Chapter 10 Resolution

"Ehh!" Yang Yu groaned as he woke up. "Oh god!" He said as he jumped out of his bed. The room was filled with gunk, and so was he. "I need to take a shower!" Yang Yu said as he ran off. Before leaving for the shower though, he left a note on his doorstep to clean his room.

"You're lucky, I had to watch that gunk these past few hours." Yun Zhu said as the sun rose over the mountains. Currently Yang Yu was running across the forest, towards a lake he had noticed earlier. "Man I need new clothes as well." Yang Yu said, as a lake came into view.

"You really do." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu took off his robes. "By the way, since this is a public area, just communicate via your thoughts." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu nodded.

'Anyway seeing as you have so many techniques, you've got some Sky level techniques I could use to do Body Cultivation and Meridian Formation?' Yang Yu thought as he cleaned himself.

"Yes, I have quite a few, just pick an attribute and I'll give you the best technique for you." Yun Zhu said. 'What do you mean attribute?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu began to pace while hovering over the lake.

"You see, although one doesn't need to have an attribute as soon as they begin to cultivate, its best if they do. This is because at Elemental Fusion, one must cultivate 2 elements and gain experience with them, but if they are learned on 1 prior, then they'll have a much easier time. Not only that, but considering most offensive and defensive techniques typically have an attribute later on, having your main technique have an attribute is best." Yun Zhu explained.

'Good to know, and now that I think about it, what element should I pick?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu smiled. "Don't worry too much about, even if you decide in a week, it won't be a problem." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu nodded.

'Well what are the strongest elements?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu pondered for a moment. "Well all elements in essence, are equivalent, but some are definitely stronger than others. For example Time and Space, Yin and Yang. These 4 are definitely the strongest, but I don't have any foundational techniques for Time and Space, and while I do have for Yin and Yang, there's an issue." Yun Zhu explained.

'What's the issue?' Yang Yu asked inquisitively. "The issue is, that Yin and Yang are extremely hard to cultivate unless you have the appropriate talent, as well Yin is more suited towards women, so although you can still cultivate it, your progress will be harder. I do have a method to allow you to cultivate them later, but you'd have to think about it for now." Yun Zhu answered as Yang Yu nodded.

'So what are their properties?' Yang Yu inquired, naturally he felt a higher affinity for Yang, but for some reason, he was attracted to Yin. "Yang is an element associated with the sun, the sun is of Yang element for example. Yang represents activeness and positivity. In contrast Yin is an element associated with the moon, as the sun is Yang, the moon is Yin. Yin represents passiveness and negativity." Yun Zhu explained.

'So Yin is related to ice and snow, and coldness?' Yang Yu inferred from what Yun Zhu said. "Yes." Yun Zhu nodded, enjoying Yang Yu's comprehension of what he had said. "I pick Yin." He said resolutely.

'I've spent the majority of my life fearing winter, and in essence the cold, so its my turn to take control of it.' Yang Yu said as he finished washing. "Good, finish washing up and we'll begin your training." Yun Zhu said Yang Yu got out of the lake.

After that he grabbed his clothes and began to wash them. Once finished he left them dry as he sat by the side of the lake. As he lay by the side, he watched the once clear lake, filled with the gunk he had excreted.

'I feel bad, but meh.' He thought as someone arrived through the forest. "Who destroyed my lake!?" She screamed. She was a girl of about 15, she had long black hair and clear green eyes. Her well developed figure was adorned in the azure Inner Disciple robes, of the Sky Spirit Sect.

Her eyes shot about and soon they landed on Yang Yu. "Who are you?" She asked surprisedly as she unsheathed her sword and pointed at Yang Yu. "Yang Yu, 12, 301st Inner Disciple of the Sky Spirit Sect." He stated concisely as she was confused.

"Okay, put clothes on first." She said as she looked away. "They're drying." Yang Yu replied as she was dumbfounded. "Okay, okay. Well anyway, you must be that boy everyone is spreading rumours about, I didn't realise you had moved to our mountain." She said as she turned around.

"Didn't know there were rumours, and on the topic of introducing ourselves, who might you be?" Yang Yu asked. "I am Qin Xiao, 15, Inner Disciple." She replied while mimicking Yang Yu.

"Good to know." Yang Yu replied, as he continued to gaze at the lake. "So did you ruin my lake?" She asked in frustration, coming back to the original topic. "Yes, if need be I'll clean it later." Yang Yu said.

"Later? I think you mean, now!" Qin Xiao said not backing down. "Well I don't see why I have to listen to you." Yang Yu replied. "Hmm? You'll see." Qin Xiao said as she grinned evilly.

"Well, my clothes are dry, I am going to leave." Yang Yu said a few minutes later as he wore his tattered robes. As soon as he did so, tree roots began to tangle his feet as he was trapped in place.

"What the?" He said as Qin Xiao laughed. "Hahaha, you thought you could get away from me? I am ranked 78th out of the 300 Inner Disciples, you think I take offence lightly?" Qin Xiao said as her emerald green eyes locked onto Yang Yu.

"Do you regret your decision?" Qin Xiao asked. "I regret nothing." Yang Yu replied as Qin Xiao appeared in front of him with an evil light in her eyes. "Well you will after today." Qin Xiao as Yang Yu looked on uninterested.

That day, torture which need not be mentioned occurred, and Yang Yu regretted the mere thought of ever offending Qin Xiao.

Later in the evening he walked home with annoyance in his eyes, as Yun Zhu watched giggling. "What's your problem?" Yang Yu asked irritated. "Nothing, nothing at all." Yun Zhu replied as Yang Yu entered his house.
