I’m Pregnant, Asshole!

"So, what did you say? Don't tell me you didn't agree."

I cringed as I remembered what happened that night. I still can't forget it because not only did he drop me in the middle of the road where there weren't many cars passing by, but I almost couldn't get home because of that annoying guy. Seriously, ugh!

"No, Trid. I have high standards when it comes to having a boyfriend. I don't want to waste it just because of him," I replied, preparing breakfast for my mom.

The house was silent when I stepped out of my room. I headed straight to the kitchen, still with my phone in my ear, hearing Astrid cursing.

"You're so foolish, girl. The one and only Jackson Lucas Montgomery invited you, and you didn't agree! You don't know how lucky you are! You're so clueless!" she yelled at me.

I scratched my head and turned up the volume on the call, putting it on loudspeaker so I could cook.

"What's the big deal-"

"Tatiana, Jackson is the young CEO of the Montgomery clan. Don't you know he's already a billionaire at the age of 24? Now that he's 28 years old, I'm sure he's even richer," she explained to me, making me nod as I started cooking rice.

"No wonder he paid 50 thousand just for a night with me," I shrugged, and then I heard her voice grow louder.

"What? Are you serious? 50 thousand?" she asked, clearly shocked, and I just sighed.

"Yeah, that's what mamita said. She gave me half, so I was able to buy Thea's medicine and some other things she needed. I hope her condition improves," I whispered, careful not to be too loud in case my mom suddenly came out and overheard.

I honestly didn't know how to break the news to her. I knew what her reaction would be, and I was afraid of accepting it. I've been proving myself to her as a daughter and a sister for years, and I didn't want to disappoint her. Thea and I are their only dependents now. I don't want to jeopardize that.

"You know what? Let's just meet today before your shift at the bar. I have something to tell you about Jameson."

That was Astrid's final statement before ending the call. I hurriedly prepared breakfast before she woke up. When I finished, I rushed to the sink, feeling like I was going to throw up, but nothing came out. Is this what morning sickness feels like? Damn.

"What happened, Tatiana? Are you okay?"

I tensed up when I heard that. I quickly washed my face and turned to face my mom, who was looking at me seriously. I noticed her gaze drop to my stomach, making me even more nervous.

"Nothing, Mom. What time are you going to the hospital?" I changed the subject, pretending to casually set the table.

"They removed me from the coffee shop yesterday because they said they have a regular now, but I'm looking for another job," I began.

I noticed she was still staring at me, so I looked back at her. She seemed to be studying me closely, so I approached her immediately.

"Have a seat, ma. I'll prepare our breakfast."

"Are you sure you're okay? You look pale," she pointed out, and I averted my gaze.

"You know I'm anemic, but I already took my vitamins. Please go ahead and eat," I replied, leaving her there to go to my room and take my medicine.

I know I should tell her about my condition. I want her to know so she can be aware, but my conscience won't allow it. I can't add to our problems when we're already dealing with so much. I don't want to burden her. That's why I started working early so she wouldn't have a hard time taking care of Thea. I believe I can handle this on my own without causing her any more trouble.

After that breakfast, I quickly got ready to go to the coffee shop to meet Astrid. I planned to ask for her help in finding another job because relying solely on the bar wasn't feasible.

When I arrived, I encountered Carmen, the stern owner, who gave me a disapproving look. I sighed and ignored her, making my way inside. I saw Astrid bursting into laughter.

"Hey, Tatiana-!"

"I'm a customer," I cut her off before she could say anything more.

"You're early. I told you to come in later," Astrid greeted me as I approached her.

"I'm looking for a part-time job. Do you know of any?" I asked as I took a seat at a temporary table.

"Let's see if I can find something online," she replied, taking out her laptop.

Several hours passed before I considered leaving because Astrid hadn't found anything online. I also went to malls and supermarkets, hoping to find job openings, but I had no luck until it was time for my shift at the bar. There wasn't much I could do.

As soon as I entered, I noticed the peculiar looks from my fellow entertainers. It felt like they were talking about me because I could hear their whispers. I just brushed it off and went straight to the dressing room to get ready.

"Hey, Tatiana. Mamita called you to the office," Stacey called out to me. I furrowed my brows.

"Why?"

"She found out something about you. Hurry up," she replied, making me nervous again.

I didn't finish my makeup and went straight to mama's office. As soon as I entered, she threw an envelope at my face.

"You shameless girl! Didn't I repeatedly tell all of you never to agree without protection? What happened? Why are you pregnant?!" she screamed at me.

My eyes widened at her words. I quickly approached her, holding the envelope with money inside.

"M-mamita, you're mistaken. It's not from a customer... I mean, a customer didn't get me pregnant."

"If not, then who? You're getting paid by customers, and now you're pregnant?!" she yelled at me.

I felt a deep sense of shame for myself. I didn't know what to say.

"I-I'm sorry, but I can still work. It's not that big of a-"

"You cannot work here while you're pregnant, Tatiana. I told everyone that before hiring them," she cut me off.

I bit my lower lip to suppress my emotions.

"I-I can't afford to lose my job, mamita. You know my situation. Thea is comatose. Please..." I pleaded, but it became meaningless as she just shook her head and stood up.

"My decision is final. Above all, you know your situation, so why did you get pregnant? Anyway, that's your last pay for this month. I want you out of this place," she declared before leaving.

My shoulders slumped as she disappeared from my sight. I closed my eyes tightly as the corners of my eyes started to burn.

Damn it! Damn you, Tatiana! Why did you let yourself fall for that guy? Now you're really doomed. There's nothing left for you. Fuck it!

Full of frustration and self-loathing, I left the bar precisely at 6:30 PM. I dialed Astrid's number to tell her what happened, and she said she'd come to see me right away.

As I walked home, I noticed a large white van parked in front of Horizon Nights. Soon after, I saw a familiar man coming out of there. My eyes widened, and I immediately ran when I recognized who it was.

"Jameson! Jameson Luke!" I shouted and was about to approach him, but I was immediately blocked by his bodyguards.

"Miss, you're not allowed here."

"I just need to say something, sir, please. I need to talk to Jameson-"

"What's going on here?"

I froze in my struggle when I heard that. Jameson's serious face confronted me, and I angrily pushed him.

"You jerk! You're such a jerk! Because of you, I lost my job! You're such an asshole! Do you even remember me? Huh?!" I yelled at him, making him furrow his brows.

"What are you talking about? Who are you?" he asked, bewildered, so I pushed him again until his two bodyguards restrained me, infuriating me even more.

"I'm pregnant, asshole! We had a one-night stand, and now I'm pregnant!" I screamed at him as if he wasn't surprised at all.

He laughed and shrugged. "Same shit again, huh. Oh, to be a celebrity," he arrogantly remarked and turned away from me.

What the hell?!
