What big secret lurks underneath this scheming System? ================ Excerpt ================ "I'm not a sophisticated cook; my home cooking is so-so." "I can cook just fine." "Please split the house chores. With my guardianship duty, it's impossible for me to do the housekeeping alone." "Do you think I can't pay for cleaners?" Chiaki looked up from beneath her long lashes. "And lastly, um, don't force me in bed without my consent." "Do I even look like I want to sleep with you?" ======= This novel shares the same universe as my other novel, Taking Back This Battered World (TBTBW). Lance, I’m Confused

To test her suspicion about who was from the same physical realm and to gather more info about her origin, Chiaki came to the next Council meeting prepared.

She had a list of harmless questions she could ask the elders without arousing suspicion. The answers to the questions could probably bring her one step closer to the truth.

First target: Elder A, working on a project with the capital city's mayor on drainage plumbing. He would totally not suspect Chiaki's question.

"Morning, Elder. May I ask if you have five minutes?" Chiaki asked, interrupting the elder's walk on the corridor towards the library of the Council hall.

She had a flash recollection of whether she had returned the dakon board properly. She did, phew.

"We can talk now. Anything I can help the South Guardian with?" he asked.

"Hm, nothing difficult, nothing difficult," she waved her hand and curled up her lips to form a sincere and welcoming smile.
