Humanities Rebound

It is said that tens of thousands of years ago, earth was invaded with monsters from other dimensions.

After a third of humanity was killed off, humans started to gain mystical powers which are called 'skills'.

Each human who recieved a skill were called mages. The ancient mages who wielded the supreme skills sealed away all the monsters to small pocket like worlds called dungeons.

Humanity was rebuilt and mages are now a profession just like regular jobs. If a dungeon isn't cleared, the monsters inside will escape and cause havoc, which is called a dungeon break.

Skills are split into a few categories: offensive, defensive, passive, and misc.

Offensive skills are to attack, defensive skills are to defend, passive skills can be a permanent buff or something along those lines and miscellaneous skills are things like healing spells or summoning soldiers.

Skills can also be divided into grades just like mages: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, and above that are called divine skills/mages.

There are also a special type of skill called Innate Skills, these are just passive skills that are awakened upon becoming a mage, these innate skills can be very strong or very weak.

There are a few different things mages can do depending on what skills they use. Some fight in dungeons, some work in hospitals, and some create elixirs.
