15) Backstory!

'The promise is a big word. It either makes something or it breaks everything.'

A promise was made between two young souls, one was innocent and pure like a rosebud and the other one was as impulsive and hot-tempered as Volcano who could burn her delicateness with a mere touch and filled her cheerful life with eternal sorrow.

But,

Was Kai going to keep his promise or he would only use Lin to fulfil his selfish purpose? But, wait, what malicious purpose are these two young princes of Fintan harbouring? To know that, we have to steal a glimpse of the history of the pious island, Cenobia. 

The backstory of Cenobia-

2.6 million years ago, the lower heaven court was in a total mess. A huge number of Angels gathered in the Justice Palace to complain about their pathetic situation to the head Archangel of the lower Heaven court, Micheal. 

The stronger and powerful angels began to act recklessly and they used to employ those weak angels as their unofficial slaves. Those arrogant young angels became ruthless and lenient and too proud of themselves.

'Might is right!'

Haven's situation was no better than this. The weak angels tried their best to satisfy those angels but their atrocities were increasing with every passing day. One day, they decided to complain to the head of the Lower Court. 

It was a Mayhem.

All the angels divided into two groups as they gathered in front of the Archangel Michael. Lord Micheal tried to solve it with words but the weaker angels were extremely agitated and they weren't ready to negotiate just like that without a proper apology. On the other side, the powerful angels were also too egoistic to apologise.

Even after discussing for one long week, Archangel Michael and his companions weren't able to reach any final decision and on the other side, the situation of the lower court was worsening. The angels were almost going to declare a battle with each other.

Verin (a demon knight of Hell; he is also known as the demon of Impatience) was nearby at that time with his small demon army when he got the news of Heaven's inner turmoil. Taking advantage of Heaven's internal conflict, he decided to attack the Lower court of Heaven. The sudden demon's attack caught the angels off guard.

None of the angels was prepared for it.

Though the group of weaker angels and some of the stronger angels instantly ran to stop the demons from destroying and robbing heaven, a huge number of stronger angels decided not to participate in the battle and just enjoy from far, only to teach the weaker angels some lessons. Lord Michael along with his companions was also in the Upper Court at that moment.

Numerous palaces of the Lower Court were destroyed by demons and lots of angels were brutally killed. Verin's small army was unexpectedly competent and bloodthirsty. Within a few minutes, the magnificent white marble of the Lower court was tainted with thick crimson liquid. First, the angels weren't prepared for the sudden attack, second, a decent number of worthy and powerful angels decided not to fight.

Soon the result of the battle became clear.

The group of stronger angels who decided not to participate also didn't expect such a vicious outcome of the battle and got startled. But, the situation went out of control already.

Blood, corpses, and bloody limbs were scattered in the whole area. Thousands of swords were clashing with each other. Their terrifying clashings were echoing everywhere in the Lower court of the heaven, piercing the calmness.

Most of the angels began to run away in fear instead of stopping the demons. At that moment, Archangel Michael returned with his companions. He alone was enough to stop that brutal battle but the sudden attack of the demons and the haughtiness of some Angels made him so furious that he instantly ordered to banish them all from the Mortal world.

They would not only live in the human world but also would suffer from Old age, Sickness and Pain just like some mere mortals. Their mana was locked instantly but they were still stronger than a normal human of the Mortal World.

To solve that problem, the group of those stronger angels, Verin and his demon's army were sent to a separate island, Cenobia. The pious island was situated in the middle of the Venelia Sea, the sea of knowledge and was strictly protected by three barriers so that none could ever leave that island.

At first, all the banished angels and demons used to live together but a few thousand years later, the island was divided into four kingdoms to avoid internal conflicts and four powerful royal families were allotted to rule over those kingdoms to maintain the peace of the Island. Those four kingdoms were Arcelia (both angels and demons and hybrid dwellers), Fintan (hybrid dwellers), Morana (Demons' Kingdom) and Wylan (Angels' kingdom).

The power (divine mana) of the dwellers of that island was extracted after their banishment but it was impossible to suck out all the mana. So, some mana was left in their blood which passed in the next generations also. But, among all the dwellers the most powerful were those four rulings, royal families. 

It was not only because of the mana in their blood but also because of the four holy treasures of the Cenobia. After extracting the power of the angels and demons, Archangel Michael sealed it in four holy treasures and handed it back to those four royal families. Those four holy treasures were the source of the abundance of celestial powers.

Each family hid their treasure safely and began to rule their kingdoms. Though the relationship between Fintan, Morana and Arcelia was never good, the island was at peace for the next few crores years. The dwellers already forgot about their divine past and it was nothing but a myth now, some superficial tales, made by their ancestors. 

Until one day, the barriers of the Cenobia were broken by an unknown divine power with a glimmering fire spark. The holy treasures which were sealed by Archangel Michael began to glow once again, awakened partially by that mere touch of Celestial energy.

Though the dwellers assumed the incident as a natural calamity, the four royal families instantly realised that some divine creature took shelter somewhere in Cenobia and the power of that divine creature was the key to ASCEND once again.

From that very moment, all the royal families began to search for that sacred creature to awaken all the holy treasures and regain their lost glory.

Kai and the First Prince of Fintan were in Arcelia for that reason or at least to steal the holy treasure of Arcelia. But, they ended up getting trapped there because of the sudden announcement of the Crown Prince of Arcelia.
