Chapter 169: Bound with Shackles

Kiel never expected that he will be pulled by Cyprus to his own bed. Thanks to Cyrus' who mercilessly had their knee caps clapping on the ground and their knuckles punching against the gravity. His body just gave out. Kiel can see Ain being carried by Gatsby like a potato sack. When Cyprus bath and tuck him in bed he noticed a kiss mark on his neck.

"Is that from Nata?" Kiel pointed.

Cyprus ignored him and left his room.

Cyprus can still recall how Dorothy plunged herself on him even when his wife is at view. Cyprus was prepared to hear a yell nor accusations from Natalina but his eyes only caught a lone tear sliding from her eyes. Cyprus already washed and applied all the lotions and gels within his twin brother's room but was ineffective.

Cyprus opened the door and found his beautiful wife fixing their son's bed. Her silence was more suffocating than her abusive words. Natalina exited the room without saying anything and visited her father's room at the guest room.

"It's late dear lady and your out here?"

Gatsby inquired.

Natalina's face says it all. Gatsby was also there when Dorothy threw herself at Cyprus.

"I just missed you dad." She muttered but her eyes were moistening.

"Then you can join me. Who am I to turn down a request from my precious lady."

Cyprus waited till mid night for Natalina to turn in but she never came. He can't leave their children alone knowing Dorthy is still within the vicinity. He sighed and had to view Natalina's face from a while ago. Gatsby sent his bird and infromed him about Natalina. Cyprus finally settled in yawned as he dozed off.

Nevi and Urchin reached the top while Lila finished her last jump. Ophir is almost at the peak as the sun set. When Ophir finally stood with the two Resh gave the signal to retreat for the day but no one was able to move. Resh carried Lila and Urchin while Mem pulled Nevi and Ophir as he scold his father.

Nevi is the strongest when it comes to physical activities but here he is being dragged like a bear hunted for dinner. Ophir coughed and scratch his skin and for a moment he wished Lehi is there with him to heal his wound.

Ophir immediately scolded himself and viewed the gray clouds unto a sparkling stars.

Lehi and Hexel got attacked by an unknown person who appeared out of nowhere. Lehi summoned her comb and used it to send the attacker flying but she was the one who hit the trunk and recieved her own blow. Hexel used his sword and blade to spar with the opponent. Hexel pushed him back and had him at the edge but he instantly change the course of the battle ground and Hexel had his nose hit the soil.

"Cyrus just sent me a pair of babies." the manly voice muttured.

Hexel and Lehi was stretching by the moment the man started counting down.

"Hexel Bowden you must be Tera's son."

Hexel nodded since the man sat on his back when he slump on the ground.

"So, how is she?" The man with carrot eyes and bell pepper hair replied. Despite his vegetarian impresssion his face is alluring.

"She is doing great except that she nags a lot." Hexel replied as he catch his breath.

"It's her trade mark anyway. So, a Lorelei from the famous Note Takers? Cyrus may not have mentioned but I don't fancy the weakling." he warned and instructed.

"Get some rest. Let us continue this by morning."

Lila woke up but was one day late. She was alseep the whole day. By the time she woke up Resh was the only one there. Lila apologised and bowed her head. Resh brushed it off and laid the menu he prepared for the boys.

"I actually calculated that you will be left here with me..." Resh trailed when Lila punch him on the face.

"Pervert." Lila glared.

"Aw, I know your punch were good but how can you hit my face!" Resh complained and firmly instructed.

"Sit down."

Lila noticed the aura shifting and obeyed.

"Jezebel's previous deeds are visible in your blood. We need to throughly establish your own or else it will put your son in greater danger." Resh explained.

"I thought that it was just a tag name given by the demon's every encounter but I never took it seriously." Lila admitted.

"Exactly, That is why we need to have you accept your past so that you can confidently sail this moment. You have a great potential in you. That is why it's a vain to have you be bound by something historical and cultural."

Resh explained. Lila felt like a yoke had been lifted from her chest.

Cyprus saw Natalina busy within the court because of a woman who was complaining about her husband having an affair. Cyprus heared how Natalina got praised and honoured because of her just personality and conclusions. Natalina would visit and sweetly tend to her children but would ignore him. Cyprus can't even determine the right timming to talk.

When the day ended Natalina just accept his apology but her attention and actions does not give him enough space to have his own moments with her. He noticed how she got closer with Evi and it does not help that the others are not there to support and encourage him.

Cyprus got surprised when Natalina prepared a feast for their anniversary.

Lila can feel her body got electrified by the time Resh declared and sanctified her. Lila can see a fragments of her past that she never remembered. The force and feeling had her sucked in within a vast sea that never get full. Her body got shocked and trembled but her eyes have seen a lot of flashback in her ancestral line that made her wept. She repented and forgive her ancestors as Resh fully blessed her into a new person.

"Your chains have fallen. Your shackles are broken and the bounds became your rebound."
