Into the IRISH

Frey's POV

I went to visit every place I want before finally going to IRISH. I still can't get over the new skill I got in just over a day. I was able to go to places that I couldn't get on when I was still Frey. Yes, I can go on to everywhere I wanted, we can afford to but my parents don't just agree. They were strict, that even having a bodyguard was still one of the things I should have. It just went a little easier when I went to college, there I had Charles, he would let Dad know if we were going out, but there was still a limitation.

Everyone in my University knew me as the spoiled brat bully Frey but they didn't know that deep inside I am lonely. I don't need so many, all I wanted was appreciation and time from the people I love.

I avoided the heat that touched my face. It's already morning, the sun is kissing my blushy cheeks. Well, one of the advantages of being a Grim Reaper is that I don't get sleepy, meaning yours truly stays awake indefinitely. I still look like that, fresh and pretty.

And as usual, the whole IRISH Annex was busy, employees are going to and fro in various departments managed by a Madam. Andreus had mentioned her once, but I had never seen the lady in person.

As a daily routine, we will go to the washroom, clean ourselves, and get dressed. I've only been in that habit for two days but it looks like I'll get used to it as I like to shower day and night.

In Celestine's locker, the only contents are those long black robes, undies, and whatever that I haven't laid at much yet. I was not happy with that sightseeing. I look like a witch-slash vampire in her used-to get-up.

But I still grabbed a pair of clothes and then went straight to the cubicle. It was a public shower for employees, maybe it was made for those who worked overtime due to excessive workloads.

Thirty minutes later, I was walking towards the station where the daily task of the Reapers would be taken. I can only now lay out my super duper amazement at the place because the past day has been stressful for me. Well, I am new to it and I am still learning how to be a fetcher. I'm slowly getting used to it, especially since I don't have any choice. I'm still a little traumatized by what happened, but I'll just go with the flow the most important thing is, I should finish the Systems' Quest to finally wish to return to my body.

"Good Morning," I greeted the other Reaper I bumped into the hallway. I know they got shocked by my kind gestures, they should be as I am determined to change who I am.

Celestine was too lonely by herself, even her clothes speak it well. I may not be the strongest and most beautiful of all the lady Reapers but I can be a good and friendly one. Before I return to my body I should help this body to get the chance to be loved and respected. I promise to make her the strongest Grim Reaper, but still, my body should wake up. I need to talk to her and make a sure bull deal about the transmigration we have. I didn't want to suffer as Victor did.

I bit on my thumb eyeing the bunch of Reapers approaching the way to the schedule room. Then, the tall and masculine body of Andreus welcomed my eyesight. He immediately waved at me and asked where I was last night. His story told what happened to him escorting Hailey to her Dorm.

And speaking about the dormitory, I asked him about that without starting a doubt on his face. I will surely be caught if he furrowed his head telling me I should know about it.

"Oh, and regarding your Dorm, here." He reaches into his jacket pocket, he pulled out a key.

"I forgot to give it back to you, the day the council released you then they gave me this, accompanied by your dismissal in your life too," Andreus shouted to rejoice, although I was silently staring at the key I had.

I was fascinated by this world, I can't believe how modernized the Grims World is. This is not a scary place just like in stories, it was like a parallel world from my real world.

"Hey, aren't you happy?" Andreus seemed embarrassed by his reaction. He thought that I would accompany him with another loud laugh.

"Of course, yeah it was so funny. I am happy. I knew they will probably return it to me." I slipped the item inside the pocket of my inside robe and led the way to the room. I must hide my clumsiness and curiosity in front of him.

Captain Farvati came early as she was already sitting on the chair in front of the big trunk spitting the soul card we should have for the day. The Big Trunk was made from the oldest tree located at the Afterlife's heart. As I learned, the legendary trunk was sculpted by the first King who ruled the Hell domain, and I forgot what his name was.

Our Captain oh her ponytail and branded denim pants paired with a black shirt and a blazer signed me in and took the Card that we must have. She is not fond of speaking to us. She will just command then teleport, come back then teleport again. She was like a pimple, popping out elsewhere she would like.

I waved at them the moment I handed down the task card. Andreus opened it while Captain just stood beside us, arms crossed, and seemed not to want to join our little discussion.

"It was a car accident, oh what a tragic one. The lady's car was hit by an eight-wheeler truck on the way home. Location, Hilton Tunnel." Andreus passed the card on to me. The details he said were not pasted on the red burning card. Instead, a magical invisible pen is carving words on it. I waited for it to finish before reading it out loud to them.

"Yuri Palermo, 29 years of age. Born August 15, 1993. Died on May 12, 2023. Cause of death: A car accident."

I was saddened after voicing out the Soul's information, dying crucially is a double of pain in a heart. Dying is painful, especially if you still have goals and business on Earth. Then you die being murdered or in a critical accident is another topic. Even a soul will be traumatized in this kind of situation, I wonder what is this soul doing right now.

"It was already eight hours after she died, she kept on running from the reapers on the midnight shift. They all said that she was such a playful ghost at the age she had," Captain Farvati said.

My eyes were focused on her, I was so amazed by her sweet voice. It was the longest sentence I heard from our Captain so far, amazing!

"Are you even listening to me, Celestine?"

Andreus snapped me at my back, I asked for an apology and told the truth that I was just mesmerized by our captain's voice. Andreus laughed and messed up my hair. While the Captain was serious and just glared at me with her left eye curled up.

"Tsk. Focus Celestine. I'm not playing around."

I shut up my mouth at the instant and followed them leaving the place. She and Andreus kept on discussing something while I was just silently listening.

"The body was at the Central Hospital, the two of you go there and check for the claimant. I'll go some round at the tunnel where the accident is. Contact me immediately if you found something unusual."

"Yes, Captain." I and Andreus answered back before Captain Farvati disappeared from our sight.

"So I am hoping we will not be borrowing the car again at the storage, Celestine?" Andreus smiled while he pushed the glass door at the exit way.

"Of course." I even left a thumbs-up for him.

"The Central Hospital is a bit far from here. One and a half kilometers, I think."

"Okay," I simply replied to him. He was fast, and in just a blink of an eye, he disappeared from my sight.

It was indeed cool to teleport. I inhale from my nose and exhale in my mouth first before diving to my destination. I flickered out and in, but to my surprise, I am not at Central Hospital.

It was messy in here. The pillows, mattress and there are clothes scattered on the floor.

Oh my god!

I heard a giggling sound in the comfort room, it was a voice of a man and a woman. Are they having a shower? I tried to relax and do the teleportation again.

"C'mon, we need to leave right now." I nervously talk to myself as if they will catch me on their bed in my reaper mode. I don't want to see what will they be doing this very morning.

"System, do something," I commanded.

[THE SYSTEM DOESN'T HAVE ANY ITEMS THAT CAN BE USED. BUT THE HOST CAN JUST PUT HER HAND ON HER EYES AND PRETEND TO NOT HEAR AND SEE ANYTHING.]

What? I rolled my eyes and slapped my hand on my head. This system is Insane.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
