By the time I made my way down and back to the pack house, I was drained.
Back when I was just a weak wolf at the mercy of my mate, Xavier… I had wished for death night and day but to think I was going to die and didn't want to die was funny to me.
When I arrived at the pack house, I spotted Noah and Xavier standing in front of the building, deep in conversation. Surprised at what seemed to be a familiarity I'd never seen before, I moved closer, clearing my throat as I announced my presence.
They both looked up, Noah's face lighting up with joy when he saw me. He stretched a hand towards me and I entered it without hesitation. Our lips met as we kissed each other fervently. We would have continued kissing if not for Xavier clearing his throat repeatedly until Noah reluctantly let go.
"Where have you been? We've been looking for you?" he asked.
