This is bad!!! When he heard the word server, his heart skip a beat. His assumption may be wrong so he needs to hear it first from the Supreme System.

[Intervention in the Supreme System Server. This protocol needed to be initiated immediately when the Supreme System detected danger in its existence, hence the Supreme System Self-Preservation has been activated and installed in the Supreme System Server.]

Obviously, Gerard gets the gist of it. This protocol is a defense mechanism of the Supreme System to protect itself from malicious software or cyberattack. He knows most of the defense protocol of the Supreme System, provided the developer didn't change anything which is probably impossible.

And this is the first time he heard about this defense protocol.

[All players upon summoned to the stone table are granted a System Menu Interface of their own. When you were summoned to the stone table, you were not granted one which prompted an error to the Supreme System Server. And when you interacted with a Player, another error occurred due to your job class as Special-NPC. After deliberating to solve the issue of repeated errors, the Supreme System Server forced itself to create a system for you to use. Hence, giving you the Supreme System Menu Interface. This is an unusual occurrence because the System Menu Interface of Players is inferior to yours. Giving you a tremendous advantage if not properly controlled, that was why electrocution is necessary to discipline the Host.]

[Giving you the Supreme System as your System Menu Interface, the occurrence of error was resolved until you keep triggering a quest whenever you meet a hidden Elite NPC that was supposed to be discovered when the first player reach Level 10. Because of this, to resolve the issue once again, the Supreme System Server decided to unlock another tab for you where you can navigate your learned subclasses. And when you interacted with players, joined the Major Event intended for Players only, and help them to defeat the Special Monster, another error occurred.]

[This multiple error occurrence forced the Supreme System Server to forcibly log you out to avoid a forced shutdown. But when it initiate the forced log out, your body was not found in the Virtual Cabin which lead initiated the Supreme System Self-Preservation and lead to the current situation. As a repercussion and to end the occurrence of error once and for all, the Host's most important perk was removed. Rendering your job class to be refurbished.]

Gerard focused all his attention on the Supreme System explanation that he didn't realize the latter already finish explaining things for him.

Before even the Supreme System explains, he already has lots of questions to ask and when he understands the explanation to his one question, more questions popped from his mind, making him massage his temple.

There are lots of uncertainty and loopholes to the Supreme System's explanation that he cannot understand or point out the source.

Why was his consciousness still kept although the Supreme System has an option to forcibly log him out? He didn't buy the Supreme System learning that his body was not found in the Virtual Cabin. His consciousness is not paramount to the Supreme System that even if he was erased, the Supreme System can still run the game.

He gets the gist of everything, but first things first! He needs to clarify the perk he loses!

Gerard gulped after saying his piece question.

He would lie if he said he is not prepared for the repercussion but hearing that he now can be killed by the Player permanently, his brain seems to stop functioning. His questions and follow-up clarification vanished in an instant like they didn't exist there in his mind from the start.

Permanently killed. What does it even mean? Does it mean once he died, there's no coming back? No more respawn in the stone table? No more Gerard? No more Payne Blanc?

It took him a couple of minutes before he was able to clear his mind. But the anxiety is still there but kept from building up again.

"When you say I can be permanently killed by Players. Does it mean, there's no going back? I will literally die?"

[Yes. Once the Host was killed whether, by the hands of Players, NPCs, Monsters, and Demons, the Host will not be reincarnated in the Stone Table.]

'Then how about my consciousness?!"

"Why?!"

He cannot help but cursed out. There are a lot of things going on inside his head aside from other information he is trying to figure out.

And what are those filtered explanations? Whenever important information is spilled out, due to unknown reasons the Supreme System explanation is censored!

But it seems that the Supreme System can peek through his mind and clarify his confusion.

Damn it! That information is important so he can figure out the loopholes and clarify all the things that are happening.

But before his anger could build up, the Supreme System interjected once again.

Hearing the explanation, Gerard felt that his body was poured cold water, making his anger subside instantly.

Because of this, his mind starts to think clearly again.

The Supreme System is right. I should be grateful I can still continue living even if it's inside the game.

"I am sorry. It is just that there's a lot I needed to process to get over this.]

[I understand. To relieve your stress, do the Host want to hear the good news?]

In that instant, Gerard closed his eyes and softly muttered "At last! Some Good news!"

"Please, let me hear some good news!"

Gerard was stupefied. He didn't know how to react. He can't decide whether to cry or laugh. He can do both but his body won't cooperate because his mind is on cloud 9.

This was because as payment for losing the most important perks, the Host was given a chance to have the freedom to choose a Main Job Class and go on an adventure like all the Players were supposed to do.]

After saying the tab, the Supreme System Menu Interface navigates on its own. Switching from the current Tab to Reputation Tab. Obviously, Gerard knew who did that.

[The Player Respect under the Reputation Tab was removed. This is because the Host can now see the Respect of Players towards to the Host.]

[Aside from removing the shackles of forbidding you to adventure like all the Players were supposed to do and giving you a new path in life, there's nothing more to explain.]

After the explanation, Gerard was left dazed by the Supreme System. Shocking Gerard's whole being. Whether he was a Software Bug, Software Flaw, or Unit Data as the Supreme System called it, he didn't care. He also didn't care even though the most important perk was lost in the process of preserving his consciousness inside this game. He even forgot about the filtered information spewed out by Supreme System that keep troubling him.

What matters to him right now is that his wish was granted.

He is now considered a free NPC that has plenty of potential if he pushes himself to his limit!

He can now go toe to toe with Players and other NPCs as long as he is careful about his action.

Gerard is still in his own world when he heard a knock on his room. He then wakes up from being dazed as he heard a familiar voice.

"We're going to enter.]

After a couple of seconds, the door was pushed and he was greeted by Mel and a noble behind him, none other than Count Alvis.
