Time is of the essence. Everyone that plays Kingdom on its very first launch a couple of years ago before it becomes mainstream knows that time is of the essence.
This game is so hard that even adults start crying due to the frustration of being repeatedly killed by mobs or bosses. Because every time a Player was killed, there is a 50% chance to drop a couple of equipment or items. And if the player is tagged as Player Kill, once died due to a monster attack, a 100% chance to drop multiple items or equipment.
But even so, everyone loves to play Kingdom. This is because everyone can earn lots of money if they are consistent in grinding.
So Lite will not repeat the same mistake he had done on the very first time he play this game.
Moving on, Lite slowly walks around the forest. There's a high probability that the Goblin Camp is nearby so precaution is a must.
Meanwhile, inside the West Town. Gerard is patiently waiting for the Swordsman to complete the quest. Although he is waiting, he never lets the chance to unintentionally interact with Players wasted. There are a few players who passed him by and by acting like a fool or stumbling on the ground beside the Player, he thought he might have them talk to him.
Unfortunately, Players only gaze at him with anger. Some even curse him. But he didn't give up and yet, in the end, all of his efforts are wasted.
Gerard slumped on the pavement and curse those players inwardly!
Hmph! Let's see if you can get a quest from me once I become known to this Town!
Although this is only wishful thinking because he didn't know the name of these Players. The only information he can see above their head is [Normal Player: ???] or [Government Player: ???].
It irritated him, yes but it seems he needs to level up his System. And only through issuing quests, he can do it.
Giving up on the idea of interacting with the passerby player, Gerard patiently waits for the Swordsman.
But when he saw only 7 minutes remaining left on the given time to complete the quest, Gerard become anxious!
He stands up and paces back and forth.
When the time remaining time left hit exactly two minutes, at last, he was called by a familiar voice. He turns around and saw Lite full of bruises on its face his clothing is full of dirt and even tattered.
"Good Sir Payne! Here are the two Maces you asked to get for you." The Swordsman reaches his hand to hand over the two Mace to the NPC.
Gerard quickly received the Maces and waited patiently for the System to inform him about the results.
Ding!
[Notifying the Host that the first issued quest is successful]
[Please wait while processing the rewards to the Player]
Ding!
[1 Ring with the regenerative ability (+0.5 HP and MP regeneration for every 2 seconds) has been given]
[Requesting Host to hand over the remaining rewards to the Player (1 Silver and 50 copper coins)]
Gerard was dumbstruck. His jaw almost dropped to the ground.
Are his eyes playing tricks on him or it is the System playing tricks on him?
He rubs his eyes and looks at the Interface again.
[Requesting Host to hand over the remaining rewards to the Player (1 Silver and 50 copper coins)]
Once again, Gerard rub his eyes to make sure he saw the same information displayed in the Interface.
[Requesting Host to hand over the remaining rewards to the Player (1 Silver and 50 copper coins)]
Oh for fuck sake! Gerard cannot help but inwardly curse!
Reading his thoughts, the Supreme System resounded through his brain.
[Host please refrain from cursing me. I am built to be just. And my judgment deems fit and correct regarding the quest. To avoid the Host from having a full advantage, it is only necessary to reward monetary rewards to the Players who completed the quest from the Host's own pocket. It is unjust for the Host to only earn rewards while being free from expenses.]
The Supreme System reprimanded him. The gentle voice of the System seems to be gone and was replaced by a scornful tone.
Since it is the system, the same system that provided him with the Supreme System Menu Interface. Leaving no other option, Gerard yields to the system and operates the Interface, and transfers the 1 Silver and 50 Copper Coins to the Player as instructed by the Supreme System.
It seems he will have a hard time before he can live a leisurely life. Befitting his character as a Special NPC.
He look at his Inventory which break his heart when he saw the remaining coins. 3 Silver Coins and 5 Copper Coins. As for the two Mace he received from the Swordsman, he placed them in his Inventory since he didn't know what to do with them for the time being.
On the other hand, Lite upon handing over the Maces to the NPC. The system notifies him that the ring with HP and MP regenerative ability has been placed in his inventory. He quickly checks his inventory and instantly wears the ring and proceeds to check his Character Information.

Satisfied, Lite switch his gaze from the Interface to the NPC awaiting the remaining rewards. But he becomes confused seeing the ever-changing expression plastered on the NPC's face. From shock and scorn, hopelessness, delight and shock again.
This NPC is weird. I was warned by the System that there are few NPCs who have higher intelligence than the majority of the NPCs and interacting with them is bountiful.
Lite felt happy! This is it right? This type of NPC usually issues a---
But before he can ask the NPC for his inquiry, another notification rang in his ears and was displayed in the Interface.
Ding!
[Notifying the Player the monetary rewards have been given and stored in the Player's Inventory]
Lite quickly check the lower left side of the Interface and found the coins he owns increased from 1 Silver coin to 2 Silver Coins and 50 Copper Coins.
Satisfied, he shifted his thankful gaze to the NPC.
"Good Sir Payne, thank you so much! May I know if I can get back to you and receive another quest?"
There are times a Player can receive a chain quest on the same person. Although there's a low possibility, he still asked because if one can trigger a chain quest, then the rewards will be bountiful and can accommodate the Player's expenses for a week without grinding to level up!
Meanwhile, when Gerard received the notification that the transfer of coins is successful and looks at the Swordsman in front of him, he was taken aback a little bit when he saw his name!
[Normal Player: Lite]
[Tier 0 Level 1 Swordsman]
He also saw the HP, MP, and SP bars below the name and his title!
The remaining HP is still at 35% while the MP is at 10% while the SP is currently at 25%
What kind of monster did he fight? The quest requirement is only two Level 1 Goblins. Although the damage the Goblin can inflict is not negligible, seeing his HP and MP down just like that, he was shocked! He then assume Lite killed more Goblins than he was required to.
Then he heard Lite ask him a question.
Gerard smiled and responded "Since Sir Lite was able to satisfy my quest, please come back after a couple of days. I'll be waiting here in the same spot."
Lite beamed with happiness and quickly thanked the NPC and left. Time for grinding level!
"Oh but before that, I need to buy food and drinks to replenish my HP and MP since Potions is too expensive at this stage of the game," Lite mumbles to himself.
He then proceed to the Plaza where different stalls and stores are located and headed over to the same stall where he met Payne Blanc!
"Stall owner! Please give me one set of Takoyaki and one bottle of 500 ML water!"
"Hmm. It is you again, have you reported the scammer Payne to the Guards?" The stall owner asked Lite while preparing the ordered food.
To which Lite responded with a respectful attitude hoping this stall owner will issue him a quest "Nope. He is not a scam, he give me a quest and rewarded me after completing the quest! Good Sir, is there any possibility you are also issuing a quest?"
The stall owner was taken aback. He was surprised that he stop what he was doing and gaze at the Swordsman in front of him.
But after a couple of seconds, he recollects himself and prepared the order.
"Here Young Adventurer. Unfortunately, I do not since I can gather alone all the needed materials for my stall. If you want a quest, head over to the Town Hall. If you reached Level 5, you could register for the Adventurer's Guild. I heard the quest is piled up on the guild since they are lacking a brave adventurer like you!"
Hearing the answer made Lite a little depressed but he quickly overcome it. Quest is hard to come by so he should be thankful he found Payne Blanc that can issue a chain quest!
After paying for the food, he quickly consumes it while walking on the plaza.
