Tale 5: The Protectors

Long ago before everything we know was created there were four people, each reigned over a piece of the planet but with nothing to do, they were very bored. They pleaded to the gods for powers to create lands to live among and for people of which to make friends. The first was granted the power of Water and Metal, he used his power to cover the planet in seas and spread various metals and gemstones throughout the planet. The second one was granted power over Fire and Earth and he used his power to create large continents in the seas and used his fire to create volcanoes which showed his mightly power. the Third was granted the power over Thunder and the Winds and used her powers to create the clouds, the skies, and high mountains of which she resided. The fourth and final one was granted the power over Ice and Plants, she used her power to create large ice structures and lands of snow along with the first plants which populated every region even under the waters and the fiery volcanoes. But the four of them were saddened by the fact of nobody to show their wonderful land to, so they worked together to create life, using the Second's ability to create small statues and the First's to put water in to give them movement, the Third used her power of lightning to give them energy as to help them move and do normal activities, and the Fourth used her plants to give sentience and life to it creating the first Humanoid, the Beastkin. The four weren't done there they used their power to create more land and life including all the animals we know today and the magical monsters as well. The four beings thought that with this power they'd make several different life forms to live in the various regions of the land they had created and they did just that. Elves for the forestland, Dwarves for the high mountains and the caves, Terrans for the wide plains, sea folk for the oceans, and the orks which wandered around with a nomadic lifestyle. Of these new life forms, the Terrans were gifted with a power none of the rest had, the ability to adapt to the environment rapidly. and their spread caused the creation of the Goliaths, the Golems, and the Fae. Each of these new races descended from the first Terrans evolved as time went on and slowly were disconnected from their shared ancestors. As this creative period of life died out the four beings were revered as gods but they knew that this was not the best way to go forward into the future so the beings made a deal, each would take one of the regions of the land and create cities there as to hold the life forms they had created. The being of Fire took the south, the being of Ice took the north, the being of Lightning took the east, and the being of Water took the west. they were then named by the people they protected, the being of the south was named Yinishki, the being of the east was named Yanugai, the being of the west was named, Wanshu, and the northern being was named Yashiro. As the times passed and the four beings rew more distant and their empires more secluded fro the others, the four ere regarded as their guardians. Their Protectors.
