But Adeline didn't think it was a suitable place to ask him now. 

She held back her curiosity and looked at Edmund worriedly. But he just smiled lightly. 

"Mr. Stock, you don't have to be afraid of me. But I have no idea that you're a man who like to hit woman?"

"You..." Cody was on verge of losing his temper. Considering Marcus was also present, he tried held back his anger. 

He then roared: "We're not done with this!"

"Yeah I'm waiting!" Edmund said. Before they left, Marcus gazed at Edmund with a puzzled look.

Then Edmund turned to Adeline, "Why are you guys here?"

"We have something to talk to Mr. Stack. And now we're leaving." She answered. 

It was still her working time, so she didn't say much. 

After they left, Brant teased, "It seems like Adeline is hiding something from you!"

Edmund frowned, "check it out."

Brant has always been good at finding out secrets, so he quickly knew what was going on.
