother, he listened to no one. He may even reject or deny or refute anyone without care of the status of the said person.

Currently, in their Tribe, he was considered someone with the highest potential, but ironically he was not the favourite. 

There are many reasons for that but one of them is that he refused to comply with the elders in how they want to pave his way to development.

If he was asked to do something he would refuse outright, the best answer he would give was that it was not suitable for me.

'I hope those old men that call themselves Elders aren't going to ask me to do something stupid.' 

Adam was born within a competitive environment of old traditional tribes.

In their tribe dedication, bravery, courage, achievements have to be accomplished for one to have a high standard. 

You cannot be the son of a Chief and bask under his glory forever.

A child of a Chief will be demoted to the level of a commoner when he couldn't produce something that will tie him to his father.

For example, if a father killed a bear and attained glory and status, for an adult child to enjoy the benefits of the fathers' status he has to show equal bravery, perhaps by killing a bear cub.

But it's more complicated than that, it's not that the child will not eat good food or drink or have good clothes to his fathers' level.

After confirming there was no one else to disturb him, he opened the stars covered book and continued reading.

It's a secret book that his direct ancestors wrote, it contains information about their experience. 

It details some of the good steps by step guides on how to be a better Orbiter.

Right from how to select an Orb, even though they said every Orb is the same, there are ways to select an Orb that will truly suit you. 

It also gives better ways to absorb tauraro seed.

The guides are not that important as even without them, one will flourish. The book makes sure to say that explicitly.

But there are small benefits in following the minor steps.

Adam seeks perfection in everything. He has the talent and the means to follow all the boring steps.

He was reading when thoughts came to his mind and he laughed.

'Hehe, people think I was a troublemaker. Go meet my mother. All the bias I'm being shown was because she refused to marry an elder, and she even beat him up black and blue without a care in the world.

The stupid elder was the leader of the Medium elders, he claims that my father was dead since before I wasn't born. And after that, he kept pushing that claim.'

The world is a dangerous place, if people went on an adventure and did not return or heard of, anywhere for a certain amount of time they might be considered dead.

And my father was said to have travelled to a forbidden zone and died there.'

After the two hours given, he stored the book away. And direct the ever sprinting leopards to move to the Central 'Tsuntsu to answer the Tribe Elders summon. 

'Tsun'tsu is the largest flying animal that glides in the air. It's something like a dragon but with feathers. 

It has a crop that has a separate space dimension that carries the Elders and serves as a meeting place for the tribe members.

In Adams' tribe, every family comes with their travelling animal. That is why Adam has his separate sledge drawn by Leopards.

What the Elder told them was that they are within the vicinity of the maze gate, and everyone was expected to carry out their duties and be ready for what to come.

As Adam was moving away from the cluster of flying animals where they have a tribe meeting, he saw a giant long crater in the forest. 

The crater was 4 km long and about a hundred meters wide.

Looking around he heard a conversation saying that it was done by King Gale Turtle of the Strong Bone Clan.
