CHAPTER 61

Vera watched as Alexia got out from her car and stare at their environment in disgust .

"I can see you down graded" .She chuckled.

"Am not here for jokes,here".She threw a small bottle to her.

"What is this?".Alexia asked.

"Poison idiot,I want you to finsh Trina off. Am not gonna let her take all I've worked for and at the end I still landed in the trash-".

"You deserve to be buried in the trash bin".Alexia threw it back to her."Trina is my friend,am not so cruel to end her life.I was a fool to have met you to conspire against someone who treated me like a sister. Am not gonna do that".

Vera scoffed. "Ridiculous".She glare at her before saying out of spite."Don't speak of what happened here to anyone, if not am gonna make Aiden hate you".

"You can't do that".Alexia uttered.

"Watch me".Vera was about to head back home when Alexia pulled her back."Don't tell me your gonna do it".Alexia asked.

"Am not as bad as you,Alex".She smiled and walked off.

Su watched as her daughter Gowon goggily sat down next to her."Are you hungry sweetheart? You haven't eaten anything since you visited Teddy".

"Not hungry".Gowon curled herself on the sofa.

"Why you forcing her Su,just let her be,she doesn't seem hungry".Lin,her father says.

"If you touch her food Lin,I swear am gonna cut off you fingers".She threatened.

"You bastard woman,who are you talking to!".He grab a knife and pointed it at her .

Su shot to her foot.

"You wanna stab me,huh!".

"If you two morons wanna kill eachother please do that somewhere else".Gowon stood up and dragged her foot to her room .No matter how they fought she knew they'll still love eachother so dearly.

Gowon smiled clutching tightly to her pillow."Teddy".She whispered and recalls what had happened yesterday.

EALIER LAST NIGHT

Mrs. Su had given Gowon a scarf as a present to give to Ted.

Gowon accepted and went to his house,her heart beat furiously with every steps she took.She halted as soon as she arrived at his door step.

'Was she stupid enough to be standing at her Ex house on Christmas day by this time of the night?,she shouldn't have listened to her mother words'.

She whirl back,retreating when the door opened.

"Gowon?".Ted stared at her unsure on who he was seeing at his doorstep. "W...what are you doing here?".He manage to ask.

Gowon stared at him dumbstruck ."Gowon!".

"I...I,i was just passing by and realize this is where you live,so i was wondering if to say hello or not".She facepalmed.

Ted gaze lowered to the present in her hand.

"But-".

"I heard Jasmina is snooping around,Why??".She asked,avoiding his next question.

"She's accusing me of stealing one of her ideas which was actually mine-".

"That freaking bitch!".She cursed.

Ted chuckled.

"No need to worry Asher is helping me out and i'll head there with all my evidence & Asher lawyer tomorrow, I won't let my name be dragged into mud".He assured her,refusing to break off his steady gaze from hers.

He suddenly took a step front."Gowon,I-".

"Teddie doll,whose at the door?".His mother says,opening the door wider."Ow!,isn't it freezing why do you keep the young lady in the cold,huh Teddie doll".

"Mom".Teddy face was a bright red."Stop calling me that".He whispered.

Gowon chuckled and smiled at the lady."No need, ma'am. ..I will be on my way-".

"Nonsense".Mrs.Oliphant waved her off."Come on in and have tea with us".She tug her arm with hers and drag her in.

"And who do we have here?".Mr Oliphant adjusted his eyeglass."Your little girlfriend? ".

"Stop it dad".Ted says, biting his lower lips.

Mrs.Oliphant sat her down and sat next to her."What's your name,dear?".

"Gowon".His parents suddenly exclaimed,shocked. Gowon looked back at them,confused.

"So your the famous Gowon,Ted has told us about nonstop,you look beautiful in person than in paintings".Mr.Oliphant complimented.

"Ted talks about you a lot and draw you a lot,it's finally nice to meet you".His mother added.

Ted looked away embarrassed.

"Me too".Gowon responds.She felt shy in front of his parents.

"I heard you two break up,what a pity but am glad your still friends....I think Ted is still in love with you".She whispered in Gowon ear."Don't let go of someone this special that will cherish you".Mrs.Oliphant got to her foot and pulled her into her arms."Go home safe ok?".Gowon nods."Teddie doll,be a dear and drop her off".Ted nods and follows her to the doorstep.

"My parents could be weird sometimes" .He kicked a pebble into the gutter. "Sorry,if they embarrassed you-".

"Their actually cool".She smiled and he smiled back.

"Is this mine?".He pointed at the bag in her hands.

"Ow!yeah".She pulled out a red woolen scarf.

"Is beautiful can you put it on for me?".He nervously ran his finger through his hair.

Gowon nods and took a step forward,closing the distance between them.

She wrap the scarf round his neck.

"Happy Christmas, Teddie doll".She giggle. Her smile fell off as he took his hand into hers.

"Gowon....I..I still love you and-".She pulled away.

"G..goodnight" .With those word she ran off into the freezing snow.

PRESENT TODAY.

Gowon threw herself off her bed and grab het coat.

What was she thinking of rejecting him yesterday.

Perhaps Mrs.Oliphant was right,Ted still loves her and she let Jasmina win by letting go of him,someone this special that will cherish her. She quickly dash out from the house, to Jasmina company.

Jasmina glared at Ted.She couldn't believe she failed to frame him.

When he first entered here she thought he was going to pleads for her to stop the case and become hers not knowing he had someone strong backing him.

"Your mine Ted only mine,am gonna fight for you,no matter what...Gowon isn't yours,there is no one to stop me,why not love me,huh?".

"Haven't you done enough?I think is time to give up-".

"No!why can't you love me,am beautiful, am everything a man wants a woman to be, why Gowon?".Jasmina broke into a sob.

"Stop hurting my daughter!!".Her father yelled.

"Then you guys to stop trying to ruin me,I don't like your daughter, so quit all this unless you'll also lose your company!".He threatened.

"Teddy!".Jasmina threw herself at him."I can give you my wealth, my body,please love me".She said,struggling to kiss him,Ted pushed her away and glared at her in disgust.

"But you can't give me Gowon.I love Gowon for who she is,her flaws,anger,how strong and boyish she is,I love every single thing about her.Wealth can't buy love,wealth can't buy the strong and undying love I have for Gowon. So stop being shameless and do something with your life".He whirl back and opened the door, his eyes widens in shock."G...Gowon!".She instinctively threw herself at him.

"Am sorry I doubted your love for me,am sorry".She broke into a sob.

"And why did you doubt my love for you?".He inquiries.

She pulled away.

"B..be..because you said you always wished for girls like Jasmina not someone like me".Ted chuckled at how she misunderstood what he had said that day.He uses his thumb and wipe her tears.

"I did wished for that but fate matched me up with someone like you & am contented and I love you so dearly".His lips smashed with hers.
